  1. Goal posts not moved. no obvious talent for evaluating a position of significant need, category WR. If you can't diagnose the problem, you probably are not very good at solving the problem, logic dictates. The roster needed and needs WRs...tell me, if they let Davis walk, how many Beane drafted WRs (all time) are still on the roster? Beane has treated the WR draft as an afterthought, relying instead on an endless stream of FA WRs parading through for short stints in Buffalo on their way out of the league.
  2. he coached for 3 more years--that was the record for those last two years. This guy had all the weapons he will never have in DC....still he flopped.
  3. More money makes you smarter? Explain the Sabres...
  4. Quinn had Ryan, Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley, Austin Hooper, Devonta Freeman....... and still finished 7-9. Twice.
  5. That's not what I'm doing (see below), hope you enjoyed that show. When WR is chronically a position of need and it's not addressed in the draft...it's because the GM is very good at assessing the WR position? He just can't tell when he needs one? How does that make sense. And 2 guys in 7 years isn't much of a track record--especially if the better one is likely gone and the other has 65 targets in 2 years.
  6. when you don’t swing the bat on a position of need, that’s a failure of evaluation of the first order—pretty simple. It also means he couldn’t recognize it was a problem Look at the receivers passed on over the years. Now, 7 years into his stewardship we have a declining Diggs, Davis likely gone, and Shakir. It’s a disaster the obvious difference between Beane and BB is that his struggle drafting WRs had no impact on the teams 20 year dynasty
  7. Davis isn’t a WR1. Davis was a decent 2 (despite the sentiment here). Shakir is a complimentary guy. 2 decent picks in 7 years I guess. the need is in the top spot.
  8. yeah Belichicks legacy will be “couldn’t evaluate WRs” lol the point was he never prioritized a position of need (WR)….
  9. You’ve reiterated my point
  10. I'm a fan of Gabe, but he's probably gone. Shakir is decent WR3 material. But...so what?
  11. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10107817-nfl-rumors-ben-johnson-saw-commanders-execs-as-basketball-guys-was-turned-off this is how you get Dan Quinn
  12. he's shown no aptitude for evaluating WR talent.
  13. That's because 2/3 of those in Jax don't have indoor plumbing---so they get confused at the stadium.
  14. meanwhile....lol: https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/raiders-to-hire-marvin-lewis-as-assistant-head-coach/ar-BB1hDBxh
  15. When has he done that in his tenure as Bills GM?
  16. I think he's pretty good, but he won't last long in then NFL. He's very breakable. Doug Whaley has already claimed Hartman has "that It Factor"...
  17. Yeah, what you really want is a guy in his 30's with 1 or 2 years experience as a Coordinator...
  18. Tre was the best DB the Bills had for his first 5 seasons (playing with Poyer and Hyde). Butch Byrd goes up before these 2 guys Byrd, Kyle for sure.
  19. Neither is even the best DB the franchise has had.
  20. as the only representatives over the past 25 years?
  21. No. The last Bills put up there stopped playing 25 years ago. They aren't the 2 best players to wear the uniform since...
  22. I'm not. Just trying to help you with this very simple concept. Contracts are currently worth 10 billion a year.
  23. Hill is long gone--back to back SB appearances without him. Kelce is having his worst year since 2015. Had the Bears taken Mahomes instead of Trubisky, there would be no talk of Reid and the HOF.
  24. The NFL dominates all other sports leagues because it craves (and gets) attention that guarantees that it is top of the sports news cycle year round---good press or bad (anyone remember "CTE"?), doesn't matter. And.....one more time: the broadcast revenue is fixed in the contracts that are locked for 10 more years. Any extra revenue comes from merchandise, sponsorships (gambling, booze, tech--any number of "the Official (x) of the NFL" stuff) and of course, the team owners make extra money from tickets sales and merch. Panning to Taylor Swift during 1 game a week for 1 season brings no extra revenue to the streams I listed. It's just another layer of pop culture dominance the NFL enjoys that NBA, MLB and NHL can only dream of. Let it go, she can't hurt you...
