Every new coach and GM wants to build the team to their liking though. Been that way for a long time. I know the futility of the 21st century as well, been a fan through the whole drought but that's not Beane and McDermotts fault. It's going to be a bad year nothing is going to help that because they aren't going to, and can't spend big to salvage the season. Personally I'm looking at the positives this year, not that there have been many, to continue to build on next year. It proves they can coach a half decent team to the playoffs. The Bills aren't a half decent team this year.

It's been 3 games and Allen hasn't won a Superbowl. Someone needs to be fired for this NOW.

Wonder how the right Josh would do on this team? I think this is the plan all along. I don't think they intend to get the first pick and weather they spend the money wisely is yet to be seen. I personally have faith in this regime and Allen. Not going to declare it one way or the other but plating the building in gold one week and burning it down the next is what makes these boards special.

Very true, bit early to get ahead of ourselves, but you never know. Hopefully Allen continues his upward momentum or at least doesn't go backwards.

I think Sammy Watkins was the last that had #1 receiver talent but seemed to be injured a lot, Stevie consistently put up the numbers but when I think Stevie I think playoff chance ending drop in the end zone but I think for me Lee Evans maybe but Eric Moulds definately.

I don't think anyone is mistaking Benjamin for a #1 WR.

Nice write up. He seems to be learning from his mistakes so far, so that is a big positive. Still some mistakes like statue of liberty fumble but that's expected for a 6 quarter old QB. like many have said, while smearing your balls over linebackers helmets is great to see it's definately ill advised.

Given the Bills have 9 million in cap space, they couldn't pay Macks $23.5m per year without back loading the contract heavily.

Mahomes is brilliant but it will be tough to sustain this hot start. Josh is looking good but still has a lot to learn and Tre is looking like a shutdown corner. Happy with Josh and Tre.

I can think of quite a few that made these Allen is a bust posts as if it was nothing but a fact. It's doubtful and he still might be but to be so obnoxiously stern about it makes you look pretty stupid if it goes the other way.

That cliff is getting closer for sure. It's still early though.
