  1. There's not a lot of WRs being forecast in the early rounds that I don't really like. So many good choices. Bean and scouts need to take the guy(s) they like the best. Time to get some talent on offense.
  2. Is there a chance we can get all these WRs coming out to play in Carolina for a few years so we can truly evaluate them?
  3. 150 more yards than what Zay just had as our leading WR... 10 years later in a pass happy NFL. Completely embarrassing production from that position. Bring TO back!
  4. Sometimes even the best WRs don't get separation on a given play, that is when you need a guy to go up and just get the ball which is what Harry does as good as anyone in this draft. This guy has a huge catch radius, is 6-4 with 4.5 speed, insane hands, great after the catch as well.. He just looks the part of a top outside WR. He is the opposite of Kelvin Benjamin. DK is also intriguing to me but carries more risk. I don't see McBeane risking it at 9.
  5. Moss had insane production at Marshall.. he was a freak on the field... What has Metcalf done besides run a nice 40? Agreed, it's one of those guys if we stay put.
  6. I don't think it's smart use of the 9th overall pick.. Reminds me of 2014 trading up for Watkins which was a huge mistake. We could of stayed at our pick and got OBJ in the first round. Or waited later in the draft to get wayyy better value picks in Cooks, Davante Adams, Allen Robinson, Jarvis Landry, etc. This WR draft may look like that year.
  7. We just had an oft-injured WR in Watkins. 9 has to be a sure thing. This is a deep class for WR and I think we can get really good talent in rounds 2-4. 3 red flags right off the bat: -Not a lot of production on college -A lot of games missed due to injury -Poor agility in tests
  8. This might be the best idea yet.. Regular season games have tons of missed calls, some bigger than others but you play the next week and usually they even out over the season.. In the playoffs, 1 missed call is huge and can end your season. Each team can challenge any call or non call 1 time in the playoff game - to cover anything from missed PI to an incorrect roughing the passer etc. They keep their regular challenges of was it a fumble, catch, etc. Wouldn't drastically change much aside from a few minutes for possibly an extra challenge.
  9. Even Pegula himself wanted Mahomes.. along with a lot of people on this very board and myself.. He had that IT factor that jumped out at you if you watched him play. And obviously Andy Reid liked him so much to trade up to get him. Unless Allen goes into the Hall of Fame, this is going to get brought up forever.
  10. Whaley wasn't just a scout, he was the GM... no reason he shouldn't of been fired once McDermott was brought in in January or even once the season ended. There was over 3 1/2 months before the draft.. everyone knew we needed a QB, he didn't have to waste a whole year to see that. Team culture changes when you win, it wouldn't of ruined anybody who wasn't strong enough anyway. We had way more offensive talent that year anyway for a rookie QB. Way better than what we had this year especially on the line. The pecking order has McDermott at the top anyways. This is his team.
  11. Why did they even have Whaley involved as a lame duck, if his presence would prevent them from taking a Franchise QB when they were desperate for one? Makes no sense.
  12. What about avg lost yards on those? It seems when McCoy dances and loses yardage its -3, -5 yards. Ivory maybe -1, -2... But it seemed to happen way more with McCoy watching this season so I guess that is surprising still.
  13. He looked like he was peaking during that presser. My lord Gase... take it easy over there.
  14. FA WRs are very meh this year. I like Adam Humphries though.
  15. I'd prefer guys that can actually play the position but I get your point. Any good outside WR should be able to go up and get the ball.
  16. Syracuse just has the worst looking offense I've seen, what is there identity? Take turns going 1 on 1 which is the easiest thing in the world to defend. You could see they had more athletes than UB but UB knew what to do on offense and where to attack and move the ball around. SU looks like 5 guys at the local YMCA..
  17. The more I play, the more I realize it's 85-90% luck. Maybe 95%...
  18. Buffalo loves 30+ year old running backs. Every other team finds and starts gems in the mid and late rounds of the draft, why don't we look there for the future? Shady is not it, i'd argue Ivory has been more effective this year than him.
