Kris Jenkins Father was an absolute beast one of the best DT’s I have ever watched in his best years in 2002-2003 he was completely dominant as he was both a pocket collapsing monster but also held the point of attack against the run. He had some injuries from 2004-2005 before turning in 3 more very good years from 2006-2008 and then injury cut his career short in 2009-2010 unfortunately. His son seems to be a different type of player more like a three tech quick hitter as opposed to a fast gigantic monster that his dad was. If the Bills draft him at 60 I would like the pick. Having two three techs that can really rush the passer is a good thing for the defense.

I think this class is so deep at WR the Bills most likely are best off waiting until pick 28 and seeing which WR's are there or IF Brian Thomas falls to 25-27 maybe make a small trade-up similar to Kincaid last year. The Bills have several picks in rounds 5-6 so giving up a pair of 5ths or a 4th to get a quality top 6 WR is a fairly small cost to pay. But other than a small 1-3 slot trade up for a really good player that slips a bit off the board I think the Bills are better off just as cliche as it sounds "letting the draft come to them". I also think the WR class is so insanely deep that if the Bills can get a good value trade down to the lower to mid-30's and maybe get a swap of picks or future 2025 selections then the Bills can get better value as well.

The problem I see is that the DT class seems stronger than the DE class especially if the Bills are drafting D-line at pick 60. I don't think at pick 60 there's likely to be a very strong DE prospect out on the market. Whereas DT seems like a deeper class and teams are less likely to take DT's high up. I am not sure if Sweat will fall to pick 60 but if he does he would be an easy pick for me. Solidifying the 1-tech spot for the next 4 years is a good use of a pick.

Shorter is a kick-the-tires type of talent in my opinion. He was a mid-round pick who has a really impressive physical profile. He's 6 foot 4 and runs a 4.55 40 time at 229 pounds. His RAS was a solid 7.92. I think asking him to compete for the WR 5-6 spot is reasonable. He also is projected to be able to play special teams which if he shows to be good at special teams may help him develop a niche as the Bills tend to like to have that WR5/6 spot have a special teams player (Sherfield this year, Kummerow the few years before that). With effectively a red-shirt year to learn the playbook, learn the system and work on somethings before he got on IR it will only prove to likely help him develop. Could the Bills draft a WR in rounds 3-5 as well as bring in a more established ST vet talent and have Shorter pushed off the roster? Very possible but I think they drafted Shorter for a reason and he will be given a legit shot to be in the WR room.

Mooney on the cheap (4-5 million) is a great target I think he would fill in for Harty well and a top 4 WR group of Diggs, Shakir, Mooney and a 1st round rookie with Shorter and another low end vet rounding out the top 6 is a good place to be. Justin Blackmon at safety also would be a nice lower mid level add. Had a great rookie year in 2020 and a great 2023. I think pairing him up with Poyer at safety and drafting a mid round safety to develop could help short and long term as Blackmon is only 26.

For once they don’t need to draft Oline early esp if Mitch is back for one more year I think they may need some mid round depth along the offensive line but no glaring holes for once. I suspect the Bills will go WR round 1 and defensive line round 2. Then pretty much BPA the rest of the way.

The Travel rating is low likely due to rookies having to share rooms at least that’s what others have said on here. If I were the Bills nutrition would be a big area where I would look to make changes

Certainly a possibility but also possible the Bengals take Coleman or another top WR, likely I think to get Thomas the Bills may have to trade up 2-3 spots but that should be doable without giving up too much.

I don't know if you know this but NFL players can do endorsements too... I get that NIL may give some of the top guys leverage to stay an extra year if they really don't want to go to the team that is likely going to draft them but that's not going to be a consistent situation. Especially given the fact that how violent football is and how volatile it is with injuries and performance I don't see it impacting much if anything. Even without NIL Eli Manning still moaned his way out of San Diego.

It's very Isaiah Thomas Knicks-era style of management. Thomas would trade expiring contracts for players with more years left on their deals which would have made sense had those players been better than the players whose contracts were expiring. But the players Thomas traded for were the same mediocre overpaid type of players he was trading away except the Knicks were now saddled with a player with more years on their contract. When pressed about this cycle on the radio Thomas said that it doesn't matter the Knicks are saddled with bad contracts because in a few years, those deals will be expiring contracts. I will give the Saints some "credit" in that after their 2020 last run with Drew their last three seasons aren't tragic (a pair of 9-8 seasons and a 7-10 season) but the issue is that rather than tank a year to get out from under their cap issues and maybe snag a QB in the top of the draft they just kept going with these short term shenanigans.

They just drafted a pass catching TE in round one last year and then turned around and got the best guard in the draft in round 2. Lots of criticism of McD to go around but they did course correct a lot in the 2023 off season in terms of draft investment on offense

Knox and Von are the teams only bad contracts and even though Knox is overpaid he still can be a productive player. Knox is a really good and flexible blocker and he is a very tough physical runner after the catch which helps set the tone of the offense. I also think Knox is not a bad receiver even despite his drops he’s just not a top 10 TE receiving wise. So while I think Knox is over paid he at least provides a solid level of production. I do hope that they use Knox as a fullback for 10 or so snaps a game and utilize his abilities to flex out and get more versatility out of the offense.

I would rather take on a 30/31 year old on a one-year rental whose been healthy to fill in a role than take on a younger player whose constantly hurt. I agree the Bills need a bit of a youth movement, particularly at D-line and safety but I also don't think you don't want to bring back productive vets on manageable contracts to "hold the fort" while you bring rookies up to speed.

He's a quality edge player, not a game changer but a good starter, with his 5th-year option I would hope the Bills pick it up and lock him in for 2 more seasons. Two more seasons of good production are nice to have at a critical position. I suspect the front office will approach the situation as they did with Ed Oliver, allow him to play out his 4th season, and assess his production and offer him a quality extension if he shows more progress in year four.

The Chiefs have been a combination of luckier and at times better. 2020- The Chiefs were just better, they were more battle-tested in the playoffs and a tougher team. 2021- The Chiefs were luckier got the coin flip. 2022- KC was better the Bills offensive line was just flawed among other issues. KC had the better team even if the Bengals were the team that knocked Buffalo out. 2023- KC was luckier by a large margin. KC got extremely lucky their division ***** the bed and they got to take week 18 off which got them a lot healthier for the playoffs. KC also got extremely lucky that Buffalo suffered a massive snow storm that gave them a 2 day rest advantage along with the Bills defense getting injured a lot in the playoffs. The Bills time will come they just need to keep building the team well and have it all come together. Tim Duncan said it best it takes a lot of luck to win a championship.

Not to mention about to be 31 years old and didn't have a great ending to his season. I still love Diggs but the Bills are for better or worse "Stuck" with him. Grab a WR in round 1 and round 3 along with a decent vet to replace Harty and give Shakir a bigger role, you can also kick the tires on Shorter. WR is going to need a lot of attention this off-season likely in the draft and in free agency.

It’s supposed to be a good WR class so if one of the top 6ish WR’s are there at 28 or a short trade up I say go there and then at pick 60 restock the defensive line with the best DT/DE there. The rest of the way just get the best talent

They will move on and take the dead cap hit unless Tre massively restructures his deal to take less money in exchange for a better shot to make the team or get “red shirted” at a lower salary than what his dead cap would be. I am not cap expert so I will have to defer to the many TBD cap scientists to see if it would actually be possible for Tre to redo his deal in that type of capacity or not?

WR is the primary need. Davis is likely gone and Diggs is older. Shakir is good but not much youth at the position. I think the top 4 picks will be WR, DL/S, WR and DL/S.
