  1. You realize that the Sabres have the worst record in the NHL since the Pegulas bought the team, right? And that's not just one season.
  2. Unfortunately, they can't bring back Kelly, Thomas, Reed, Smith, Bennett, ...
  3. Tell them to fire Walt Corey in 1989 and hire Wade Phillips as defensive coordinator.
  4. You only get 7 picks. Looks like a long rebuild.
  5. How much of a leader can you be when you're not on the field and 50-50 to retire early? You need to lead by example so leaders have to play.
  6. He could go the Chan Gailey route regarding the penalties: "I don't what what the problem is. If I knew what the problem was I'd have fixed it by now." That would probably be more authentic.
  7. Rex - "I thought we were in complete control of the game, then the Eagles pass rush took over." The Bills never led in this game and trailed by double digits at one point. How were they ever "In complete control"?
  8. Need a NT, an OLB, an ILB who can cover and probably a DE since neither Kyle Williams nor Dareus can really play on the edge.
  9. Sounds like a Bills type of guy. Bring him on.
  10. My concern is that while I agree with this about Taylor, and think we also got a great RB, TE, LG to go along with solid draft picks like Karlos and Darby, we are on track for the same record as last season. So while it says good things about Rex's GM instincts and Whaley as well, it doesn't speak well for him as a coach, IMO.
  11. First Incognito performs a subtle illegal chop block on Watt, going low on him while Glenn goes high. Then he lunges out and tackles the LB, grabbing him around the ankles and tripping him up. Interesting.
  12. The on line voting is a crock. You select 15 out of 21? Only 6 who don't get votes? Pretty low standard. Anyway, every year I give love to Don Coryell. I think that he was an innovator and way ahead of his time in terms of offense and the passing game. Very worthy, IMO.
  13. I agree with this. The Eagles are going to score some points. The Bills need to match them, which they can do.
  14. If the Bills run the table then I think they have a good chance. It's not guaranteed but probable. Of course the chances of the Bills running the table is another matter...
  15. He makes some big plays but some big mistakes too. He's learning though. I think he's very solid for a #3 safety but he's not consistent enough to be a starter, IMO.
  16. Mario certainly has the ability to play 3-4 DE but I don't think he wants to so that will play into this as well. And actually, he's the 3-4 best fitting DL that they have. They don't have anyone big enough to play NT and K Williams and Dareus are not fast enough to be ideal DEs, IMO. That would mean starting over with the DL basically.
  17. Maybe he should start getting fitted for his gold jacket in the offseason.
  18. When the Bills switch defenses again in another year he will be right back on top, so might as well try and keep him.
  19. At this point I would have more confidence in Chan Gailey or Dick Jauron than Rex Ryan.
  20. No. The Bills are going to blow it up in the off season.
  21. The Bills haven't made the playoffs in 15 years. The players on their team are not very good. How good can their cast offs possibly be?
  22. Here is a report on the NFLs most recent information on how football affects the brains of retirees: http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/11513442/data-estimates-3-10-nfl-retirees-face-cognitive-woes This is from the league, mind you NOT players or families.
  23. CTE rate in the general population for men under 75 is 5%. As opposed to 96% for the above tested players.
  24. So the fact that 87 out of the 91 NFL players tested to date had CTE doesn't concern you?
  25. Taylor good: deep ball accuracy; poise; mobility Taylor adequate: overall accuracy; arm strength Taylor needs work: making quick reads and throwing on time; pocket awareness. If Taylor was a rookie, I'd say that he looked very promising. However, he is a five year vet so my optimism is tempered somewhat. I know that he hasn't played much so maybe there is still room for growth but how much remains to be seen. I think his pocket awareness should improve with more game experience (if he doesn't get killed first), but I wonder about his ability to make quick reads and throw short & intermediate routes on time. That is something that he really should have learned by now if he's ever going to get it.
