  1. There's no chance that Frank had no choice with Wentz, Ryan....
  2. Oh that's right forgot all about the "SB Champs"! So it's Darnold and Walker.
  3. they found over 2000 who could write their own signature??
  4. His QBs in CArolina are Mayfield and Darnold. Plus, he was the HC when those "washed up QB" decisions were made---one after another.
  5. He wasn't effective Sunday.
  6. Hackett didn't call plays in GB, LaFleur did/does.
  7. I don't' consider it "stooping", but they definitely exploited the situation. I was along the lines of a "great human interest story". If they were focusing too much on Hamlin, it was absolutely McD's job to refocus them. I just don't think that, by the time the Bengals game rolled around, they were really worrying about Hamlin anymore. I think they just weren't well prepared in a gameplan sense.
  8. I like that Mel has Jerry Jones taking Bijan Robinson in the 1st. lol
  9. how will the Jets afford both Rodgers AND Dak??
  10. can he coach?
  11. He didn't die after all. In fact they (and we) reacted with joy a week later when he was waving from his hospital bed. After this, they came out and scored 79 points vs NE and then Miami (playoff game). The they bombed vs Bengals. The Bills and the NFL did NOT use Hamlin to motivate the team??? The absolutely did---to a fault. They definitely exploited this situation to hype the game. It's all that was talked about all week. They showed his parents being hustled into the suite before kickoff. They had the kid in a Bills golfcart riding into the stadium on camera. They cut to him on the jumbotron in the suite all masked up. They were simply unprepared for the game that the Bengals brought and made no apparent in game adjustments to counter it.
  12. As a HC, Payton is Mike McCarthy
  13. Sabres are 2 games over .500
  14. In more than one thread, posters have commented on the Bills being "emotionally exhausted" over the Hamlin injury in particular. But how could they not be? Before they knew he was OK, everyone sweated it out, appropriately so---it had to eat at them. But once he was extubated and communicative, it was a huge relief. However, the joy at his apparent miraculous recovery became a packaged thing, with signs and millions of twitter and other social media posts. There was even gear/merchandise for sale. From before the Miami game until kickoff Sunday, these guys were bombarded with Hamlin questions, talking points etc. I get why that is; the NFL was going to milk this human interest story for every drop of sweet sugar--they don't get many "very good stories" to pump up. But there's no other way to describe it other than as a media circus. The Bills players were surrounded by it, bathed in it continuously. And it is very clear that McD could not get them back on point. They gave no indication Sunday that they were in any way prepared to play the Bengals. Sure, Apple is a bum who's feeling himself after an unexpectedly easy game for Cincy. But is he wrong for suggesting that the all of the focus on the events of the past 2 weeks is at least partially responsible for the Bills heading to "Cancun" instead of Atlanta......or is he wrong for pointing it out in the way that he did?
  15. Im a contrarian to BS like this whining, yes. You got me! It was a tweet. It disturbed you immensely. I’m not the one opening up my veins over this kid’s online nonsense. Think about something else. Is there no significant injustice to point your hate toward? Something worthy of it?
  16. given the chronic power outages in India, they would do well to harness your vicarious rage-by-proxy (over a tweet) as it burns brighter and hotter than a thousand suns!
  17. yes, we all understand that. He was not mocking Hamlin himself, as many here are bizarrely claiming. It was a childish jab Apple put on twitter for one reason only --to rile up guys like you who would jump all over it even though it is in no way directed at them. Your response (this thread AND it's opening post) was over the top. A player posted a tasteless tweet?! Sacre bleu!! One simply does not mock the Bills loving (now marketing) gestures on behalf of their fallen comrade! Dragging this poor guy (who is still recovering and apparently requiring continuous supplemental oxygen) into the stadium suite so the networks and the jumbotron could pan to him before the game and after each big play could also be viewed as a crass and exploitative maneuver on the Bills and the NFL. They were "hell"bent on milking all of the goodwill/PR this story would provide for as long as they could. It was a huge story for the NFL for almost 2 weeks---they were going to put him on display up there if they had to carry him up. But that's cool.... keep reading
  18. there you go
  19. He wasn't doing that
  20. No player, even Apple, would mock Hamlin himself or his near-death experience. It should be obvious to even you and the others struggling with that tweet that Apple is mocking the Bills and their nonstop use of the "heart/3" for the past 2 weeks--for instance after every score last week against the Dolphins. Face it--it's something the Bills organization hyped all week. Now Apple is tossing it back at them as overhype---all it got them is an early vacation. This isn't even hard---it's Eli Apple! Too many people (nonplayers) let this stuff get to them for reasons that are beyond sense. I don't see Diggs filling a diaper over this--why are you? 1 year of free rent in the OP's head.
  21. as many have pointed out, perhaps you've misinterpreted the "Cancun on 3" comment--similarly you've mischaracterized my posts (I do tend to call out BS a lot). Also, for a guy for whom all of this is just a "hobby", you've decided to start a post to describe your rage ("hate" and "clown" and "hell"!) over some pretty harmless ribbing by an opponent. It's Eli Apple--he's a bum. He talks a lot. It's all part of the TV Show that is the NFL. maybe you need to take a step back from all this for a while, for the life of you...
  22. imagine how emotionally exhausted the Bills would be in a double elimination scenario. none of them would survive. pass.
