  1. Who is saying that he'll compete for the WR2 spot? Maybe 1 or 2 people?
  2. Hey now, I said I'd do it in a heartbeat
  3. I'll always appreciate how hard he worked and that he kept a good attitude. Too bad he simply wasn't an NFL QB. Best of luck to you, EJ.
  4. What are you talking about? Can you give even one example that supports this idea of yours?
  5. I don't know that anyone is making Tyrod out to be more than a fundamentally-limited player. I do think, however, that some folks believe that the team can be more than a playoff contender with him as the QB. I'm not sure I'm one of them, but the fact that the offense was 7th in points scored with him at QB does lend some credence to that idea.
  6. Nah--keep 9 OLmen 5 starters, 2 game day backups, 2 inactives
  7. That's what Jacksonville did this year against Buffalo...the result was a 75-yard TD run by Shady, and 2 TDs set up by bombs to Watkins (1 completion, 1 DPI).
  8. The obvious counter argument is this: if it's just that McCoy is so great, then why did both Gillislee and K. Williams average over 5 YPC?
  9. I like you, and think you're a good poster; the above seems abnormally short-sighted for you. Raw data vs. data with context is an argument that can always be put forward. If we simplify the discussion to only a fact-based argument, then what we have is an offense that finished 10th in points scored (7th in weeks where Taylor was at the helm) and 16th in yards from scrimmage. Largely bolstered by the run, the passing offense did enough to produce what was, by any metric, a total offense that was in the top 1/2-1/3 of the NFL. IMO, the discussion begins there.
  10. Actually, it's not that I "tried, but"...I actually did quantify it. If you don't accept it based upon the sample size, that's fine, but call it like it is: the data reflect that the run game was a half-yard-per-carry better with Taylor in the game than without him in 2015.
  11. Adam Caplan‏Verified account @caplannfl Follow More #Bills are matching RFA offer from Rams for OL Ryan Groy, source told ESPN.
  12. Um, what? I don't want to jump to conclusions, but this opinion, combined with your overly negative post in the Holmes thread, has me leery of your level of reason.
  13. I think this is, perhaps, a bit extreme. He wouldn't be a lock to make the roster, but the likelihood is that he'd be in the mix for the 3/4/5 roles alongside Powell, Brown, and Listenbee.
  14. So the trade would effectively be Butler and the 103rd pick to NE for Cooks and the 118th pick
  15. I wasn't hot on either Carr or Claiborne. Shead, Alterraun Verner, or Sam Shields are the guys on my list.
  16. Actually, I feel okay about Cyrus at LT (provided that he's fully healthy)
  17. That's because Cunningham isn't anywhere near as explosive as Collins was; close in the COD drills though... Cunningham - 15 reps, 35" vert, 10'5" broad, 4.67 sec 40, 7.03 sec 3-cone, 4.29 sec 20s Collins - 19 reps, 41.5" vert, 11'7" broad, 4.64 sec 40, 7.10 sec 3-cone, 4.32 sec 20s
  18. Nah...go get someone that can be more than a decent space-eater. I'm not a Poe guy; I think he's somewhat overrated. Since he was drafted in 2012, the Chiefs have finished 23rd, 24th, 30th, 16th, and 20th in the NFL in YPC, which tells me that--as a NT--he's clearly not any type of dominating force against the run. Now, that can be mitigated if he's a good interior pass rusher, but 13 career sacks in 5 seasons (6 of which came in an 8-game stretch in 2014) isn't inspiring either. Good player. Not a guy I want to pay serious money; I'd rather pick up a Javon Hargrave type in the mid rounds of the draft (then again, I'm utterly pompous with regard to what I feel a GM's ability should be in finding talent deep in the draft)
  19. I said this in the Shoutbox as well, but I'll give you guys a name to remember for Buffalo on draft day: Fabian Moreau from UCLA. He's a Whaley guy with the height/weight/speed, and PERFECT fit for McDermott's scheme (Cover-3 and press-man guy that can tackle)
  20. My boy Charmeachealle Moore put up some great numbers: 22 bench reps, 34" vertical, 10' broad jump at 230 lbs--I'll continue to champion him as this year's Elandon Roberts
  21. I think Mike Williams is somewhere between a 15 and 20 pick
  22. Reminds me of the Frank Clark situation from 2015--same school even. Of course, Clark ended up going at the end of R2, which is where I have Lewis going.
  23. I like Carr as a player, but I don't see it as a great fit. He's much better off in a press-man scheme IMO. Shead is a bit longer, and as a former safety, is a sound tackler. I wouldn't mind this pickup at all. If he thought that, they would've tendered him IMO. Yes.
  24. Pre-draft visits to OBD are definitely worth watching. The last 2 years have been a departure from the norm, where neither Darby nor Shaq had visited, so that also adds a layer of intrigue.
