  1. You edited that in an hour after I replied. My reply wasn't snark. EVERYONE familiar with tennis understands what "winning a major means". Well....almost everyone. continue on your higher plane of understanding......
  2. If you had actually said that previously, we wouldn't still be talking about how many "majors" she "won" (your words). But it also would not have been a meaningful rebuttal to the guy who said she won't (actual) win one.
  3. no it was just me asking you back up your response to the other guy. He didn't say she was average (he said her strokes were), nor did I. She's the #1 ranked US woman. You attacking another straw man. His point was clear; he didn't feel Shen could win a major tournament---meaning, actually winning it. The whole tournament, not some matches. The rest is all projection. You're looking for a slight against Pegula when I was just questioning your dubious claim.
  4. can you frame that in a new thread? probably can throw in Pittsburgh also in about 6 weeks....
  5. There's no twist--just a simple question. A guy said she hasn't the weapons to win a major. You then answered him with "She has the second most major victories on the women’s tour this year." So I asked which majors she has won this year to be #2 in that tally. Your answer was unresponsive. Where did I lose you?
  6. He will anyway, under his current cotract.
  7. which majors has she won?
  8. i was just going to get that off my chest as well
  9. 30 yards traveled though.....
  10. now we're burning crosses?
  11. More than half the population of the county lives in Chicago. The folks in northern Cook County and parts west may check out the complex in the off season, but not sure what the big draw would be. A concert here and there. Chain restaurants? A movie theater? Plus it would need massive public funding. If the team is paying for the stadium, it's hard to imagine what incentive the County or state would have to pitch in for this speculative complex.
  12. I. Did. Not. Hit.....that wide open receiver
  13. Adams the best route runner in the league. Evans may not be the best WR on his team.
  14. Phoenix isn't Chicago. Chicago is the entertainment district of Chicago. If they put the Staples Center in Whittier, no one is going there for entertainment on non NFL game days. I guess initially, the folks who live near that Arlington complex would check it out. After that, it's not going to be a draw for people far and wide.
  15. So you're saying there's still a chance....
  16. Kupp in there. Evans out.
  17. I was there in April.
  18. They trademarked the letter "B"?
  19. The PFT article in OP suggests they don't own the trademark yet.
  20. True but my point was that all that Rodgers drama amounted to BS--it was just about money.
