  1. see below we are quick to make excuses for things that are inexcusable. having williams as a backup when he had no business on that field was inexcusable. he is not fit for a backup. klein is on the ps, and kirksey retired. both would have been better. we know their floor and it was higher than what williams offered. the coverage schemes matching up elam to get burned constantly almost seemed like the coaches hate him. hyde is great and haad good leverage against ridley several times. he got beat, though. we could have done more to change the pressures which were not working to offer more coverage. several things are getting forgotten and forgiven that fall on mcdermotts plate. including letting dorsey call a ***** hitch and pitch with several seconds on the clock?!?! that ***** was middle school. if mcdermott didn't know that play was going in than he needs to be fired. if mcdermott let it go in to be run he needs to be fired. that play call was inexcusable.
  2. i do not give you any credit on the answer. so i ask like anyone else.... where did the defense have short comings? there were plenty that no one has brought up, even myself.
  3. which is why it was ridiculous we went in with von miller out. we went in with 2 adequate DE's and a backup, and a recovering injured Miler. it'd have made more sense to hold off on miller and brought up ??anyone else.
  4. they kept sending him in ears pinned back, unfortunately. it takes a bigger toll for him to run block, gap protect, or set the edge but we limited his effectiveness by design of the play and scheme. if we dropped more into coverage without rushing 5/6 he may not have had to fight so hard all the time.
  5. did you see or notice anything was wrong with the defense or see flaws in any part of that 1/3?
  6. ----------------------- all of you need to make an argument and statements about the defense without mentioning the offense. everyone keeps playing the game... "yeah but the offense..." and it needs to be a nonstarter of the conversation. the defense had a lot of problems in play, execution, schemes, and coaching. i can leverage some argument on injury but this staff wasn't prepared for that when they must be considering we have some old ass players. so please, try again to address the topic of mcdermotts defense without a red herring or obfuscating the offensive liability.
  7. the biggest issue i have is his gameplan and scheme sucked. completely sucked. even before being down players the defense didn't show potential to stop lawrence. then we kept making the mistake of rushing the passer instead of dropping for coverage. no. he doesn't get a pass and should have been fired after 13 seconds.
  8. first off, and it's been said a bunch so repeating it is getting old... stop blitzing/rushing 5/6 when we are not getting to him or causing him any problems. we sacked him several times and it didn't matter. we needed help in the secondary and we didn't give it. for christs sake, hyde was covering ridley 1-1. sure hyde played well, but that shouldn't be the case our gameplan against them was pure garbage. and while there were many areas of concern the fact is we did not adapt, we did not look to change, and we did not come prepared to begin with - the biggest case in point is having von play just 20 snaps against a high octane offense on turf. we don't need to risk his injury just to get him reps in game time. that turf was terrible. we should have elevated anoku when atlanta poached him. i only hope we can get him back in 2 or 3 weeks when they hopefully release him. leaving elam on single coverage and getting him off the wr, specifically ridley, was a terrible call. let him press. have him get help in a zone press coverage scheme while he mans up on ridley. no one else was a threat yesterday.
  9. i didn't know you follow me on onlyfans
  10. 1) diggs is a player who will be in the league 5-6 more years at the least because he is a smart technical player vs. a player who gets pounded (edelman, beas), or a pure speed guy (assault hill). 2) kincaid is not a core player. 3) cook is not a core player. he's a jag. sorry not sorry
  11. i wore the same shirt i wore last week - a shirt from like '93, a planet hollywood LA shirt - instead of my 90's bill shirt i wear unwashed until we lose. i thought i'd keep the good luck. i did change it in the 3rd which got us moving a little bit then we sucked so i went shirtless.
  12. the jags hit of allen on bills allen was ticky tacky as can be, tho we have heard a lot about players jet lagged... we need a thread that the refs were jet lagged.
  13. i don't get why we pitch count miller on turf when rosseau is out. glad others showed up on DL. but knowing this it would have been nice to have kept eli enoku instead of activating miller to the 53.
  14. even with those starters our gameplan against a lesser team was pure poop. we did not do anything specific to their team to stop them and had a lousy performance in strategy and football without regard to players.
  15. that'd be the nail in the coffin for poyer. his body can't take it anymore. he's rocky V when we need him to be rocky IV.
  16. we need to hit the drawing board to find a way to involve Rapp a whole lot more, even if that means taking Poyer off the field.
  17. how's your first day to day two? to me they are easier than the 3rd and 4th day. at least going east coming back west with less than an 8 hour shift is a pain in the ass.
  18. when was the last time the media asked a team that? have you heard about gronk getting to practice facility at like 2 am to get IV's at 5 or 6 am to make practice sober? or countless other athletes just staying up and partying a lot?
  19. i'm not. westie did.
  20. oh i hear ya, but 5 hours ahead of time is nothing. you get there and maybe take a small nap then go ahead and stay up all day. these guys, a lot of them, by their social media presence stay up until after midnight many nights and sleep in until 10ish.
  21. lol no. i'm not a professional athlete trained to be elite in body and mind. i'm just a business analyst. but, yes they were obviously jet lagged when EVERY SINGLE PLAYER SAID IT WAS NOT A FACTOR AND THEY WERE RESTED.
  22. he was benched for a little bit. then put in situationally. he didn't look bad. he just didn't look good. a 3rd round draft pick out of a lesser tier program isn't going to contribute immediately. he has the opportunity on his plate and the hits and misses were key. the PBU he had was him still lost. he didn't look in control of where he was or knowing where to be - clearly playing on instincts with a game too fast for him. many here saw something in Milano that we knew he would pan out. i wish i could credit the others all-in on him besides myself.
  23. jet lag wasn't an issue. not one player said it was a factor when asked. maybe lack of preparation, focus, and organization related to travel but even then, i doubt it based on players. i've made the trip to europe. going there it's not that bad. not the first two days. if anything it is the 3rd to 4th day you might be a little off. everyone saying it is a big factor in their experience, i have no idea what you're talking about... no one i work with does either and we are a european company. coming back is worse.
  24. that's the only thing we can say about his effect yesterday. i agree with the decision to pull him on that turf, even though it was a pitch count situation. i disagree that he should have even been playing if it was going to be a pitch count knowing we were on that surface to begin with
