  1. Biggest remaining roster hole for all 32 NFL teams Buffalo BillsLinebacker It's not even close. After spending to retain left tackle Cordy Glenn and guard Richie Incognito, the Bills didn't have the cap space left to re-sign linebacker Nigel Bradham. Not only do the Bills need to find a replacement for Bradham, but coach Rex Ryan said last week that he needs middle linebacker Preston Brown to "step up" this season. Ryan's defenses have been successful over the years because of linebackers such as Ray Lewis, Bart Scott and David Harris; the Bills don't have anyone like that on their roster. -- Mike Rodak http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/page/32for32x160330/biggest-remaining-roster-hole-all-32-nfl-teams-free-agency-2016
  2. Patriots, Panthers at the top of post-free-agency Power Rankings 21. Buffalo Bills2015 record: 8-8 Voting results: 365 points Post-Super Bowl ranking: No. 18 Stats & Information's take: The Bills don't have much cap space, and it shows. Their two free-agent signings -- safety Robert Blanton and TE Jim Dray -- combined to play 641 snaps last season. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/15064630/patriots-panthers-lead-post-free-agency-nfl-power-rankings
  3. that statement may or may not be true. it may be proven true or false down the road. that blood test may or may not be helpful in any way for return to work issues and may or may not be helpful with CTE. at this point, nobody knows what causes CTE. there are way more questions than answers. just a reminder, Tobacco smoke is made up of more than 7,000 chemicals, including over 70 known to cause cancer (carcinogens)......and yet that industry denied a link for decades. time will tell.
  4. player safety. could possibly be used to help prevent players from coming back to soon from a head injury. players have been known to LIE about their real symptoms and condition in order to get back on the field faster or not be tagged as someone who is prone or more likely to have head issues going forward.
  5. Blood test that can find evidence of a concussion days later is closer to becoming a reality The study involved 600 patients admitted to a trauma center from March 2010 to March 2014. All had suffered some kind of head injury resulting in loss of consciousness, amnesia or disorientation. The researchers drew the participants' blood when they were initially admitted and at regular intervals in the days following to look at how a level of a biomarker known as glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) changed over time. The blood samples showed that GFAP peaked at 20 hours after injury and slowly declined over 72 hours but continued to be detectable for seven days. http://www.msn.com/en-us/health/wellness/blood-test-that-can-find-evidence-of-a-concussion-days-later-is-closer-to-becoming-a-reality/ar-BBr2x95?ocid=spartanntp
  6. pretty sure hits to the head and concussions are not good for your health. it has yet to proven that they contribute to or are the ONLY way you can get CTE. not one known case of CTE for lady soccer, hockey , kick boxers etc..... has been reported. why only in men ? we have no idea what percent of the population who never played football get CTE. had a dear friend who passed from ALS, he never played football. way to early to draw any conclusions of any kind whatsoever.
  7. Jerry Rice, Gordie Howe, George Foreman, Nolan Ryan, Jack Nicklaus and George Blanda .....all say Hi !
  8. Report: Josh Norman seeking $16 million a year http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/03/27/report-josh-norman-seeking-16-million-a-year/
  9. Dr. Ann McKee: We have no idea what percentage of NFL players develop CTE Because researchers have studied the brains only of players who asked to have their brains studied — or whose families asked for their brains to be studied — the sample is biased. A randomly selected sample of NFL players’ brains would need to be compared to a randomly selected sample of non-NFL players’ brains for researchers to reach any kind of conclusion about the prevalence of CTE among NFL players compared to the prevalence of CTE among the population as a whole. So far, that kind of study has not been conducted. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/03/28/dr-ann-mckee-we-have-no-idea-what-percentage-of-nfl-players-develop-cte/
  10. Rex is a great coach, there is no doubt about that. he was a bad fit to takeover the 2014 defense and should have never been hired by the bills. after he is done turning over the roster, failing to make the playoffs this season, he will get canned. wash, rinse, repeat.
  11. rex and whaley will be vanquished a new regime will come in wash, rinse, repeat.
  12. he had such a promising singing career
  13. agreed.....but i wouldnt call Bortles a hit yet......he just isn't a miss.
  14. should have been ranked 4th best Sammy is a far better WR than Bortles is a QB.
  15. by most QB measurables McCown finished last year in the 15 - 20th ranked range....(mediocre). the current versions of RG III & EJ might as well be twins........upside that will NEVER materialize.....(way below average).
  16. team A plays in bad weather 12 times a year team B plays in bad weather 4 times a year who has the advantage ?
  17. to me, that would be shocking. especially with the significant losses in the O-line. Josh McCown is better.
  18. ABSOULTELY !! but in Sammy's case.....Whaley "hit" on his bold move BIGTIME !
  19. because the metric that is most important is REVENUE.
  20. the "shield" will never stop.... someone will always have the "oldest" stadium in the league that needs to be replaced.
  21. well then you are in the wrong place. but if you find someone who does know what they are talking about, ask them how rex turned 3 All Pro defensive lineman into ZERO All Pro defensive lineman ?
  22. the Bills will continue to raise ticket prices until they stop selling 60,000 Season Tickets per year
  23. "what rex doesn't know about coaching, is a lot" - Rose Castorini
  24. no matter how hard it gets being a Bills fan.... it could always be worse... you could be a Browns fan.
  25. i wonder if he also has a no trade clause ?
