  1. Levitre is in serious trouble ....call it what you want....he's not good enough or they think the next guy is better....either way, when a previous starter gets demoted in practice, they usually don't get their old job back, unless thru injury. this is NOT some ploy to simply motivate andy.
  2. Maybin: 8/21/2009: Signed a five-year, $17.6 million contract. The deal contains $15 million guaranteed, including a $7.087 million signing bonus. Another $7.4 million is available through incentives based on playing time and sacks (WHICH HE NEVER REACHED). 2011: $757,500, 2012: $1.12 million, 2013: $1.4825 million, 2014: $1.5 million (Voidable Year), 2015: Free Agent. based on this he had a $3.52 mil cap hit per year. he played/used 2 years. this year and two more will have to be eaten.

  4. Bobby April was left in limbo by the organization....so he exercised a clause in his contract that made him a free agent. he also held the title of assistant head coach, and felt snubbed when the team promoted defensive coordinator Perry Fewell to finish the season as interim head coach.
  5. Mallett, Kolb among QBs who shined in preseason debut.. The Patriots' Ryan Mallett is the steal of the draft. The rookie had a sensational debut performance against the Jaguars. Mallett completed 12 of 19 passes for 164 yards with one touchdown on his way to leading the Patriots to two scores in his four possessions. Although he worked against the second-team defense, his pocket poise and awareness were exceptional for a first-year player. He routinely found the safety valve or hot read against blitz pressure and seemed undaunted by the free rushers in his face. Mallett also showed exceptional arm strength, accuracy and touch on intermediate throws. He repeatedly delivered the ball on time, and his decisiveness indicates his quick mastery of the system. Despite the difficulty in finding quality young quarterbacks, it seems the Patriots have picked up a franchise quarterback with their third-round pick. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d821688d6/article/mallett-kolb-among-qbs-who-shined-in-preseason-debut?module=HP11_cp
  6. thought i would bump some good news to top...... LaCanfora confirmed to WGR that the Bills, according to his sources, want to make Williams "among the highest paid defensive tackles in the game." This would be Williams' third new contract in the last five years. LaCanfora added Williams is "very open to securing his long-term future with the Bills and the deal could come together before the season starts." http://wgr550.com/Report--Bills-Negotiating-With-Kyle-Williams/10616387
  7. i've got some good news and i've got some bad news..... with the first pick in the 2012 NFL Draft....the Buffalo Bills select Andrew Luck QB Stanford.

  10. Report: Panthers interested in Lee Evans http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/08/12/report-panthers-interested-in-lee-evans/ as previously stated, i think Lee Evans is a STUD !! and the best offensive player the bills have. i would hate to see him go. having said that, i would take Carolina's 1st or 2nd round pick in next years draft.
  11. the Bills have the WORST starting OT's in the league. it spells BIG TROUBLE !!
  12. nice first start for the rookie....a QB rating of 108. really wanted the Bills to draft this guy in the third round. Mallett will wind up being the best QB in his draft class. i guarantee Mallett will be traded in the future for a 1st or 2nd round pick (the next Kolb). http://itiswhatitis.weei.com/sports/newengland/football/patriots/2011/08/12/ryan-mallett-vs-the-first-round-quarterbacks-round-1/
  13. lee evans for a 4th round pick is NOT a good deal (a 2nd or better is needed).....Lee is the best player on offense......check out Stevie Johnsons stats when Lee missed the last 3 & 1/2 games.....they weren't good. i guess i would consider trading lee for a starting OT....but thats unlikely. i understand technically almost any player is available for the right price.....a 4th round pick for Lee is just not enough.
  14. Report: Arizona Interested in Bills' Evans http://www.wgr550.com/pages/9034669.php?pid=58081
  15. MAYBIN IS A BUST !!!......(haven't said that in awhile).....the bills will NOT get a draft choice and he will NOT be on the final roster.
  16. per Mr. WEO: "Just left practice. Yup, Merriman was there--whole practice at 1/8 speed."
  17. he didn't even make a week.... Shawne Merriman was given what Gailey called "a rest day" on Friday, but he didn't practice again on Saturday. Gailey said things changed a little, "He didn't feel well this morning. He was a sorer than we thought he was going to be, so we left him out one more day. I think he'll be back tomorrow." http://wgr550.com/Bills-Williams-leaves-practice--Merriman-misses-a-/10552741

  19. any of the first 3 home games would be good. weather should be nice for all of em. Sep 18 Raiders (home opener atmosphere, we are still tied for 1st place, actual chance of winning)my 2nd choice. Sep 25 Patriots (Tom Brady....bills will probably get spanked ) my 3rd choice. Oct 9 Eagles (Mike Vick, perfect football weather, most entertaining game on schedule ) my 1st choice. stay away from the other games...Jets (fights) Ten, Mia & Den all December.
  20. It’s not clear what happened with the last remaining hurdles — including blood testing for human growth hormone and appeals of league discipline for personal-conduct policy violations — but the bottom line is that the NFL year is now underway http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/08/04/nfl-players-ratify-new-cba/
