  9. b) Any Club that designates a player as a Franchise Player for the third time shall, on the date the third such designation is made, be deemed to have tendered the player' a one-year NFL Player Contract for the greater of: (A) the average of the five largest Prior Year Salaries for players at the position (within the categories set forth in Section 7(a) below) with the highest such average; (B) 120% of the average of the five largest Prior Year Salaries for players at the position (within the categories set forth in Section 7 (a) below) at which the player participated in the most plays during the prior League Year; or © 1 44% of his Prior Year Salary. (By way of example, a kicker designated as a Franchise Player for the third time in the 201 4 League Year would have a Required Tender equal to the greater of: (i) the average of the five largest 201 3 Salaries for quarterbacks; (ii) 1 20% of the average of the five largest 2013 Salaries for kickers; or (iii) 1 44% of the player's own 201 3 Salary.) If the Club designates the player as a Franchise Player for the third time, the designating Club shall be the only Club with which the player may negotiate or sign a Player Contract. In lieu of designating such a player as a Franchise Player for the third time, any Club may designate such player as a Transition Player pursuant to Section 3 below. https://www.nflplayers.com/about-us/CBA-Download/
  10. executive summary of 24 pages: Byrd signed his tender without a "no tag" for next year clause. Some suggest Byrd is unhappy and we should trade him now. Others say those rumors are unreliable and no way should we trade him. you're all caught up.
  11. I hear ya....that was a tough pick....i'm not down on balt like most. balt has a tougher schedule than NE.
  12. my sleeper pick is DeMarco Sampson
  13. #1- Denver #2- Houston #3- New England #4- Baltimore #5- Cincy #6- Indy sleeper team: KC
  14. considering that there is only a 31% chance that a first round pick makes just one pro bowl, a 17% chance that he makes multiple pro bowls and a 30% chance he will be a bust. an all pro in his prime is worth 2 first round picks. seeing as that is unlikely, you tag em again next year.
  15. watch how slow Byrd looks, gets passed by 3 players.
  16. when the time is right.....
  17. if this last more than 4 hours, seek immediate medical help.
  18. pretty sure Parker would need the Bills permission to call around, as that would be tampering. if Byrd and Parker don't like the hand they've been dealt.....they still have the option of going dirty by having Byrd pull up lame with some kind of injury. then he gets paid while missing games without risking long term injury.
  19. spiller is under contract for 3 more seasons. he may used up by then. 8/6/2010: Signed a six-year, $39.3 million contract. The deal contains $20.8 million guaranteed. Another $12.5 million is available through incentives, roughly $12 million of which are available in the final year. Spiller is eligible for an annual $250,000 workout bonus throughout the contract's life. 2013: $2,623,334, 2014: $1,748,750, 2015: $2,196,663, 2016: Free Agent http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/5566/cj-spiller REGARDING BYRD......Byrd and his agent may think the bills are still trying to stick it to them by taking away one game check. The Bills approached the NFL for an exemption a day after Byrd signed his one-year, $6.9 million franchise tender. General manager Doug Whaley told The Associated Press he had not ruled out having the exemption extend into the regular season. "An extra roster spot is always a good thing," Whaley said, when asked if Byrd could be exempted for the Bills opener against New England on Sept. 8. That request was denied because the NFL generally limits exemptions to two games. Buffalo plays at Washington on Saturday, and closes the preseason hosting Detroit on Aug. 29. Byrd would not have been paid if he wasn't on the active roster for the first week of the season. http://espn.go.com/nfl/trainingcamp13/story/_/id/9589292/buffalo-bills-seek-roster-exemption-nfl-jairus-byrd
