  1. OMG, you guys are hilarious. A team cuts the oldest RB in the league and get KILLED FOR IT. Freddie was not our Number two this year, and he barely was last year. GD, we had a season where the best game was 71 yards. Get over it. Doug Whaley has assembled one of the best rosters and coaching staffs in the league. give them a chance. I teared up at the news last Monday, so it is not as if he was not my favorite player, he was, but You fanatics are bordering on 'Tebow Fan' level of ridiculousness.
  2. There is no way they don't do everything they can if he shows himself to be worthy. I don't mean this critically, but I don't even understand the question. 20 years they have been searching for a QB, and you think there is even a smidgen of a chance they would not resign him if he plays well. I don't. And as far as how, with money tied up every where else? You cut some good defensive players to make room.
  3. OK then, you got me. You posted your definition as I was typing. You ARE smarter than us! You chose- "acts independently and wayward from the usual group" I chose- "Operating outside normal or desirable controls" at best. (yes, i also gave an 'at worst' option) You are the one struggling if you don't see the similarities in our chosen definitions. Beyond that, DW did not act independently, nor did he operate outside of normal controls. Hence, TG rogue article was total BS. so he is a fiction writer too?
  4. Now I get NYCBill's comments about you in his thank you thread. Sorry that not all of us are on the same intellectual level as you and the genius TG. Because I am a mouth breathing moron, I though Rogue was just a beer. When the story broke, I thought DW bought FJ some Dead Guy Ale in order to help FJ drown his sorrows. So when you told me it was my responsibility to learn the language, I did! you may need a refresher course yourself: rogue Also found in: Legal, Acronyms, Idioms, Encyclopedia, Wikipedia. rogue (rōg) n. 1. An unprincipled, deceitful, and unreliable person; a scoundrel or rascal. 2. One who is playfully mischievous; a scamp. 3. A wandering beggar; a vagrant. 4. A vicious and solitary animal, especially an elephant that has separated itself from its herd. 5. An organism, especially a plant, that shows an undesirable variation from a standard. adj. 1. Vicious and solitary. Used of an animal, especially an elephant. 2. Large, destructive, and anomalous or unpredictable: rogue tornado. 3. Operating outside normal or desirable controls At best TG was using the adjective to describe DW 'Operating outside normal or desirable controls' which was not true. At worst, he was referring to DW the person as 'An unprincipled, deceitful, and unreliable person; a scoundrel or rascal.' So, Mr. Smarty pants, which is it? TG is a hack, an it IS a shame that Wowrow and others jumped on this garbage barge of a story, because for a time before Fairburn came and Curucci came back, Wowrow was it for me and unbiased Bills coverage. Dude, in your first post you took a personal shot at eball, sooo, guess that makes you a swell guy too?
  5. the problem with this is mostly Timmah's wording. He took any possibility of any other truth away by saying "the Bills will remain unified in public" comment. There is nothing Whaley can do, but take the BS idiot fans like firechan, who btw is a total troll, or negativo spew. I cried a little when Fred got cut, but get real, he was both under rated by the national media and over rated by us. Look at his numbers. outside of 2009, he was an over achieving, average back, and we were a bad football team.
  6. As an avid but mostly quiet EJ supporter this summer, I am ok with this move. That said, I was a Tyrod doubter, and have been pleasantly surprised. I am not eating my crow till he starts facing teams and winning a second time or we clinch a playoff spot. I still believe EJ has a future, and we might as well cut Meh, as the other two already play above his ceiling.
  7. On this sad day, I can not help but agree. This is an important topic, and it sucks to have a good topic thread started quickly & in a half assed way. I feel the same way when people butcher colloquialisms like "EJ sees walls writing" HUH? Walls can write? Also, hate picking on posters, as I am not perfect, but some things just get to me a little more on the day your favorite team parts ways with your favorite player.
  8. HHHMMM...I am uber liberal, work in inner city school, hate code words and call people on it all the time. Pretend you don't see race and lets go over the list:allegedly took $20 from a woman in a bar, Hit and run, drugs and guns. I don't think Lynch, at least then, is the perfect example for the misplaced use of the term "Thug." Furthermore, he was regularly outplayed by Fred Jackson, and now he is top 3. He was not giving his all. I do not miss him, and I do not regret trading him. I also am happy for him, and think he should have been given the ball in the Superbowl. Being a victim should not be on the list
  9. That could be. The other guy was new, and maybe did not contribute much else. Thanks for not taking my question as a personal attack, as it wasn't. I may have only a couple hundred posts, but i do have a 100,000 views, and I normally get why a guy is getting flamed, but I did not get why that guy did.
  10. Cool, and not trying to be a douche, just legitimately don't get the differing reactions.
  11. UUUMMM there is a link to another Bills related site at the bottom of the OP...
  12. Question for the commenters, respectfully. What is the difference between this guys post with a link, that the one last week that got flamed? Is it that he posted the content, with the link at the bottom? I thought the guy last week was getting unfair backlash from posting his link/article.
  13. People criticizing Watkins for these innocuous comments must not remember being in their early 20's. I said and did some dumb things in my 20's. I still do. But hey, maybe y'all are quire boys.
  14. Tebowmaniacs = Tyrodmaniacs Two QB's on two teams without an entrenched starter, with a combined 10% chance of starting on opening day, based solely on the eclecticism of their respective coaches. But their fans think they are the next Kurt Warner or who??? But I will be flamed by both in 3,2,1..
  15. 1. Bills 2. Cubs(happy to see I'm not the only one who suffers through both lovable looser seasons a year) 3. Sabres 4. VCU 5. NASCAR 6. 'Cuse 7. A budding interest in the Blazers and Timbers Shaka had to make the leap. I don't really get Texas, other than the lack of pressure compared with going home to Illinois, or an ACC job, but it was proving tough to match the 2011 run at VCU. I am proud to have been there for three of his years. It made going to VCU a little more fun...minus the increased parking fees to help pay his salary.
  16. The "Meat Draft" was the best show these two numb skulls have done in their 10,000 plus shows. And how has nobody brought up the comical Tropical Heating and Cooling commercials? It literally is a Saturday night live skit...next time its on, close your eyes and imagine Andy Samberg and Bobby Moinahan in hula skirts mouthing the words.
  17. As a 19 year old that frequented the ballet across the border, I literally bumped into Bruce Smith, who was backing up to line up a shot for a game of pool he was playing-against Thomas Smith. I payed no mind and continued to the bathroom. It was not until I came out that I noticed that the large dude that stepped on my foot was Bruce Smith! He was a regular, and we would see hem in a corner with a group of dancers often. I also went to a Bills charity basketball game at RIT, or UofR and got like a dozen Bills autographs, Tally, Smith, Bentley, Hull, etc. all on a Bills pennant. Celtics hall of famer JoJo White was there also, and my dad encouraged me to approach him on the bench to ask for his autograph, and the dude stopped just short of shouting me down for having the nerve to talk to him while the game was happening.
  18. Every time i read disparaging remarks about Ralph, this is exactly what I think. He had outdated philosophies on how to run a football organization, we can mostly agree on that, but the "Ralph is cheap" crowd takes it a bit far too often. The man made virtually all of his money from the football, even though his trucking company gave him the wealth to purchase the team, and he gave back the entire time. He also refused to move the team to greener pastures and included language in his will that made moving the team difficult. We are lucky to have a guy like Pegula owning our teams and investing so thoroughly in the community, but that should not take away from the good deeds of the former owners.
  19. This Topic. After an election some time this millennium, I was reminded by a neighbor that "half of all Americans are dumber than the average American." Any one who wants anything to do with Trump on any level other than watching one of his televised train wrecks, is below the median. And the only redeaming quality to any of his television programing is the occasional glimpse of a celebrity with a genuine human side. It is never Trump. If you yearn to visit a Trump Resort... If you shop for his outsources goods... If you think he is a good leader... If he were the owner...
  20. Y'all are OG's, reaching hard for Da'Puns. For real though, you're reaching so hard, you thought Arron Maybin was taken too low. As for the poor sarcastic posts in this thread, your salty tongue lashing is next.
  21. Agreed, but I was merely debunking the theory of Homie D that those folks did not have amazing coaches. They go hand in hand, but most of those players had coaches that had repeated success with different players. Kelly's coaches might have the weakest resume...
  22. First, not all teams have QB coaches, especially in the '80's so your question is a bit too specific. Probably on purpose, cause the answer would unquestionably be yes, all of those QB's you listed had legendary coaches and coordinators.
  23. Lets get real, is this an opinion or a fact you can substantiate? You Ralph bashers are pathetic. Disagree with how he ran the team, but the man died and left the vast majority of his money to two poor cities, in addition to having a lease and language in his will that made it difficult for the team to be moved. Substantiate your claim or get a life. Respectfully.
  24. I get the desire for TT, but put me in the camp of the doubters. When I lived in Virginia, I was beat over the head by the media with this kid and his perpetual upside, only to never see it realized. Ever. A play here, or and early upset win over a powerhouse there mean nothing when you can't beat a 1AA defense the following week. An enigma wrapped in Under Armour. The only tape on Taylor is against college kids and late camp cuts. That tells me most of what I need to know. It is more likely the coaching staff is talking him up to increase competition, than them thinking he has a legit chance to start. I will happily eat a plate of crow if I am wrong, served Buffalo style, of course.
  25. Zero decisions. Some opinions- Richie is fat, some facts-Kenny Chesney sucks, but no decisions.
