  1. It would take some doing to get back to 1970s, NYC was F-ed up. I still loved it, don’t want to live there anymore, but I loved it. I left Buffalo to go to college in early 70s, went back for holidays and summer. I couldn’t have considered moving back permanently, because there was zero opportunity, it was a city on the decline, The St. Lawrence Seaway made Buffalo superfluous. I still have family there, I still go back and visit. It is heartening to see what is going on there. It took 50 years, but it seems like it’s on the comeback. Go Bills Hah, sorry I thought you asked where I lived in NYC. I left in 1989.
  2. In the 70s I lived on W68th, then on E51st. In the 1980s I lived on Henry St. In Brooklyn Heights (my favorite place), then on E22nd and Broadway. By the way, I went to Bills, Jets Games at Shea. It was worse that the Old Rock Pile, where I went to a lot of games.
  3. I lived in NYC in the 70s and 80s, it was a mess. But I didn’t know any better, I just thought that’s how big cities are. The politicians were corrupt, the police were corrupt. That was fifty years ago. Now New York, is one of the safest cities in the US. I’m an old guy too, I don’t believe in the good old days. For the last 30 plus years, I’ve lived in Delray Beach Fl. A great place, which is a little surf town at heart. Starting around 2010 we became the rehab capital of the country, it was sad and horrible. Politics didn’t cause it, the opioid crisis did, which was caused by pharmaceutical companies. We all need to pay better attention, listen to each other, be civil to one another. Not everything is some conspiracy, not everything is political.
  4. Yeah, but it was a sharp putty knife.
  5. Brooklyn Heights, which is a really nice neighborhood. I was about 50 feet from my apartment.
  6. Buffalo homicide rate is 9.7% per 100,000 people, San Francisco is 6.3% per 100,000, according to USA Facts. US News and World Report, according to FBI statistics, ranks San Francisco 20th for most dangerous US Cities. I got mugged years ago, two guys, one had a knife to my throat. I made a business decision that my life was worth more than the money in my pocket and my watch. Any questions?
  7. I think that assessment of the Bills is pretty accurate, but I don’t understand the Jets and Dolphins. The Jets season is predicted on Rogers, he is 40 years old coming off a serious injury and really hasn’t played football in a year and a half. As for the Dolphins Tua is Tua, the longer he is around, the more DCs will learn his limitations. The Dolphins defense is going to be worse. That offensive “juggernaut” they had last season, mostly against bad teams, is unlikely to be repeated.
  8. I understand how you feel and I felt the same way, until I ran into to them in Orlando, those two are both dogs man! A Simpson vs Griffin matchup is interesting, but that’s what people thought about Duran vs Leonard, but I can hear Homer saying “no mas no mas!”
  9. Great, so who do you think would win in a fight Goofy or Pluto?
  10. Au contraire, being a Dolphin would give me the opportunity to see if I could kick McDermott’s ass twice a year.
  11. Let me get this straight, this is a discussion about whether or not grown adults think they could beat up another grown adult. Setting aside the incredible improbability of the event, aren’t discussions like this best left to twelve year olds?
  12. Yes, skidded to a stop after losing a dribble.
  13. Tannehill was a WR until his junior year don’t you know. But he didn’t gp to Harvard and Karl Malone is not his father.
  14. Waived/injured WR Lawrence Keys III
  15. Low bar
  16. Yeah, I get that. The “we” wasn’t the Bills, it was referring to us, the fans, the posters. “We” fall in love with a guy who had great potential, usually a WR, who fails.
  17. Don’t we do this with some guy every couple of years?
  18. Remember Kyle Boller? First round pick of the Ravens 2003, he could throw a football 70 yards on both knees and he sucked.
  19. There is a rule change this year where they can designate two players to return to the 53, “they are designated to return during the roster cutdown to 53 players after training camp. Teams can designate up to two such players to return.”
  20. Even if he goes on IR, Bishop could be back by October. Of course it depends on the injury.
  21. Yeah, my guess is Bishop heading to IR.
  22. Hearing from family member that knows Bishop’s HS coach that he is going to be out 6-8 weeks, shoulder injury.
  23. WTF was that?
  24. Right up until the starter gets injured.
  25. Didn’t he do the same thing in Minnesota? Isn’t that how he came to Buffalo?
