  1. Very few players are productive the year after an ACL, we saw it with Tre, Tre was a shadow of himself last year and began to start regaining his form before his most recent injury. I don't believe you'll see him make too many plays this year, I do believe next year he will be better but obviously nowhere near worth what he's going to cost us. Very unfortunate injury, the worst possible outcome that could have come, happened.
  2. Here you can see his percentage of snaps played https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/buf/2020-snap-counts.htm He's already a guy that can do 8 sacks a year+ if given the same opportunities as a normal NFL starting DE.
  3. That's because you aren't thinking properly and have a bad habit of not reading the entire posts that you are responding to. His rookie year in 2020 he played 27% of the total snaps Following year in 2021 he played 30% It wasn't until 2022 his third year that he began finding his form, he played 35% of the snaps and got 6.5 sacks. This year he has played 36% of the snaps with two games to go and he has missed two games and he has 6.5 sacks. The post that you were responding to qualified the statement that if Epenesa is given the opportunity to play on at least 60% of the snaps he would be a 7 to 11 sack a guy kind of player. The facts of his play and stats shows that statement to be a very likely outcome.
  4. He's a good player who if given an opportunity to start with playing 60% of the snaps, he'll be a consistent 7-11 sack guy a year. He's got decent burst and good technique plus he's gotten pretty good at tipping passes with that 6'6 frame of his. I suspect he'll get anywhere $7M - $10 M a year contract. Pass rushers typically come in at a premium but we did get Floyd who is more proven for an even cheaper amount, even though I do believe GM's factored in his age.
  5. Maybe, but if even so he undoubtedly will be affected in his cuts and route running ability.
  6. Barring injuries, Josh will easily finish top 8 and possibly top 5, depending on how long he plays.
  7. I don't know what football some of you have been watching, he played two solid games before he was deactivated and this past game he was monster for us. Two huge pass pressures, the more impressive one out of the two was one of the plays where Oliver got the sack. Poona did a great spin move, beat his guy cleanly and forced the QB to run right into Oliver's arms. Plus he had another run stuff right at the line of scrimmage, I think I saw him make more plays this game than Settle had made all year. Poona was a really good player with Seattle and the past three games he's suited up he's played well. He should be starting until Daquan comes back.
  8. It is one of them, they showed an overhead view of the play and the replay showed Diggs had a lot of open room and the move and cut he made was telegraphed and rounded, with a good move and cut and with the leverage he had on the defender who was essentially flat footed, if Diggs had been the Diggs of 6 weeks ago he would have had 5 steps on the guy. You’re not listening
  9. Im not talking about Josh’s throw, I’m talking about the bad rounded cut made by Diggs.
  10. I may be over analyzing this but on the Josh Allen interception, the cut that Diggs made on that safety was not crisp at all, in fact it was a very rounded cut and didn’t come close to giving the defender a tough route to cover hence the lack of separation. I think he is hurt as well, that’s the only plausible explanation to his play over the past month or so.
  11. The Chargers are terrible against the pass and now they released a DT who was 2nd on their team in pass pressures this year along with Bosa being out. I would suspect that the Bills will try to take advantage of that.
  12. It would be a damn shame and a true travesty if he doesn't end up winning a Super Bowl title with the Bills.
  13. Just because they are "no name" doesn't mean they aren't talent. Benford and Douglas have both been playing very well this year, those two in this system are a position of strength expecially when you consider Taron. So that's a strength. Normally we would have Milano and Bernard, which would be one of the top LB duo's in the league, with Milano's absence, Dodson has been a very nice surprise from what we were all expecting out of him. I would argue that he has been an above average off-the-ball LB in this system relative to other LB's over the past 6 weeks. Floyd and Rousseau are a solid duo and when you add in Epenesa, Lawson and an improving Miller the overall strength and rotation at DE is above average in the league. Oliver, Phillips, Settle and Joseph are as a whole around average with Daquan it makes it an above average unit. The safety spot is aging so they can't make the plays they used to but are still able to make some plays but also add that cerebral approach that helps out the entire defensive unit. Then when you consider McD has his finger prints all over this defense as a collective unit they play above their talent leve. On offense, when you consider Kincaid and Knox as a duo they are a well above average unit. Diggs is elite, Gabe is a below average #2, Shakir is a middling slot and Harty/Sheffield are regular quality depth WR's. Overall the WR room is average at worst. Allen is elite at the most important position in the game. The offensive line is playing top 8 which means they are a well above average unit. Cook is playing top 5 ball which means the level of play he is achieving over the past month is at an elite status, and TY has been a very pleasant surprise and Murray has been useful in short yardage and blocking situations, plus you have Leonard Fournette sitting around waiting for his call. Overall it is a decently above average unit. The offense and defense have plenty enough talent to win it all, it's just a matter of putting it all together and when they do that they can beat any team in the league.
  14. He's having his best year in terms of getting after the QB. I think he'd be a great pickup.
  15. Along with two good TE's, a good offensive line and a capable #2 WR in big games, the offense 8 times out of 10 won't be the problem.
  16. KC’s playmakers last year on the offensive side of the ball weren’t all that.
  17. I think we've pretty much all have seen that one play of Dawkins riding that guy for nearly 20 yards before burying him. Look at this one. We just completely manhandled them.
  18. If memory serves me correct, I believe there has only been 1 Allen sneak that failed this year. Which would mean that our success rate on that play has to be around 90%
  19. Giants also did this in one of their Super Bowl years.
  20. He could be, I think he has shown that he could hold down the fort.
  21. In an earlier thread last week I mentioned that I thought that this was the best offensive line that we have had in well over a decade and to my surprise there were some people who had disagreed. From my perspective, this is the best and most well balanced offensive line we have had since our Super Bowl days. This offensive line can both run and pass block and it's not just advanced scouting or stats but they pass the eye ball test. - 1st in Sacks allowed at only 1.4 sacks given up per game - 9th in pressures allowed at 18.3% - 7th in Yards Per Carry - 6th in rushing yards per game - 6th in rushing TDs per game PFF has the Bills as one of the top units Keep in mind that our rushing yards isn't just a Josh Allen story like it had been the past few years but from our RB's. I just don't think we need to actively look to upgrade the offensive line this offseason. I do think Spencer Brown is our future RT and has shown a lot of improvement this year. I think looking for Mitch Morse eventual replacement would be the only position aside from depth upgrades the Bills need to go after this offseason with the line.
