  1. Exactly. Fool me once... It is what hell would be for me Well that depends on whether or not he struck anyone with the frozen meat pucks.
  2. Sadly, each of the most recent QB changes were pretty clear cut, save the late season KO slump. Our QB play has been beyond putrid, but the chain was clear; JP<Trent<Fitz. EJ definitely had more skills and upside than Fitz, but has yet to realize that potential. LO effing L. I knew you crazies were out their. This topic has officially jumped the shark.
  3. I get it, I love Freddy too, and I wish he were the peter pan of football. But More than likely, he is more like every other back in the league ever, than not. He will fall off and fall off quickly. As far as coaching, sure, if he wants too. But we cannot project our personal feelings upon the people that make all of these decisions, ie;Doug, Rex, and Fred. And I thought I was a hopeless optimist.
  4. Hell yes! Flutie, in Buffalo, was a ****ty teammate, and grossly over rated. Like Mike Vick. I really thought this was the resurrection of the last "Is the Flutie curse over?" thread...
  5. He caught the most passes and yards of his career, by a large margin. To me, the best and most consistent runner was Dixon.
  6. Fred Jackson is my favorite Bills player of all time because of how hard he fought for lousy teams and coaches with out ever complaining. That being said, the blind loyalty that borders on idolization of Freddy is hilarious. He was clearly a half step slower last year, as the oldest RB in the league, and they say that RB's production does not decline, it falls off a cliff. All reasoned people will agree that the cards are stacked against him making the team based on what happens between now and the end of training camp. I for one hope he hangs on to the number 4 spot. And Fred has been here for half of it, maybe the losing-est RB in Bills history? Who says he has what it takes to be a coach? Who says he wants to? LOL. GET YOUR NOSE OUT HIS JOCK!!!
  7. As a former Virginian who saw and listened to way too much hype about this guy, no thanks. This topic makes me LOL, actually. Ryan Fitzpatrick is his ceiling as a qb, continuously putting his team in a position for himself to let the masses down. I would be more shocked if he started, than if he got cut. Tuel sucking is the only hope he has.
  8. HUH? Evidence or edit. I have had been exposed to extensive coverage of him since his senior year in high school, and closely followed his career from NC State to Wisconsin, to Seattle. Literally. I lived in his home town till last year when I moved in to Seahawks territory. At no point has he displayed any Douchbaggery.
  9. This. Most of these people were probably the same ones that demonized Ralph for not leaving a succession plan. Reality was far different. Reality is, Fred may have a few carries left in him, but his best is long past, and it was evident last year to anyone that is looking at this impartially. Bilal Powell only ran for 150 on us once, his only game over 100 yards. How many times has Fred rushed for 150? or how many games over 100 in the past two seasons? Get a grip people!!! Please do not force the owner into this fray. let the football people make the decisions, and nobody really wants personnel decisions made by fans!
  10. Fred Jackson is the best Bills player this millennium. We may have had guys with more talent, but no one has matched his heart. He is my favorite Bills player, maybe ever. He deserves a chance to make this team, but I fully expect him to get cut based on merit. One can only be the the oldest RB in the league for so long. One can only beat the odds so many times before the odds beat you, and has been making the odds his B!/@# for nearly a decade. Smart money is on Fred not being on an active roster week one next season.
  11. No, dude, they fell apart three seasons ago, and yes, tanked for the last two. Well documented, and also a proven method for stock piling talent, and winning cups. You can not like the plan, but it was intentional. Furthermore the advisers brought in to either organization are there not to run the team, but to advise the owners, who are new to both sports, and consult with the front office. What is the big effing deal if a man wants to have an adviser/consultant? Is everything ok at home Mr. Weo? You cannot possibly look at everyday life with such a negative skew... I challenge you to find one move the Pegulas have made that you like, and post about it. JUST ONE. I think this is probably closer to correct than most theories I have read.
  12. I have long felt the Bills should have been spending more on their coaches. It always seemed the opposite side of the ball struggled in regards to the head coaches offensive or defensive mind set. Jauron was firing OC's mid training camp and replacing him with dudes 3 years removed from the radio booth. Gaily hired a first time NFL DC, that he held on to for one too many years, and replaced him with a washed up Wannstedt that clearly mailed in his performance that year. Then, Marrone finally changed the pattern by bringing in Pettine. But the fail here was that the entire offensive staff had exactly zero years calling plays in the NFL. I was reserved in my reaction to the Rex hire to see how it all shook out. I think we are Lucky to have Pegula. We have the best staff we have had in years, on paper. Maybe ever. Maybe the best staff, on paper, in the NFL. IF we keep Hacket, we will have Three experienced Play callers on the staff, a conference championship game defensive minded HC, with a stacked D to work with. We also have a alleged QB guru, but that can be argued. I hope they throw all ideas and resources at the two guard and two QB positions...then worry about the RB and TE. We could be good, sooner than latter. How crazy would that be?!?!?!
  13. It would make the OCD part of my mental illness sooooo much good if the OP or administrator would fix the title. "...A Ford's Field" is killing me. I mean no disrespect, but it is so wrong, It has an apostrophe! I thought to my self when this thread began, "there have been a hundred threads about stadium possibilities, this one too shall pass and that grammatical error will not matter." Wrong. It has been on the home page as a top topic for a F@#$ing week! This is all irrational, I know. But remember, I said no disrespect. but fix it. please. seriously.
  14. PTR, I agree with 75% of your posts, and count you as one of voices of reason(my reasoning, at least) but this makes me question my choices of who to follow...Blount is not disciplined enough to plan anything, he has proven this time and again. How many teams has he played for, thus far? He is best known for his poor decisions, not his diabolical plans.
  15. OK, how many leaf vacuums do they have? How many men do they have working? How many piles are there? Are you willing to pony up for more equipment and men? I think you are a classic case of 'likes to complain guy.' RECORD SNOW FALL!!! IN BUFFALO!!!!!! Get it?
  16. You summed these complaining jerks up nicely. I have lived in the south, New England, and the northwest. Most of the cities in this country is paralyzed by the mere threat of a trace of snow. 6 inches over night shuts down Richmond Virginia and Portland Oregon for a week, and boston and NY for a day or two. Buffalo? we may have a delay, but those roads are clear by 9am. 5 flipping feet, stranded cars every where, and these A-holes are complaining that the dudes risking their life so they can go buy a pack of smokes at NOCO, arent doing a good enough job. You were nice, my retort is a bit more crass. EEEEEFFFFFFFFFFFF YOU, BUDDY!!!
  17. Van Halen sucks as bad as the ref's, who suck as bad as the Bills Offense, who suck as bad as...
  18. More inventing things to complain/worry about, a Bills fan tradition since 1960! There were idiot fans who thought Frank Reich was better than Kelly...If things go well we make up $#!+ to worry about. If pessimism were exportable, WNY would be the Silicone Valley of negativity. Like others have said, you don't become a Billionaire being soft. Also, most of you who post these BS threads, also posted threads bashing Ralph for not having an air tight succession plan, which as it turned out, he did. While I have seen a people or two post a Mea Culpa's, I have not seen a reduction in uninformed, Foxnews style fear mongering posts. Pegula has owned the team for all of three weeks, the team has clearly operated more aggressively in the past two seasons, and although Marone has under whelmed thus far, lets chill out on the 'who's the next head coach' threads, it has only been 23 games, lets give him 32.
  19. After living in several states and two countries, I have come to the conclusion that the music scene in WNY largely sucks. I know many good musicians from WNY, but they did not want to play garbage covers, or mindless pop-rock. I mean, Rochester's most popular bands are cover bands, Uncle Plum and Nick And the Nice Guys. The people en mas just don't want to hear local original music for some reason. When the most known band from you scene is the Goo Goo Dolls, you know your $#!+ is weak. At least Rochester has Cab Calloway and Chuck Mangione
  20. The speculative nature of our fan base is slanted majorly in favor of doom. The report states clearly that the position being created is a consultant position. Not a new GM, and not a new president. And listening to WGR this morning I heard several callers starting their calls with, "I'm worried about the Pegulas doing..." getting too involved, making the same mistakes they made with the Sabres, etc. The Sabres were a bad team masquerading as a playoff team when the Pegulas bought them. They gave that regime one full season and parts of two others...then made swift changes. I think they made no mistakes in those actions. Give it a rest with the Nervous Nelly speculation. Let these owners screw it up before we invent the reasons they failed.
  21. aaahhhh good old WNY' paranoia. The things people create to worry about astounds me...
