  1. always exceptions to the rule, Dan Marino is another example of someone who scored low and turned out pretty good. intelligence is not meaningless, its just another piece of the puzzle (for me, an important piece).
  2. I think it's a big deal. to me, a low score is a good indicator as to someone who is more likely to make costly mental mistakes on the field.
  3. The Super Bowl champion Ravens will be taking a break from tradition and playing their first game on the road, in Denver against the Broncos, league sources told CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/blog/eye-on-football/22097341/2013-nfl-schedule-ravens-will-open-in-denver-for-2013-nfl-kickoff AFC EAST Buffalo Bills Home: Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, New York Jets, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Kansas City Chiefs Away: Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, New York Jets, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Jacksonville Jaguars
  4. League spokesman Greg Aiello announced Tuesday that the NFL's 2013 regular-season slate of games will be announced on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET. NFL.com and NFL Network's "Schedule Release '13" programming simultaneously will reveal this year's lineup. we're dooooomed
  5. also interesting to note.....Cleveland is again sitting at #6, just as they were in 2011.
  6. I agree with ya on the offensive line strength as evidenced by my Big Board: safest and surest picks in the draft: #1- Luke Joeckel #2- Chance Womack #3- Eric Fisher #4- Dee Milliner #5- Jonathan Cooper #6- Lane Johnson
  7. The Falcons really coveted a receiver in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft and they were eager to move up from the 27th spot. It was a blockbuster deal. In exchange for getting the sixth pick (so they moved up 21 spots), Atlanta gave the Browns five -- five! -- draft picks: their 1st- (27th overall), second- (59th) and fourth-round (124th) picks that year and their first- and fourth-round picks in 2012. NOTE:(they would move up 22 spots this year if they traded with buffalo, from 30th to 8th).
  8. Two years ago, the Falcons made no secret in the days before the draft that they were looking to trade up to get a wide receiver, and they would eventually send two first-round picks, a second-round pick and two fourth-round picks to Cleveland so that they could draft Julio Jones sixth overall. That worked well enough that the Falcons are now trying to move up again. Peter King of Sports Illustrated reports that the Falcons are trying to trade up from their current first-round pick, which is No. 30 overall. King said he doesn’t know which player or players the Falcons are targeting, but they apparently like someone whom they expect to be off the board before No. 30 overall. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/04/17/falcons-trying-to-trade-up-in-the-nfl-draft/
  9. pretty sure the Ravens will want out of the 32nd overall pick. the bills will need to move ahead of all the QB needy teams who like them, may have passed on a QB in the 1st.
  10. probably 7th......nice player, but he comes with risk. he played DE in college but projects as an OLB in a 3-4 defense. most likely will start out as a pass rushing specialist and not an every down player in his first year. he has a bum shoulder and underwent surgery after the combine. all those first 6 players I mentioned start from day 1 and play all downs.
  11. safest and surest picks in the draft: #1- Luke Joeckel #2- Chance Womack #3- Eric Fisher #4- Dee Milliner #5- Jonathan Cooper #6- Lane Johnson
  12. you knew the move to safety was coming....no big surprise..... do the bills now take Dee Milliner if he's there at #8 ?
  13. not only will Nassib be picked with #8 .....(assuming he's still on the board). he will be the Opening Day Starter.....(he already knows the offense).
  14. A Byrd in the hand is ALWAYS worth more than two in the bush..... Byrd is an Associated Press (AP) ALL-PRO....that makes him one of the Top 4 safeties in the league. what is the percentage of all first round draft choices that go on to become an AP ALL PRO ?? ANSWER: Of the 319 first-round picks taken in the last 10 years: 98 made at least one Pro Bowl (31 percent) 55 made multiple Pro Bowls (17 percent) In other words, less than a third of "can't-miss" prospects selected in the first rounds of the last 10 NFL drafts have gone to even one Pro Bowl. The percentages for the higher ALL-PRO designation are even less. STOP TRADING PROVEN TALENT FOR POSSIBLE FUTURE TALENT !!!!
  15. #8 - Nassib #41- E J Manuel
  16. the Bills have the leverage......cap number for Safeties is low enough that they can tag him again next year.
  17. QB - Geno Smith - Philly WR - Cordarrelle Patterson - Minn TE - Tyler Eifort - Pit OT - Luke Joeckel - KC LB - Dion Jordon - JETS
  18. I love the Gilmore pick..... but with easy pickings on the other side, it's an easy decision for opposing QB's to stay away from Gilmore.
  19. ravens need him to replace ray lewis street cred
  20. Jadeveon Clowney out for neck, back South Carolina Gamecocks defensive end Jadeveon Clowney could be done for the spring. Gamecocks defensive coordinator Lorenzo Ward told reporters on Tuesday that the All-American and reigning Hendricks Award winner could be shut down for the remainder because of neck and back pain. Clowney, who will enter the 2013 season as a legitimate Heisman Trophy candidate, sprained his neck last week when he collided with defensive tackle J.T. Surratt during practice and wasn't cleared to practice on Tuesday. http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/9155113/jadeveon-clowney-south-carolina-gamecocks-sidelined-neck-back-stiffness if he was my son, I wouldn't risk any injury whatsoever. I would withdraw from college and enter one of those performance training program to prepare for the combine and significantly reduce the chance of injury from contact.
  21. bills sure are telegraphing a QB in round 1 and a WR in round 2.
  22. after seeing details of Kolb's contract, they are paying him like a backup. more convinced than ever that if Nassib is there, they take him at #8.....and he will be the opening game starter.
