Keon was getting open a lot this past week. His ability to separate has really improved and it's just a matter of Josh looking his way a little more. We have ourselves a good WR in Keon. I expect he'll have the ball thrown his way a good bit more, specially in big games. Absolutely not the case! This is a tired talking point.

Usually the defense responds well after they have a poor week. They weren't poor against the pass but their tackling was terrible and I do not expect that issue to repeat this week. I fully expect the defense to come out fired up. The offense I expect to try to continue to keep doing what they have been doing, which is dominate the line of scrimmage, establish the run game and run lots of play action. This is who the Bills are and that is their identity. McD and Brady and the offense would want it no other way.

And I can't wrap my head around fans who are so ignorant to the fact that the offense is the best in the NFL. That they have these crazy delusions that they just need to get another WR to be an even better team, ignoring the fact that the Bills rank first in many different metrics and that the way the offense is operating is exactly the way they intended it to be. This is exactly how championship offenses are built and they don't want to return to the pass happy days of 2020. Those days are over, so you can just continue to keep crying into the wind and on the message board to anyone who will hear you. Meanwhile, the Bills continue to be #1 on offense with as balanced and efficient of an attack as you'll see. It's beyond fine! It is tops in the NFL.

So he would go from one situation where he doesn't believe he is being targeted as much as he'd like to a situation where he would be targeted even less?

This is the level of stupidity that is coming from our message board. On a relative basis, it literally does not get any better than this

Bills 4th Round Pick : Deone Walker - DT - Kentucky
Magox replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes, he’s not a true 1 technique and yes we do have a log jam of 3 techniques. Lots of penetrators, pass rushers. Maybe we can pick up a true 1 technique before the end of the trade deadline. We have WR’s and DE’s to spare, package one of those with a mid to late rounder and should be able to get a good run stuffer. -
Don’t sweat it Hansel, a lot of people on this message board were wrong as well. Remember how many of our fellow fans were arguing about paying him $15m a year? Beane got him for cheaper but even if he had cost $15m a year he would have been worth every penny of it. Fun stuff

BPA in any of the below positions: DE DT LB S WR

Exactly! This is not how most NFL teams run their organizations, specially the good ones. Every team on any given Sunday can beat another team. I am fully confident that the Bills will not overlook this opponent and they will put in their best players until the game is in hand. Is it possible that some of the backups or other guys get a few snaps throughout the game? Absolutely, but not some sort of big shift in personnel.

Meanwhile the Bills are averaging 420 yards and 34 points a game

And to think that there was a strong contingency on this board that were willing to let him walk if he didn’t sign for less than $15m a year. Beane is a great negotiator and got Cook for a great deal but if it would have taken $15m a year he would have been worth every penny of it. Be honest, and I really like Shakir, who is more valuable to this team? Shakir or Cook?

Apparently after film review he played a lot better than what people think. This is the third opinion I have read now from people who reviewed the film post game.

It did work, we scored over 30 points, Passing game was extremely efficient with over a 130 QB rating with over 160 yards rushing and no turnovers. You guys live in some weird bizarro world

It's always the same people who blame the lack of passes down the field because "The WR's can't separate". They're flat out wrong in terms of why that is happening, it's happening by design. There has been a very intentional philosophical and execution change since Brady has taken over the offense and that is to be a team that can play physical, win at the line of scrimmage and throw the ball into areas that are less prone for turnovers and it has worked!

Over the years I have learned to not get as frustrated about fans behaviors, typically they are very emotional and irrational, but to criticize the #1 offense in the league in many metrics, a team that wins, a team that is balanced, a team that doesn't turn it over, a team that scores a lot, a team who is consistent whether its in the regular season or playoffs is just beyond stupid.

It's beyond silly hearing people bash the Bills offense like it’s been some kind of disaster. If you’re one of those folks, — you’re just showing your lack of knowledge. Let’s talk facts: #1 in total offensive yards — that means we move the ball better than any other team in the league. #2 in points Scored — our offense is putting up big time points on the board #1 in not giving up turnovers — You may think it's boring, but this is how you win games. #1 in 30+ points per game since last year in the league - meaning we are consistently beating the crap out of opposing defenses. #2 in TIme of Possession - against the Ravens we had it for 34 minutes 49 seconds, against the Jets for 38 minutes and 21 seconds and against the Dolphins for 31:47 for an average of 34 minutes and 41 seconds. #3 Rushing attack in the league at 166 ypg Red zone offense is at 71.43% which means we get to the Red zone and we are putting in the endzone. Now let’s rewind to last season: We were top 2 in scoring, top 5 in yards, and top 5 in third-down conversions. Josh Allen was top 3 in total touchdowns. We had one of the most balanced and explosive offenses in the NFL. So when people infer the offense is boring or the receivers don't get "separation" - all I hear is - "I don't know jack squat about what a successful football team looks like" it’s just lazy talk. I think some of you would prefer a team like the Bengals who throws the ball 40 times a game to WR's. How did that work out for them last year? You’re ignoring the numbers and reacting emotionally. Bottom line: this offense is elite.

9/18/25 GAMEDAY Bills vs Dolphins Gameday Thread TNF

If nothing unforeseen happens, Hawes is very likely going to be a 10+ year TE in this league. The thing aside from him already being a top tier blocking tight end is that he has good hands and he is surprising mobile with the ball. The emergence of Hawes most likely spells the end of Knox's future with the Bills unless he drops his salary below $5M a year.
