playing EJ is a complete waste of time. besides the fact he is horrible, he won't be here next year. i'm a big TT fan, but his play needs to be better. it's tough to look good without your #1, #2 & #3 WR's and #1 RB. TT gives the team the best chance to win now and to determine if he is the QB for 2017 at $15.9 mil cap hit. i'm all for upgrading the QB position, but that is a lot easier said than done, especially with another weak QB class coming out of the next draft. $16 mil is the going rate for QB's and would make TT only the 20th highest cap hit QB in the league for 2017. http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/rankings/2017/cap-hit/quarterback/

it's about spreading out cap hit and the risk of injury over 2-3 mid level players vs 1 franchise tag type player.

EJ is horrible. the only reason he is on team is his contract is 100% guaranteed. the next guarantee is that he will not be on team next year.

you can find weaknesses in every player. my main point is that you don't get rid of tyrod until you are 100% certain you have someone already on your team who is better. you want to upgrade from tyrod ?...i'm all for it. what I don't want is to cut tyrod and "hope" we find someone better.

and passer rating completely ignores plays made with their legs. kinda like in MLB where OBP gives credit to a walk is good as a hit. total QBR says a QB run is as good as a pass.

a bird in the hand is worth 3 in the bush. there is a 99.99% likelihood the bills keep tyrod for 2017 using the existing contract. that contract is team friendly which can easily be terminated at any year with very low dead money. Tyrod is currently the 9th rated QB in the league for Total QBR.

shady is an absolute stud. having said that, I would prefer to not have a $9 mil/yr RB on the team because of the risk of injury at that position. but in the real world, you take the oppurtunities to improve your team as they come. whaley is currently winning this move.
