  1. Funny you mention that, He was the starting guard for the Rams for the entire season, including Post Season and Super Bowl. He also graded out Decently above average on both Run and pass blocking that year. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/E/EdwaDa01/gamelog/post/
  2. It doesn't make sense to trade for DeAndre if you are team like New England who let's be honest here, they have no shot in hell in winning a Super Bowl with Mac as their QB.
  3. Obviously, in order to have a successful franchise you have to make some meaningful draft selections that become impact players but what has equally important and shown with teams such as the Patriots, Rams, Chiefs among others is going through these short-term rentals through FA and trades to go after some key pieces to take them over the top. When you have a great QB it makes it a lot easier to get these players, as long as Josh Allen is the QB, they Bills should be spending the $$ and maneuvering the cap until the day J.A retires. By the time he is at his end or retires, who cares? It will be time to rebuild anyway. They should just go for broke every year they can while they have a shot.
  4. I mentioned this a few days ago, if the Bills were to sweeten the pot a little bit, they could probably get the Cardinals to eat a meaningful amount of the cap hit.
  5. There has been more posts about the fault landing squarely on the coaches fault. So yes, it is in contrast to the prevailing thought in this message board. I believe on that day it was a failure on coaching and players.
  6. Definitely possible He could be stirring the pot to try drum up more action and urgency.
  7. Beane is going to make one splash move this off-season. You can bet on it.
  8. Sort of goes against the grain of the mainstream thinking.
  9. He's definitely a good player but he's not elite. He has shown the ability to be elite but it's been inconsistent. You don't trade him for the sake of trading him, he is still the best DT on the team and there is a possibility he could end up being an 8+ sack guy a year from the interior. I wouldn't trade him unless you get something of real value for him.
  10. Depending on price of course, this would be a sort of the low risk high reward sort of signing that could pay off big time. If you look at his 2020 and 2021 play before he was injured he was rated as decently above average in both pass and run blocking. He was on his way to be considered a potential upper echelon guard in this league. I would think if the Bills could sign him to 2 year 8 Million deal with about 3 of that guaranteed it would be worth the gamble. He could end up supplanting Bates as the starter.
  11. It’s not that Harris is better than Singletary, they are both different types of backs and they are pretty equal in overall value. But the Bills were looking for someone a little bulkier who is built to get the short yardage situations more effectively. Good signing at an excellent value.
  12. The WR room is stronger than last year from the 4-6 spots (I don’t believe they are done improving it) The offensive line is upgraded with McGovern (I don’t believe they are done improving it) RB room with 2nd year for Cook/Hines along with Harris should be stronger than last year. Safety spot with Hyde back should be stronger than last year. CB room with second year Elam and White recovering should be stronger than last year The only spot where the Bills are noticeably weaker is with the departure of Edmunds and I’m guessing a valuable resource either via FA or draft will be used to mitigate some of that loss.
  13. This is Kumerow's replacement. Plays special teams, good size, 4.45 forty, YAC kind of guy and coming off his best season. The new #6 WR
  14. DeAndre Hopkins could be a good target. I think his trade value is going down and he may be within reason. He is only 30 years old, he'll be 31 for this next up coming season, (which is the same age as Devante and only 1 year older than Diggs). There is no real sign of him slowing down and speed and explosiveness was never really part of his game anyhow, he is just a tremendous, physical route runner with the best hands in the league. I wouldn't be surprised that a 4th rounder could get the deal done. Maybe if you even sweeten the pot and trade Oliver and a 5th, the Cardinals may even eat a few million from the cap hit themselves.
  15. It's possible that Beane is faking it but I don't think so. He has voiced on two separate occasions that he likes Spencer Brown and eluded to his back being a reason for his lack of production this last year. I just don't think they are going to put valuable capital at the position this off season. My hunch is that we'll either pick up a journeyman Tackle to compete for the spot and maybe a mid to late rounder for depth and development purposes.
  16. I have strong suspicions that the Chiefs are going to go after an above average starting boundary WR either trading for Hopkins or going after OBJ or something along those lines. This is an arms race, hopefully the Bills either get one in FA or use a 1st rounder on one.
