  1. And this going to free up around $10m in salary cap for 2025 If you include his $13m that is scheduled for 2025 the $93m over 5 years at an AAV of $18.6M
  2. Hell yeah! What a deal for the Bills! Beane has been on fire with extending our core young players to team friendly deals!
  3. So he’s an Andrew Tate wannabe
  4. Right, but it wasn't until his 7th season until where he saw that drop off and that is because he suffered an injury and didn't play hardly at all. Plus he had a lot more wear on those treads. Cook is going into his 4th season.
  5. Good organizations don't make habits of letting go good, young players because they don't want to pay fair market value. That's for the loser ball clubs.
  6. Yes, that will provide the most. Extending Rousseau gives the second most at around $10m+ Restructuring Dawkins gives around $8.7m If Von can do a cut in pay to $5m bonus and minimum base that would save $10m
  7. For real though
  8. It’s a good point, if Sedrick could become the answer he would represent larger cap savings 2026 and beyond
  9. Another way of looking at it Also, I wouldn’t be surprised that some of this $53m isn’t base or automatic bonuses but performance related.
  10. I know there is hope from fans about Sedrick Van Pran but I don't think we as fans really know how he is progressing. If the Bills aren't sure that Sedrick could be the long-term answer then they absolutely should extend McGovern. It would be nice to get those cap savings by extending him but they may want to play it out another year to see if Sedrick could be the guy.
  11. He is a top 5 - 10 CB and he absolutely will get paid over $20M AAV and he deserves it. He's also the 5th rated CB according to PFF Advanced metrics shows that Benford is elite in coverage, tackling and playmaking. It's really weird, we have many fans on this board that have an anathema to extending good to really good players to their market values. The good thing is that the Bills will likely extend Rousseau to his market value which will be mid $20's M AAV, Cook to around $14M AAV and Benford to somewhere in the low $20'sM AAV.
  12. He was coming off a pretty big injury and missed most of the season. He's 30 years old, definitely another option to consider.
  13. If he didn't return the needle would have moved. Against the best interests of the team
  14. I fully expect that the Bills will extend Groot, Benford and even Cook. With the recent deals, there is an urgency to get them locked up
  15. I would say that was valued pretty close to about right. I thought he was more in the $8 - $9M range, not too far off what I was thinking. He is the play caller on the defensive side of the ball and he has a knack for making plays via FF, recoveries etc. That's a position that is now locked up for the next four years.
  16. That and there was no time to get to the QB, Mahomes was getting out the ball so fast because our defensive scheme and CB's were getting abused. I know it's popular lore from fans to blame the game on the Defensive line that game, but it was much more on the CB's than anywhere else.
  17. Pretty much how I feel Still need to upgrade the position no matter if he plays with the Bills or not
  18. One less prospect to kick the tires with
  19. This is who I am beginning to lean on, been mentioning him over the last few weeks.
  20. His sack totals are insane and he does Have I believe the most sacks over the past two years. He’s one of the top 6 I’d say. He’s 30 years old, and has 1 year left on his contract at a very affordable $18m . I’m guessing he would want a 3 year extension of at least $100M, maybe even more. I think he could be had for a 2nd and 4th. Tempting
  21. Don’t like them, don’t open them. Easy
  22. He was injured for 14 games last year, he performed well the year before and of course previous years. If the price is right, absolutely should kick the tires on him. He could be had I'm guessing for around $12M AAV
  23. Alec Pierce would be a dream, no way they'd trade him and honestly the trade value for him would be higher than DK because of the contract value.
  24. For real though! But I'd do a third (which we don't have) or a 4th and a 5th with a contract around $25M - $27M AAV It's not great value based off his recent performance but he would fit the exact sort of role that the Bills could use. I'd rather them go with the moneyball approach and get either a Palmer or Hollywood Brown AND draft a premium pick WR and then load up in FA on defense with a quality CB and DT and get a passrusher via trade.
  25. Yes, you end up paying the piper at some point which is why that in order to have sustained success you have to draft well
