  1. That's because his contract value isn't available yet
  2. Last of the Mohicans The Raid The Usual Suspects The Prestige 12 Angry Men
  3. Pre-injury Sidney Jones was by CB1 in this draft. I can't go all-in on a guy with an Achilles injury--the RTP rate (return to previous performance rate) for Achilles injuries is less than 70%--prior to Round 3 in a draft as strong at the CB position as this one.
  4. If this dude falls to round 3, I'll back his selection with no compunction.
  5. A Kevin King type IMO, though as I've said I don't like King as much as I want to...
  6. Moreau is the perfect fit for this defense, and as a height/speed guy, is exactly what Whaley looks for in his prospects. If he's on the board in round 2, I'll be shocked if he's not the pick.
  7. Thread title stated "after round 2"...Jones is a near lock to be a top-60 pick IMO
  8. Want - Mahomes Don't want - any RB Dark horse - Reddick Think - John Ross
  9. He won't start right away, but my boy Jayon Brown from UCLA will carve out a role as a coverage specialist in sub packages a la DeVondre Campbell.
  10. How about this one? http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/matthew-stafford?id=79860
  11. That's the whole point: if you have "a guy", then you don't risk missing out on him by trading down. Nobody said that. We are saying that if you feel that a guy is franchise QB material, and you don't have one (or even sometimes if you do), then that guy should be your pick; no exceptions.
  12. Silly me; I could've sworn that NO won a Super Bowl with that QB. I could also swear that SD has been to the playoffs with Rivers more times in the last decade than the number of times this team has had a winning season in 15 years
  13. Suppose the team's favorite QB is Mahomes, and they have him ranked as the 20th player on their board. They figure it's smart business to acquire more picks, so they drop back to, say, 18th, figuring that he'll still be available. Now suppose that they aren't alone in having Mahomes as their QB1, and a team like Arizona takes him at 13 to groom behind Palmer. That's a bad day at the office--losing out on your preferred option in the name of garnering more picks. A waste? Get the right QB and the remainder of the "holes" on this team will matter a whole lot less. Drafting to fill holes is how teams end up reaching.
  14. Actually, we don't really differ on this...I simply mean that I'd always be looking for a QB to draft if I'm not sold on the ones that I have. I agree that there's no value to taking a guy simply to satisfy a self-imposed requirement
  15. No idea, but Mahomes had been my QB1 since June.
  16. Not really. 2013 and 2014 are both proving to be lousy QB drafts, and the jury is seriously out on 2016 thus far. I'll never understand why some folks WOULDN'T draft a QB every year if you don't have a franchise guy.
  17. If you like a QB enough to draft him in the 1st, then take him at 10.
  18. Sammy Watkins' career numbers through 3 seasons are nearly identical to Julio's over his first 3 seasons, and with far inferior QB play. There's no accounting for trade value, but to say he hasn't played well is inaccurate
  19. Thanks Kirby's response was well-couched though--he said that the passing game is leaving plays on the field and needs to improve. Far cry from what old school is saying
