9/7/25 Other games chat (Around the League)

But Vrabel will make the Patriots competitive, McDaniel is a genius and the Jets have a great defense.. -
Are you sure George wasn’t 102? I saw it on Facebook, I think. Said he broke his hip in mid kick and then passed away from pneumonia. We call that the Florida Trifecta.
-
Apparently it’s also a great way to get a 165 lbs. WR killed. Granted he ran into his own man. Worthy has a dislocated shoulder and may be able to return at some point this season with braced up shoulder.
-
That’s probably right, but Hampton was get nothing. Why pay Harris $9.5m and not use him?
-
Yeah, I went back and watched, hard to tell who did what. They should be like a yard apart shouldn’t they?
-
Ironic that I used the wrong “there”. The jury is still out out on Worthy, the same as it is with Coleman. I believe Worthy had three deep receptions, including the one in the Super Bowl. His average was like 10 yards, but that number is probably skewed by gadget plays. “ Stinks” was probably a bit harsh. I have a hard time with how easy Worthy is brought down. That being said, I’m a bit testy, because I want the Bills to beat the Ravens.

Sorry about the misspelling, won’t let it happen again. To reiterate, I wrote “ ran the route wrong”, not “ran the wrong route”, those two phrases mean distinctly different things. I am reluctant to point out the misuse of punctuation. One could spend all their time on this site correcting grammatical and spelling mistakes. Worthy was drafted to be a deep threat, has he been that? Hasn’t he been used mostly as a gadget player? I also can’t recall any player ever as susceptible to one handed tackles. Maybe last night’s one play was an aberration, perhaps Worthy will become the player that he was drafted to be, but I have my reservations.
-
I wrote “ ran the route wrong”, not “ he sucks, he ran the wrong route”. My understanding of that play is to pick the defender not your teammate.
-
So the play is designed for them to run into each other? Maybe it’s just me, but I think someone made a mistake.
-
Who do you think ran the route wrong, Worthy or Kelsey?
-
Not overreacting, just telling you what I saw. Chiefs looked pretty pedestrian last night as they did in the Super Bowl. It was a good game plane, two slot receiver formations get defense thinking run, but they consistently threw out of it. Chargers were struggling running the ball, not using Harris was head scratching.
-
What we learned last night, Chief’s secondary still isn’t good, neither is there OL. Worthy still stinks, why was he running a crosser? Kelsey I believe only had two catches, one was broken coverage. Chris Jones failure to contain on Herbert’s last run for a first down was idiotic, he made a move inside going for the sack stat, rather than doing his job. If Mahomes keeps try to be a hero by showing how tuff he is, he won’t last the season.

What’s your favorite Bills opening day game?
chris heff replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
It is definitely beating the Dolphins in 1980. -
I’ve always wondered about a pitch to the RB.
-
I don’t understand, is it illegal to snap the ball to a running back if the QB is under center? But if you squib it on the ground it’s okay?
-
Putting the ball on the ground is dangerous, not sure that would work in the NFL, but there has to be a version of the fake that would work.
