Mayo’s experience as a coach is four years as an inside linebacker coach. If Mayo learned anything from his mentor Belichick, he won’t start any of those rookies. He certainly won’t start five of them, maybe one starts. You’re right about one thing, Drake Maye is not C. J. Stroud. Patriots will be lucky to win four games.

Fair enough, but I think you’re discounting Samuel. He is the most interesting WR signing, the only legitimate QB he ever played with is Newton at the end of his career, others were Kyle Allen, Taylor Heinicke and Sam Howell. He has been on bad teams with bad QBs.

Diggs was mediocre to downright invisible in multiple games for two seasons, he was a cancer in the locker room. He did the same thing in Minnesota. Diggs had to go. It’s not so easy to go out and get a veteran WR1.

You have to pick somebody, once a few QBs are taken what’s next? Depends on the talent that year.

The thing that I don’t understand is, after Corey Stringer died of heat exhaustion the league put in all kinds of rules to protect players. Then they allow the Dolphins to broil their opponents. There should be shade and AC on both sides of that field. I’ve been to games there in November sitting in the sun and thought I was going to pass out and all I’m doing is sitting there.

It will still be disgustingly hot and humid down here, but it takes shady side vs sunny side out of the equation.

The Bills WRs were mediocre from about the middle of the 2022 season, including Diggs. I’ve said this before, there were games that I wondered out loud if we actually had any WRs. Watching on television makes it impossible to see what is going on down field, WRs seemed to disappear. That group needed to be blown up. Now there are some young guys, some vets, some guys that were in bad situations on bad teams. Who knows who might become available over the summer. Let’s relax and see what happens.
