  1. Woof, not good. Luckily the defense scored a bazillion times for the Fins. A couple of nice throws and some drops by WR's that weren't on him. But not a great debut for Tua. Maybe he settles down.
  2. If I told you in 2012 that the Bills would make the playoffs 2 out of 3 years and be 6-2 with a very good QB and a solid semblance of talent around the roster these fans would have taken that in a heartbeat. I get the frustrations with the run defense and the close games against mediocre to bad teams. But good teams in the NFL beat bad and mid-level teams. The Bills are a good team, maybe not a great team but a good one. This year is about Josh's development and trying to get the defense to be decent enough to give Josh a chance.
  3. Looked pretty good to the eye test. Not sure if the Pats D-line is that good or not but if you aren't going to maul a bad D-line then who are you going to maul? Honestly I feel confident in the O-line if they can get Ford back and replace Winters with Ike. I don't hate Winters but it is clear that he is a backup caliber player.
  4. Final Electoral Count will be Biden 334 Trump 204. Biden swings Arizona, Penn, Michigan, Wisconsin, Florida and NC. Trump takes the swing states of Ohio and Iowa and hold Georgia and Texas but he can't break the blue wall and loses AZ, NC and possibly Florida. Not buying Texas going Blue. It is possible that Texas goes blue but I have been hearing that the past few election cycles and each time it stays red by a fairly comfortable margin. I get that margins in Texas have been tightening each cycle but I don't see Texas turning blue just yet.
  5. Talent was never the issue with DK. Talent wise he was a freak athlete with enough football ability. But the issue was health. He has a long injury history particularly with back and neck injuries. So we will see if his health will hold up, because he is completely dynamic when he is on the field.
  6. I feel like this team throws more screens than the fans give them credit for.
  7. Basing it on his history of concussions and the fact that the team likely would want to be extra cautious with him. Considering the timing of the bye week sitting Mitch out the next two weeks would give him nearly a month while only missing 2 games. Now granted this is without knowing the severity of the concussion. A mild concussion might only require a week off? I also am basing this off of the concussion he got last year in camp where they seemed to shut him down for a month.
  8. Yesterday's offense did concern me in the first half. They put up 7 when they easily should have had 7-10 more and put the Pats down at least 2 scores. The turnover cost a chance at 3 and put the defense in bad field position where they coughed up a field goal. The defense played well in the first half actually owning the Pats for the most part. The offense couldn't get those extra scores. Then the script flipped in the second half. The offense put up 17 points whereas the defense gave up 15 and needed a turnover to not have the game tied or possibly give up 21 and lose the game. I think this team has to learn to play complementary football. Too often has one side of the ball stalled while the other has played great. It has been very rare that both sides of the ball are playing well at the same time.
  9. 5 or so games in 2011.
  10. And gets them closer to the bye, this team is really hurting for a bye, seems everyone is banged up. Hopefully the trade deadline gets the Bills a trade for a one tech.
  11. People forget that the run defense last year got derailed from weeks 7 to 11. The freaking Redskins ran over this team. The rush defense looked solid weeks 1 to 5 but then Harry got hurt (and still hasn't recovered) and Milano was banged up after the Titans game. But they got Milano back healthy, signed Lugiet and got Star going. Overall they had issues with the run last year but because the team finished strong in that respect it got swept under the rug
  12. All wins count equally, you have to take care of the teams you are supposed to beat and then pick off some of the games you aren't favored in. I fully agree that the Bills need that signature win against a likely playoff opponent. But while you are looking for that win you have to take care of business against lesser teams so that you can make the playoffs.
  13. Both weeks were important, you not only need division wins but you also need to get fat against bad opponents. This is a tough two game stretch and you needed to go into this stretch 6-2.
  14. 2008 was a mirage on a lot of levels. This year this team will likely still win 10 or 11 games. This team has issues that even adding a true one tech won't solve. But this is still a good team, just maybe not the contenders some like myself thought.
  15. The Bills from 2017 to 2018 were selling off veteran parts for draft capital and made a big trade up for Josh. They were eating massive dead cap both years to put the team in a position to properly build a team around a young QB. So yes 25-23 isn't lighting the world on fire but given the context of team building and where the teM was at its a pretty strong resume.
  16. Going to have to put up 30+ to win. That's just how you have to beat the Seahawks. They are too good offensively. Much like the Chiefs you just have to how your defense can get a key turnover or stop them just enough and hope your offense can put up a big number. Either way this should be a fun game. Bills are still in a decent spot if they lose but it would be nice to see them get that so called signature win
  17. There is unlikely to be 2 trades. The Bills would be lucky to get 1 trade let alone 2-3. The NFL trade deadline is not where you solve wholesale roster needs but rather add that piece you need. The Bills could solve some defensive issues by trading for a true one tech. That's the trade the team needs to make.
  18. Honestly it's been a big blob of disappointment. The lack of a one tech DT has made the DT position a mess, the DE's have been ok but still lacking in the pass rush, Edumonds and Milano are hurt and getting killed by the lack of a true one tech. The secondary hasn't been bad but they have had big struggles on third down. Overall there are a multitude of issues with the defense. Some can hopefully be fixed with a trade for a one tech. But others are likely to remain issues.
  19. Also the Bills have a franchise QB for the first time since the 1990's. McD and Beane have made mistakes but to not act like they haven't been successful is silly.
  20. I think the Ravens organization is good enough to change his style of play and work with him to develop into a more well rounded QB. He does need more help at WR but that's not the only thing holding him back.
  21. I do worry that because he is on such a big contract that he pushes himself to play more. I trust him and his doctors to make that decision but we aren't likely to see him until after the bye at the earliest. Then again when Josh was concussed after the first Pats game last year I thought he would miss a game and he didn't. So maybe there is an outside shot we see him sooner.
  22. The sentiment for a lot seems to be that both the Cardinals and 49ers games are going to be losses. I don't know why that's the case. I look at those games as toss ups I think they win one and lose the other.
  23. Vick had a bad work ethic, he never developed his game when he was young, Andy Reid got a hold of him and he had his best year before getting hurt. But Lamar has a good head on his shoulders and works hard. I don't know if Lamar will develop or not but I think he has a chance to develop into a better more consistent passer.
  24. I don't even know why people are so pessimistic about the 49ers game. Seems like a 50/50 type game. The 49ers this season aren't very good
  25. The Bills are hungry for a bye. Hopefully the Bills can split the next two games and go 7-3 into that bye. This it just seems like the Bills are more banged up than they were in other years. Milano and Edumonds were hurt week 1 and both have missed time and regressed. Mongo started the year hurt, John Brown has been banged up, Tre got banged up and missed a week, Levi and Hyde are banged up. Ford is banged up. Now Mitch is likely missing at least a few weeks. It seems like each week guys are getting hurt consistently. I think this week about half way in would have been a good time for a bye week but 2 weeks down a week off might be what hopefully gets the team going.
