  1. but the home opener vs new England is going for triple the value. my $77 seats are going for $250 each in the after market.
  2. the bills would be happy to bill you one of two ways: #1- $77 per game for 9 games (2 pre & 7 reg). or #2- $99 per game for 7 regular season games and 2 pre season games FREE. which would you prefer ?

  4. just change the name to Flutie
  5. like a swimsuit model should sit home and get fat waiting for the next gig. then sign a contract and say I need a couple months to get in shape. as far as schemes go....man to man, cover 2, cover 3. seeing as they switch up during the game, I would think by now, jairus knows all the schemes and the d coordinator just needs to call the play. yep I just don't see Tyrd and his agent playing nice.... like all of of sudden everything is cool.... all that matters is getting to the end of the season HEALTHY and taking another crack at the long term deal he desires. he could give two chits about the bills. he will err on the side of caution all year. he will miss games.
  6. physically he threw a nice ball, his WR's had lots of drops. mentally, he plays like a rookie.
  7. shouldn't the player who believes he is and should be the highest paid safety in all of football already be in game shape and know how to play in any defensive scheme ?
  8. i'm flat out saying our offensive line was poor. and now with the loss of Levitre will flat out suck this year. our depth is laughable. our line was helped in great part and was made to look better than what it really is due to Fitz getting rid of the ball in under 3 seconds and Freddy being a league leader in Yards after Contact (YAC). I think Freddy and Spiller are STUDS.
  9. CBA says he can ONLY sign a long term deal with his old/current club and NOT until this season is over. there is no sign and trade like basketball. he "could" be traded, with possibly a wink wink understanding, but he can't sign a long term deal with anyone until this season is over.
  10. "if" Tyrd really wants out of buffalo (which is likely)....then the best way to force your way out is to make the bills NOT want to use the tag next year. make it so they prefer to trade you. one way to do that is by constantly missing games due to minor injury and making that $6.9 mil tag money a bad deal. if he plays healthy all 16 games at his pro bowl level, then the bills got great value. if he only plays in half the games, then not so great of a deal.
  11. just another reason to reduce preseason games... The Buffalo Bills “treated” a gathering of about 40,000 fans to an exercise in futility Thursday night in their exhibition finale. The Bills rested 21 of their 22 of their starters and got blown out by the Detroit Lions, 35-13. http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/bills-nfl/bills-throw-backups-to-the-lions-in-preseason-finale-20130829
  12. just got home from game (left at halftime)... WOW !! ...just WOW !!.....that was the worst half of football I have ever seen.
  13. heard on radio that Mark Gaughn is reporting Tuel will NOT play tonight.
  14. All NCAA athletes should be able to profit off their image and likeness like Olympic athletes.
  15. by now they know what they have in Tuel.... I say start Leinart thru first half, play lewis in second half.
  16. if they all played behind the same offensive line... #1- min #2- buf #3- ten #4- kc #5- wash #6- sea #7- sf #8- tb #9- ne #10- hou #11- bal #12- chi
  17. this gets expensive, but if I bet against the bills they win. if I bet for them, they lose.
  18. In a surprise move, the Patriots have cut cornerback Ras-I Dowling. Heading into the 2011 NFL draft, the Patriots liked Dowling so much that they took him with the first pick in the second round (a pick they had previously acquired in a trade with the Panthers). And Dowling showed early promise, starting the first two games of the season. But Dowling suffered a hip injury in Week Two of his rookie year and missed the rest of the season, and Dowling’s 2012 season was also cut short because of an injury, this time a torn muscle in his thigh. Through two seasons Dowling has played in only nine games. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/08/28/patriots-cut-ras-i-dowling/
  19. the lost stadium revenue would be made up by increased TV revenue. lets say one home pre-season game generates revenue of 50,000 seats sold by ave ticket price of $50 = $2.5 million lets use NBC's sunday night rights fee (a playoff game would generate more). NBC pays the NFL over $1 Billion dollars per year. if you divide that $1 billion by 17 weeks, then divide that by 32 teams you get $1.8 million per team then times that by 2 playoff games = $3.6 mil/team.
  20. the host kept calling him the thurmaLATOR instead of thurmanator.....funny
  21. reduce preseason games from 4 to 2 games. keep regular season at 16 games. replace the lost revenue by adding one playoff team per conference. only the #1 seed gets a bye. wild card weekend would have 3 games each on saturday and sunday.
  22. sack the QB before he throws ?
