My father in law is a really great guy who has a lot of really great sayings. I'd like to think that they are all his, but I'm sure he collected many of them throughout his life. One of my favorites is: "all statements are read at their highest threat level." I try to keep that in mind when I'm posting here, or writing emails, etc.

Targeting rule coming

My idea is each team gets 2 penalty challenges per season. Win them both, get a third. Each playoff team gets one for the playoffs (no rollover from season). Each super bowl team gets one (no rollover from playoffs). I will also propose that these penalty challenges would not be added to your already existing 2 per game. A coach would designate at the time of the challenge that it was a penalty challenge.

I'm going to be at the Meadowlands for Seattle-Jets. My son is a seahawks fan and his birthday is next week. So I'll be watching the scoreboard.

The place always looks smaller in person than it does on TV. I am constantly self-suckered into seats in rows with lower numbers. Year after year I get to my seats and think about how I'd have been cool with "worse" seats than what I got. The place has great sight lines... no matter where you are.

He was dumping on Doug Flutie's son once during a game Doug was playing in (the boy was seated with Doug's wife in a crowd shot). Doug's son has autism... Paul McGuire stepped on Joe's line of commentary and told the audience about their son, and what the Fluties do for kids with autism. Joe awkwardly tried to cover his tracks and did a poor job of it.

I think he's spending some time alone on that mattress in his sport coat and turtle neck.

They casually glossed over week 2

Bills fans would see him out with lots of boos and lots of booze. Then, emboldened with our hatred of the king cheetah, Bills fans would start fighting each other.

I think my disengagement is less about the Bills and more about the entire NFL experience. It's so damn big. The fantasy aspect is something I am not interested in at all. The players seem to be either thugs or divas, or some strange blend of these personalities.

I hate the pats* as much as anyone here... but the dudes firing the muskets are awesome. Our mascot is a cross-eyed doofus. It's embarrassing.
