  1. True on Maybin. He also passed on Gronk (because of back concerns) and picked Troup--who quickly washed out....due to back issues. He hired Gailey and Marrone. Between 2010-13 (Nix GM years, the Bills won 16 games and lost 32. Not sure what you were watching. in 2014 they got up to 9 wins and wouldn't win that many again for another 3 years. Their Offense was 25th, 14th, 19th Defense was 24, 26, 22. The Levy/Jauron combo was good for 3 seasons of 7-9 football......
  2. He was a laughing stock. His 1st round picks were Maybin, Spiller, Dareus, Gilmore and EJM. He hit on Robert Woods and Gilmore. He passed on Russ Wilson ("too small") as well as Cousins, famously taking TJ Graham instead. The drafts from 2011-13 are a real treat to revisit. In points allowed, those years were 30th, 26th, 20th. They had 1 top 5 D between 2009 to 2017.
  3. i would prefer the punter who has the fewest attempts/stats.
  4. The Buddy Whaley comedy duo: we can look back on now and chuckle...
  5. They didn't collapse in those 13 seconds because of a lack of talent on the roster....
  6. Independent review confirms Hue Jackson was the worst NFL HC in its history: https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/33845174/tanking-allegations-made-ex-cleveland-browns-coach-hue-jackson-substantiated-independent-review-shows
  7. I've posted on the fallacy of Haack as the worst punter in the NFL..and that Punter was a strong need for this team. With this Offense (and Defense) the Punter, great or actually awful, not move the needle on the season outcome even a tiny bit. It's something posters here have convinced themselves of and it's in part because of the online hype of this rookie. For the cost of a 6th rounder, it's easy for me to conceive of Beane saying , hey, why not? The kid is already a local phenomenon. Pretty simple.
  8. It's nice they allowed the Uber Eats drivers to join in...
  9. Clemson wasn't paying him (as much)
  10. It was a nod to the fans. very popular predraft character.
  11. first standing ovation in that building in 10 years
  12. If Diggs goes down, Knox and Howard aren't going to make that up. Maybe a Kelce and Waller combo....
  13. He scored 42 of the team's 56 TDs. He's the second best rusher win the team---posting a career high in attempts and yards last season. Particularly in the last playoffs, he absolutely carries the Offense. Drafting another guy today would be a decent play. Crowder is nothing special. Davis needs more looks. Josh really trusts what he's seeing in the incredibly athletic Davis. Crowder ain't gonna get those looks.
  14. Miller a massive get for sure. Lawson is a decent retread, Phillips maybe not so much at this point. Crowder will be a #3 WR. I don't think the point of this thread is to cry over over the Jets draft. They got what appear to be great rookies with their picks. Every poster here would love those first 4 picks on the Bills roster right now--each one would get significant playing time this year.
  15. He's not going to "progress and grow" getting 60 targets a year. His productivity is nuts: 2 seasons, 17.1 and 15.6 YPC, 7 and 6 TDs. They brought in a "#2" last year and he wasn't as productive and now he's gone. Now they've brought in another aging, low production journeyman in Crowder. Davis is the legit #2 on this team.
  16. We didn't need another Punter thread..
  17. If he play this tail off, he'll be under 200lbs.
  18. Yeah, really. He's lying. This was well reported months ago. For instance:https://www.si.com/extra-mustard/2022/03/18/aaron-rodgers-catching-heat-davante-adams-trade-packers-raiders Also: Ian Rapoport @RapSheet · Mar 17 While Aaron Rodgers was negotating his contract, he knew Davante Adams would never play for the #Packers again. The situation was too far gone. Something had to give. And when Adams informed GB he wasn’t playing on the tag, talks got fired up. Now, Adams will be on the #Raiders. twitter.com/RapSheet/statu…
