  1. Stopped reading right there; he's started 37 of a possible 48 games as a pro. I don't know what definition of "never" you're using, but being available 77% of the time does not qualify as "never" by any definition I've seen. I will officially be incensed if they take Peppers at #10 overall. I don't even have a 1st round grade on the guy.
  2. I agree that drafting for need is ill-advised, and that they should take someone they believe will be an elite player. I'm not as high on Howard as others are, but if they take him, they better put him to good use. They've failed to do so with Sammy, and it's hurt the team. Agreed.
  3. I find that odd...Ramon Humber has 14 starts at LB over the last 4 years, while Seymour has played all of 284 snaps at corner.
  4. I just don't know how anyone can be comfortable with Seymour at corner based on 200 snaps last year. LB is probably the weakest position, but corner (and QB for that matter) is far more important IMO.
  5. He also got a starting slot corner at the end
  6. I definitely wouldn't be opposed to grabbing a day 3 TE
  7. Maybe your barometer for a 6'7", 280 lb guy is off a bit. His strength was best amongst TEs, his 3-cone was close to 7.0, and his shot shuttle was below Njoku's
  8. My surprise 1st round grades: Adam Shaheen Chidobe Awuzie Josh Jones
  9. I told you: going by his legal alias allows him to own both teams. As long as the NFL doesn't invoke the nuclear option and change the rules on us, then they can't do anything to usurp El Pegual's power.
  10. Yep...Houston's cupboard is bare. For a team that is getting Watt back, already had a very good defense, and is set offensive at seemingly every other position, it makes them a prime contender to make an aggressive move to get a potential franchise signal-caller in the fold.
  11. Into the 20's...Houston would be the target IMO.
  12. Yeah, Gunner and I share that opinion on King.
  13. Cross-check that list with guys that can and do tackle, and here's who you come up with: Marlon Humphrey Cordrea Tankersly Quincy Wilson Kevin King Tre' White Rasul Douglas Jeremy Clark
  14. Have you cross-checked which posters are confused? I think you'll find a commonality among them... Not to generalize, of course, but it's obvious that some folks were not involved in the discussions about how the NFL works.
  15. Correct. Nobody seems to answer this, despite many of us asking many times. The only answers I get are "will you spend more?" and "I won't spend more". I keep saying it: there's a million people in Erie County alone; add in Rochester Metropolitan area and Southern Ontario and you're talking at least 3 million people. To think that there aren't 65k people (approx 2%) that would shell out the money to go to the games on a regular basis is naive IMO.
  16. Well, you're wrong. Let's keep this as simple as possible: you actually believe that a guy is going to spend close to $2B on sports teams, and an additional $500M on development of the downtown area, just to turn around and vacate the area? This is without considering that he'd have to sell the hockey team (probably at a loss) and pay hundreds of millions of dollars in relocation fees, plus a cool billion on a new stadium. That would be one of the all-time worst business decisions in the history of business decisions. And it's not going to happen. Period. Also, if we're talking about markets, why hasn't Green Bay moved?
  17. Wow...not a good look for my boy Howard Wilson... "Howard Wilson, who failed to improve upon his combine 40, refused to participate in the workout drills. Every single healthy prospect does the drills, yet Wilson apparently thought he was above that. Scouts urged him to workout, but he wouldn't change his mind. This is definitely going to hurt his draft stock. "
  18. I just looked, and I have 18 corners and 11 safeties.
  19. Thanks for chiming in on this...your guy was dead-on about New Era.
  20. WEO, it's $300 TOTAL--not $300/year $30/year over 10 years Compared to the already outrageous types of taxes we pay, it's a drop in the bucket. Maybe we should be looking at more than just this opportunity to reduce tax burdens on all NYS citizens...though I suppose that's a discussion for another forum
  21. Here's my issue: suppose the staff has a QB that they believe in, and they turn out to be right--in that knowledge, do you still want them to trade back? I definitely do not. The only way I trade back is if I don't think any of the QBs are franchise guys, and even then I would need to feel really good about the offer.
  22. And Lorenzo Alexander. And Mike Gillislee And Ryan Groy And Richie Incognito And...well...it's probably easier to just say that you're wrong.
  23. I'm not trying to upset you, but I think you might want to prepare yourself for this eventuality. I keep having a really bad feeling that Arizona is going to take Mahomes at 13...not sure why.
  24. I don't mean this in a snarky way, but if that's the case, then what's your plan for the future of the QB position? I've argued that it's paramount to identify your guy and take your shot. For as much as the EJ pick failed, it was absolutely the right approach. They didn't have a franchise hopeful at the QB position, so they identified the guy that they thought had the best chance and took him. I'd have zero issue if they do it again.
  25. Relax there chief--you asked why all the fuss over Mahomes. My answer is that I've been watching the kid for a long time and think he can be a franchise QB. Very few of us on this board are slaves to the talking heads...that was the point.
