  1. Yep. Not saying it doesn't go both ways, I'll admit I'm a fan of Allen, but it's his first season so it will be a bit premature to declare either QB one way or the other. I think they'll both be good, but they could both be bad, the NFL works in mysterious ways. It is too early to tell but the one thing I can say is Allen is easily the most talented player on offence.
  2. Smarter to gather some facts rather than coming out and declaring bust or pro bowl in a rookie season. Some went really hard on the wrong Josh thing, they have disappeared or changed their name. edit: I think both will be good in the years ahead.
  3. But only if it's Allen. Balls can pass through WRs hands or off their chest but that's on Allen too. You make some fair points but the bias always seems to shine through. He is a raw rookie, what exactly are you expecting?
  4. For being the most hurried passer in the NFL I think he's doing ok. I've seen how poorly Tom Brady can play when he is hurried. You see how poorly Russell Wilson can throw when he has the defence bearing down on him. I've watched many QBs in my time as have all of you. You see a lot of self preservation first or stat preservation first Allen seems focused on the win no matter how he gets there. He won't ever be a captain checkdown and that's just fine with me.
  5. Mayfield is definitely the best of the bunch, but he and Jackson have far more talent around them than the other 3. A question to re-visit about this time next year for sure.
  6. I feel the same way, there has been good and bad but now they have the money and draft picks to make a significant playoff push next year with their personnel. Lets see if they can pull it off.
  7. Doug Pederman didn't put the Eagles through a rebuild because he had so many players in place. Your posts are 99% assumptions, you have no idea what Beane is thinking so you're just making stuff up. Cutting players that aren't playing up to their contracts and taking a dead cap hit of nearly 60m isn't going to lead to a team that can sufficiently compete this season. It's also something you can't sneak past the GM and owner so McDermott didn't do this all on his own. They all chose to rebuild this way so making up crap like he's auditioning for interim head coaches, on the hot seat and looking to cut his losses is f-ing ridiculous.
  8. I think he is a good coach, today however, I think the game plan was poor and that it was poorly executed. todays loss was on everybody.
  9. Lots of Bills footage mixed in here. when i was a teen i must have watched this about 1000 times. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=poToAvbk3hw gets the nostalgia flowing.
  10. And the run when he had an easy dump off to shady, those are definitely plays he needs to learn from but i feel a sense of refreshment of how much easier it has been to move the ball and sustain drives of late. One play this year of TT's was during the first Browns game this year, it was 3rd and 22 and TT threw to the LOS for a 1yd pass. it just seemed so familiar.
  11. I like that JA is always looking at/past the first down marker as opposed TT who always seemed to be looking to pass to the line of scrimmage and relying on YAC. I know that's probably an exaggeration for TT but I remember a lot of that.
  12. Guaranteed to only play part of the season though due to that foot. 3/4 in this year's case.
  13. It's funny I had a read of the Jets page and it's the exact opposite. The question was would you rather have Darnold or Allen and two second rounders. Apparently you couldn't give a couple of them enough second rounders to take Allen. Just keep scrolling till you find a topic that you find interesting.
  14. Only throws 55% and you can't fix accuracy apparently, so I guess he'll suck forever.
  15. I'm in the wait till the end of next year camp, having said that, I'm optimistic and definitely hoping he succeeds. I know internet brownie points and being able to say you're right is a big thing these days but making these bust and MVP declarations seem over the top to me. You don't have to go one way or the other. You can wait to gather the evidence first.
  16. Clearly these guys don't read or take the TBD experts opinions on board. Apparently Josh Allen has made no progress... Accuracy... Blah blah blah.
  17. Should give you an open roster spot so you can show him how you would throw that ball 50 yards on the move.
  18. And I agree with you but at the moment that pocket seems to get pretty full pretty quickly. It's not all Allen's fault and it's not all the OL fault.
  19. First down is a first down and a rushing TD is worth as many points as a passing TD.
