  1. marrone was advised by his agent to opt out. he tried to force an extension which failed. polian was initially asked to consult only, that changed when marrone opted out and became a rebuild.. patty tried to get ted black fired and lost a power struggle. brandon, nix and whaley are all capable of keeping the ship afloat. pegula has signaled changes are coming. patience grasshoper. it's all good.
  2. Polian was interested in only being a big picture "consultant". observing an already established organization and making recommendations. not the tedious everyday grind of building one from the ground up. simple as that.
  3. welcome back.... your about to be tested again.
  4. but, but, but then we're not doomed.....
  5. better get going on promoting schwartz. you lose him, it's mickey mouse club time.
  6. in order of reliability TBD fan poll whaley pegula brandon
  7. 50% say it's all good 50% say we're doomed
  8. geez, you didn't say all hell would break loose.....
  9. 99% of players are selfish and only look out for themselves. 100% of team are selfish and don't think twice about cutting players. marrone had a legit clause that protected him from the uncertainty of new ownership. he will have zero problems getting another gig in either the pro's or college.
  10. beautiful......hopefully he talks orton out of retirement too.
  11. he did what was best for him.....just like 99% of the players do. looking at him like he "quit" is a losers mentality. life goes on.
  12. bills go 14-2 with Rivers but you have a better shot at winning powerball vs prying him loose from SD
  13. agent Jimmy Sexton, who also represents Rex Ryan and a litany of other coaches, is too seasoned and savvy to let any client make such a seismic decision to quit his job (even though he received a guaranteed $4 million with no offset language) unless he had a strong sense that there was another one lined up. The sequence of events on Sunday makes it difficult to believe that the Jets didn’t have prior discussions with the Marrone camp. The feeling in league circles is that Casserly has been infatuated with Marrone for years. He’s calling the shots. http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/jets/mehta-consultants-pushing-doug-marrone-jets-article-1.2062892
  14. the HOF has already made it clear that Polian , coming in as a "contributor" is not subject to the 5 year reset rule.
  15. Vic Carucci of the Buffalo News reports that Chargers offensive coordinator Frank Reich is the "top target". http://profootballta...get-in-buffalo/
  16. win win hackett is also good as gone.
  17. what if the marrone thing wasn't the something he was talking about ?
  18. who can blame him.....he essentially gets a $4 mil bonus for leaving. he had no assurances he would be here long term. he gets to leave on a high note and on his terms.
  19. it's all about the money.... ESPN's Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen reported that Marrone walks away with his 2015 salary of $4 million "without it counting as an offset against any future salary." The out clause in his contract activated if the Bills changed ownership, which happened when Terry Pegula bought the team. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/doug-marrone-opts-out-of-contract--done-as-buffalo-bills--coach-231705211.html
  20. yes it is. my favorites are bradford and mallett. foles, cutler, gabbert and our own 2nd rounder could be possibilities.
  21. for starters, we will have an easier schedule in 2015. we play the AFC South and NFC east. secondly, i'd say there is about a 90% chance we have an upgrade at QB vs orton and ej.
  22. your friend must be dreaming while sleeping on the job
  23. cottrell said it was intentional......he just didn't think a playoff game suspension fit the crime.
  24. Bradford is due to make A BASE SALARY of nearly $13 million next season and said Tuesday he's been focusing on rehab rather than a potential restructuring or pay cut that will almost certainly have to happen if the Rams are bringing Bradford back to compete for a job. his cap hit is $16.6 mil with dead money of $3.6 mil which would result in a savings of $13 mil of cap space if cut. it is NOT in Bradfords best interest to take a pay cut. he will get paid the full $13 mil base or force his way to Free Agency by not restructuring. he will either be traded or cut.
