I've been trying to put this into perspective. It hit me Saturday that no other person (athlete/announcer/owner, etc.) in sports has given me more entertainment in my life. Not even a close second. In the back of my mind there was always this magic fantasy moment where I'd see Rick out and send him over a beer with the waitress and on his way out he'd give me a nod and I'd get to thank him in person. RIP Rick and thank you.

There is a lot of luck involved in winning championships. Injuries, bad calls, off field incidents, etc. can derail. I am fairly convinced the Damar Hamlin injury and the emotional toll it took was too much for this team. I personally didn't sleep for all the days before the miracle and I'm not his friend/teammate. I just can't believe the focus required at the top level wasn't effected. The talent was able to overcome the lethargic play until Cincinnati.

I'm saying in a series decaiding game, no ref is going to call a questionable penalty.

This is why NHL>NFL.

This is the saddest thread I've seen. They won! As Jauron said. "It's hard to win in the NFL." We lost so many games like this and now we are good enough to have an off day and still win. Relax and enjoy.
