NFL Exec Admits Link Between CTE and Brain Trauma
papazoid replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No female athletes have been found to have had CTE, The New York Times reports. is there a possible genetic predisposition to CTE ? https://m.the-daily-record.com/opinion/2016/03/18/editorial-a-gift-for-cte-study this is like global warming.....where the sample size is very small. There has been climate change for over 1 Billion years.......and yet in a miniscule sample size , some science folks want to say that what has taken place in the most recent 200 years of the last 1,000,000,000 years is what should be considered "normal". -

Jared Goff "I'm just not crazy about him, not at all. He doesn't win. Show me a quarterback who didn't win in college, that did well up here? There aren't many. To me he's another Jay Cutler. And you can take that any way you want." - NFC Scout http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000646540/article/nfc-scout-cals-jared-goff-is-another-jay-cutler

Mario to sign with Miami? [UPDATE: Signed]

looks like gase is smarter than rex. -
the agent knows the bills currently have maybe $3-4 mil available this season plus whatever they save in 2016 Cap space from long term deals with Glenn & Gilmore. a long term deal with TT this season is still a possibility.......where he gets large upfront bonus in exchange for low 2016 cap hit and below market after that. TT might sign a team friendly contract in 2016, but will not if he reaches free agency in 2017.

Pats wheeling and dealing, trade for Martellus Bennet
papazoid replied to FireChan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
the NFL has not raised any concerns about the arrangement. The league provided the Globe with the following statement: “We are aware of the arrangement and have not determined that there is any violation of the CBA.'' The NFLPA also told the Globe that the arrangement between the Patriots and TB12 has no salary cap implications. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/25421960/report-patriots-pay-a-tom-brady-owned-company-run-by-suspect-partner -

We have the worst cap situation in the league?
papazoid replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
not sure how your getting $37 mil Russel Wilson got 4yr/ $87.6 mil ($22 mil/yr ave). I think TT is getting Osweiller money ($18 mil/yr) Glenn is not signing a long term deal for less than $14 mil/yr Gilmore is not signing a long term deal for less than $13 mil/yr that totals $45 - 49 mil/yr (not $37) -

that $43 mil in 2017 gets completely used up with Glenn ($14), Gilmore ($12) and Tyrod ($20). i'm not saying this is a bad thing.... i'm saying that there is little to no money for adding an impact free agent. while the 8-8 bills are maintaining status quo by signing their own......we are losing ground to other teams (like oak, hou) making major improvements by adding free agents. don't forget to save some serious money for Sammy ($15) in 2018. The 5th year option for a Top 10 pick is the Franchise tag value ($14.6 mil). -
Johnny Manziel (update: waived by Browns)

manziel is a train wreck BUST on and off the field. and even in the unlikely event he straightens out his personal life......he will NEVER make it in the NFL. -

RG3 meeting with Browns (update: signed)
papazoid replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
when he was a dual threat with healthy wheels in his first year, he was a legit starter. now after losing 2 steps due to injury, mediocre arm and being a huge head case.....he is not a legit starter. he can only hope to get backup money and wait for his chance. no one is handing him a starters job this season. -
they are NOT trading the 1st pick. a little more cause I doubt anyone will want to pay a kings ransom. the only team willing to go up to #1 will be a QB needy team. after #2 Cleveland, the next team is #7 SF, then #15 LA rams. Tunsil , Jack and both QB's will NOT be on the board at #7. if i'm a Titans fan, in order to move down to #7, I need at least 3 additional future 1st and/or 2nd round picks (likely 1@1st and 2@2nd)in addition to swapping #1's this year. (Rams got 2@1st and 1@2nd future picks in addition to swapping firsts) http://www.turfshowtimes.com/2014/5/9/5699140/rams-rgiii-trade-explained-in-one-picture
