  1. Has had some injury issues. When targeted (and a good ball is thrown..EHhem) makes plays every single time. Hackett often tries to get too cute by using him as a "decoy" against formitable CBs. Uh, you sacrificed a 1st round pick in 2015 for a DECOY? NOT smart..but I guess that's why we're on the outside looking in (again..)
  2. I was thinking this as well. Williams, whether Marrone wants to believe it or not, has alot to offer as a redzone target. And Belichick has a knack for turning one teams "trash" into his treasure. And as much as we hate Brady, it's truly amazing what a formitable quarterback does for an average reciever. Besides Gronkowski, look at who New England has for recievers: LaFell, Edelman, Tim Wright. Put those guys with Orton and we probably have the same record if not worse, unfortunately.
  3. This bothered me as well. He punts, then proceeds to burn up all his timeouts with 5 minutes left..then hangs his hat on an offense that, for the majority of the day, had taken forever to even cross midfield..and an onside kick from his "kickoff specialist"?!?! Marrone needs to grow a pair. That and get his head out of his arse and research when you ACTUALLY should and should not go for it on fourth down. SMDH
  4. Once we lose to Green Bay, you will get your wish, and Manuel will start in Oakland (after this week we will officially be eliminated).
  5. I've been reading through some prediction posts here at OBD as well as TSW threads. Doesn't seem like the media nor alot of my fellow posters give us much of a chance Sunday. I can tell y'all this, and if I'm wrong and we get blown out, I'll come back Monday and eat all the crow you wanna throw at me: This is NOT the same Broncos team from last year! Yes, the media would like them to be, etc. etc. etc. Number 3 in meaningless power rankings, yada yada yada. Has anybody watched their games this year?! Off the top of my head, i can count two, maybe three where Peyton Manning ACTUALLY looked like Peyton Manning. There's a blueprint for beating this team Sunday: Stop CJ Anderson, make them one dimensional and Knock Peyton around...we've been good most of the year against the run...and, oh yeah...we lead the damn league in sacks but a ton! Manning cant move. I guess my biggest concern would be the guy that's done nothing but own us over the years, and that's Wes Welker. He should be focus #1 in film study all week! Secondly, yes I know the offense has sucked the last few weeks. But if Orton does what he was brought here to do, manage the game, and we can get even SOMEWHAT creative playcalling offensively (HACKETT!), I think our odds are better than most think. I mean, when's the last time a bills team hasnt been below .500 this far into the year? BILLS 26 BRONCOS 23
  6. I think we have a legit shot of beating Denver. As the week goes on I'm growing more confident. Green Bay will be the toughest of the three IMO. It's also important for the Bills to not overlook Oakland in the Black Hole should we split the forst two or, by some miracle, go 2-0.
  7. 🔼🔼 I can only IMAGINE how many late hit personal foul calls Brady will rack up in THAT one! Pray Walt Coleman is in another city for that one!
  8. Three out of four against Manning, Rodgers and Brady. Three out of four against the big dogs and most complete teams in the league. Not against your Wild Card or fellow "In The Hunt" teams, but against the Hosses of this league! I know I may be asking for a death sentence in saying this, but I'm ecstatic that the last three of four are against these teams. We know our defense is straight up BADA$$, but I truly believe these games will give us a gauge of where we are as a football team as a whole! And...is it just me, or is anyone else gaining more confidence as the week goes on about the upcoming game with the vaunted Broncos?... GO BILLS!
  9. I know its not the same NFL as the league seemingly evolves more and more each year, but consider this: Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson have SuperBowl rings...and it aint because of their "wonderful" performances with their respective teams those seasons!
  10. Eli had a decent year in '07, but it was far from great. Also, if you'll recall, the Giants front seven began taking over games down the stretch...sound familiar?
  11. I get it. Its as unlikely as getting struck by lightning twice in the same spot. The remaining stretch is, by far, the toughest in the NFL. And I know I'm probably kidding myself being as hopeful and "billieving" that the 14 year drought could end this year. But consider the following: -In 2007, the New York Giants were staring down the barrel of a losing season, before catching fire the last month and a half. Beating the (previously) undefeated Pats* with a 9-7 reg season record. There's always a team that catches fire at the end of the year. And with this defense, i think we will at least be in every, yes EVERY game down the stretch. -Denver is not the same team as a year ago: Last years Broncos relied and more often than not succeeded on Peyton's arm. This year, a much more balanced attack with CJ Anderson. However, If we CAN stop Anderson and make them one dimensional, knock Peyton around like we know how, I think we have a real shot. Green Bay at home: This in my opinion is without question the most complete team in football. I give us a shot here simply because of the defensive front 7 and the fact that its at the Ralph. If this game were in Green Bay...no shot, sorry. The Black Hole: Ive been one to give the Raiders props all year for playing hard even though they were winless up until they stunned KC a couple weeks ago. But they just plain didn't show up in Stl., dropping to the Rams 52-0. This team has officially quit. If we cant beat them, we just dont deserve it. Period. 0-fer at the Razor Blade: Look, any true, diehard Bills fan knows that in week 17, the hoodies not fielding Jimmy Garrapalo and a bunch of scrubs. He will play his starters. Just to stick it to us. But you know what? I want it that way! Secondly, in recent years, the Bills seemingly play better (although no wins) at Gillette against the Pats* than RWS. Belichick may play his starters, but I believe if we need this game more than they do...we find a way. Call it false hope, dillusion or what have you. But with Jimbo beatinv cancer, new ownership, the community pulling together to beat "SnowMaggedon"...maybe this is the year that we finally...circle the wagons... GO BILLS
  12. How about draft a quarterback and maybe get it right for once this time?...
  13. Nothin about Kelly beating Cancer, leading the Charge. Nothing about the community helping Talley thru tough times, just his usual BS. Only it set me off this time. My apologies my fellow Bills fans...
  14. A guy flaunting the "money" sign with his hands while his team is still down 2 scores in what was essentially an elimination game. According to Sully...this guys the future of a franchise. Good luck with that, Cleveland. Pass!
  15. Normally, as i said, i don't really care what the guy thinks. But he's going on and on about the Browns bringing Manziel in the game and preparing for the future and having a better plan than the Bills. WE WON THE DAMN GAME! NOT Cleveland! And btw, Manziel's already proving he's a head case and isn't going to amount to anything more than an RGIII-ish type QB. Sully is delusional, I'm sorry!
  16. Just got done reading an article that everybody's favorite "Debbie Downer" Jerry Sullivan wrote on yesterday's "victory" over Cleveland. Look, I get that this is Jerry's schtick about being a realist or whatever the hell. I usually read Sully's columns, turn the other cheek and go on about my day, whether the Bills won or lost. Today...I just cannot help myself. After reading this nit wits latest column, you'd swear the Bills lost the damn game yesterday. He goes on and on about "if you wanna get excited, go right ahead! But the offense is abysmal and playoff teams dont get shut out in the first half by the Browns!" Really Jerry? You think all Bills fans far and wide dont see that the offense will, in all likelihood, be the reason we ultimately dont make January? Is this what the freaking Buffalo News pays your butt for? To be "Captain Obvious"?! How bout this Jerry: Its been 14 years since the Bills made the Playoffs. 14 years since we've been 7-5 this far in. Its been since '04 that we can actually say we have a prayer at the postseason! Is it false hope? Probably. Can our offense hang with the likes of Manning, Rodgers and Brady down the stretch? Probably not. Do we need a clown like you to point out this stuff to fans that, I'm willing to bet 95 percent of which, have more knowledge in their pinky on the NFL than you and actually PLAYED athletics instead of sitting behind a damn typewriter or computer screen and living off the reputation of being a troll your whole "career" (if that's what you wanna call it). Jerry, do yourself but mostly, us fans a favor and take the rest of the season off for gods sake! Let the fans just enjoy the moment for once. We haven't had many to "shout" about in the last 14 years. So shut the hell up for once in your life! GO BILLS
  17. To my knowledge, CBS doesn't have this game protected and it suddenly has tons of playoff implications. Anybody have any insight on this?
  18. The 2014 version of the Buffalo Bills have not been below .500 all season. I know this is little consolation to us fans considering Buffalo currently owns the leagues longest playoff drought, however, should we sign some pivotal players on this vicious, relentless defense, add a few more pieces at key positions via the draft and free agency, I believe this team will be a force to be reckoned with within the next few years. The biggest priority (as it has been since, well...forever!) is finding a franchise Quarterback. Something we seemingly can just never get right. Go Bills!
  19. I personally think so. While I'm not usually a fan of drastic changes in the league, I believe this will eventually become a rule and should. While it worked for Seattle a few years ago (finished 7-9 yet hosted a playoff game, defeating New Orleans), I don't foresee whomever "wins" the NFC south this year being competitive with the likes of Green Bay, Dallas etc. I personally think the team with a winning record and in second or third place in a competitive, good division should be rewarded the spot. Agree? Disagree? Thoughts?
  20. On a non-Bills football Sunday, tuning into Sunday Ticket, i watched a few games yesterday when the punt team would intentionally try to take a delay of game penalty, giving the punter more room to pin the receiving team back toward its own endzone. The receiving team is then given the option to decline, which they did every single time yesterday. This got me thinking about the Detroit vs Atlanta game in London a few weeks ago. If you recall (if you were ready for football at 9:30 am on this day and watched), the Lions lined up for a field goal. As the kicker lined up and swung his leg, the refs blew the whistle for delay of game. The Lions kicker missed the initial kick, and Falcons coach Mike Smith was informed by the officiating crew that we could not decline this penalty. The Lions thus got another chance, and this time the kicker was true. Just curious on what the difference is? Doesnt make a whole lot of sense if you ask me. And, yes, after the Bills game last Thursday, i am nitpicking at everything these officials are calling and not calling. Because the consistency is historically abysmal this year. Thanks and Go Bills!
  21. This just in:Jim Kelly's not cumming back according to Shannon Sharpe!
