  1. whaley said he would have taken Ebron at #9
  2. Kyle Orton went to a 'meeting' and never came back Did you seriously expect Kyle Orton would leave the NFL any other way? He wasn't going to hold some lengthy press conference or issue a tearful statement. Dude was going to smash and grab his way out the league without telling a soul. http://www.sbnation.com/lookit/2014/12/29/7461095/kyle-orton-bills-left-retire-smash-and-grab
  3. adds up to Orton is somewhere between not good enough and sucks.
  4. straight out of the brett farve playbook... skip training camp.....come back at last possible moment.
  5. strength of schedule not the same system to break ties for the playoffs.
  6. let's just hope he stays retired this time..... unless of course one of our afc east opponents want him.

  12. Marrone has a three-day out clause, but is expected to stay with Bills http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/12/28/marrone-has-a-three-day-out-clause-but-is-expected-to-stay-with-bills/
  13. #50 - Brett Hundley, QB, UCLA
  14. Orton's Cap hit next year is $7 mil he either agrees to a lower number or he is gone.
  15. and tomorrow he signs with michigan for $50 mil
  16. "PANIC" is not the right word. i'd say there were two motivating factors #1- survival - to swing for the fences knowing his window of oppurtunity to impress the Pegula's is short. #2- judgement - he truly feels Sammy will be an Elite talent and worth the premium he paid. my conclusion is that i always prefer to trade down, pick up an extra premium 2nd round pick and spread the injury risk and cap hit over two players. having said that, i think Sammy will be an All -Pro player after his third season. he is truly special. he was hindered this year with chit for QB's and the injury bug.
  17. with the exception of EJ, i'm for ALL backups playing including tuel. 2015 starts now.
  18. his 2015 Cap Hit is $7 mil with $1.5 in Dead Money if cut. he's getting cut or redone for backup money. http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/kyle-orton/ EJ is a "developement" QB. it's in everyones best interest to start fresh in 2015. it's the right decision to play orton this week.
  19. in this case, they must do BOTH qb & o line. fixing one without the other will not end our playoff drought.
  20. #1 - too many pre-season games #2- the rule where if the offense fumbles the ball out of the endzone, it goes to the defense on the 20 even though the defense didn't gain possession.
  21. hughes won't even get a whiff. he is so over rated by bills fans. Muhammad Wilkerson and Sheldon Richardson from the jets, Eagles Fletcher Cox, Everson Griffen from minnesota just to name a few will all get in before him.
  22. for starters, the pegula's management style will be hands on the business side with kim overseeing russ, but turning over the keys to football people to manage player personnel decisions. wether it's whaley (who deserves 1 more year)or someone higher, as usual we are left hoping for the best. the two gents i named both have proven track records. who knows if either is interested. so much easier being a talking head on tv or an executive in a cushy league office.
  23. some day the bills will stop wasting first round picks on RB's
  24. actually, hiring a czar will be easier than finding a franchise QB. #1- ernie accorsi - tie in at penn st #2- bill polian - success with bills, panthers and colts i'm sure pegula's can come up with a fancier title other than consultant.
  25. don't worry.....it's almost over. no way whaley hitches his wagon to orton next year with his job on the line.
