Barkley is off the list because of his Pro Day. It is scripted for God sake how can you not excell?

I've stated my position on drafting a QB so many times that you all know I think they have to take one at 8. I think it is possible that three will go in the top ten. So if I'm the Bills I rank the top three and pick which ever is there when they pick. My top three in order are as follows: E J Manuel Ryan Nassib Geno Smith My reasoning on Manuel is that he has excelled at every opportunity, the Senior Bowl, the Combine and his Pro Day.

I'm getting tired of writting this, not drafting any QBs in the first three rounds for the last three years is what got them here. Now they don't have the luxury of waiting until the second or third round. There are too many variables in the wait until next year scenario.

Nix did not have the luxury of passing on QBs like Kaepernick, Dalton, Wilson or Cousins. It was idiotic. Even the Patriots have a better back up plan for Brady than Nix had for Fitzpatrick for God's sake!

There are no guarantees with the draft. What player available at 8 is a sure Hall of Famer? The only sort of QB on the roster that took a snap last year is Brad Smith. Have you seen him throw a football? Prior to the rookie salary structure if you drafted a QB in the top ten and you were wrong, you were screwed for the next five years. It doesn't work that way anymore. Nix's inability to draft a QB and going all in with Fitz has put us in this position. They need to draft QBs in the first round until they get it right.

Since you have watched Manuel's entire career could you read the scouting report from Walter's and express an opinion on the report?

I'm with right up until the last sentence. They don't have even a second string QB on the roster. They have to take a QB at 8. You are right it is Buddy's fault that they have no other option. It is unbelievably stupid that he had no plan B if Fitz wasn't the guy.

I think the top three QBs in this draft are Smith, Barkley and Manuel. Now go read the scouting reports at Walters on each. Smith is compared to McNabb, and "sulks on sidelines" Barkley, not mobile but not a statue. Biggest knock is he is a USC QB. They don't list his strengths and weaknesses like the do for Smith and Manuel. Manuel, makes bad decisions, panics, will run first when presurred. I don't know, but makes me like Manuel and Barkley more than Smith.

I don't have a great deal of confidence in Buddy, but I don't think Fitz's contract was a disaster. The disaster was that there was no plan B. How do you go three years with out drafting a QB with a high to mid round pick.
