This was actually exactly what I expected this year. And that’s a good thing. Lots of promise from Josh Allen. Mistakes across the board from JA and the rest of the team, but things that get fixed when the FO gets another draft and some free agents in here. Watching Baldwin, Lockett, and even Dickson make great catches just shows how NFL receivers make QBs so much better. These guys aren’t even sniffing probowls.

I think a good WR has a great play on that ball. See those types of catches all the time. That said, probably not the best decision by JA in that situation.

I think a touchback is too punitive against the offense. Rather, I think the offense should keep the ball but it should be spotted all the way back at their own 1 yard line. Also think the offense should be forced to have their place kicker play QB the rest of the game and would not be allowed to run the ball, only passes. Also, the center has to line up in the slot with the punter taking over snapping duties. That seems more fair. Just kidding, I like it the way it is.

Applying the standard set in this thread, every single team has draft misses. Every one. It’s not something really unique in the NFL, when a guy drastically outplays his draft position and in any redo draft he’d be taken much earlier.

Hah. Well, I know that post sounded silly but thought it might be helpful for many people to know they don’t HAVE to take a position on everything, especially on things they don’t really know much about.

I don’t know enough about Josh Gordon’s life, mental state or substance abuse problem to make an intelligent comment about it.

Yes, I agree. Im saying I’m curious as to how this gets calculated. In a game the Bills won, both QBs threw for a TD, neither had an INT and Josh ran for a TD, I don’t understand the disparity in the two ratings.

I thought those ratings were bizarre also. Possible mistake? No way anyone watches that game yesterday and thing JA was terrible, which his QBR would suggest.

At this point any difference in draft position will be small. Most important thing I want to see is continued improvement from our young guys on O and QB and a defense that’s got mostly everyone under contract next year. If that means they win out and draft 14th because they went 7-9 rather than 9th because they go 6-10, so be it.
