  1. I've seen some of Grover Stewart--he truly is a freak. He's country strong, especially his upper body. He's got a surprising amount interior of pass rush ability for such a big guy. No technique whatsoever though--he's got a ton of lower-body mechanical work to do, and his pad level is shoddy at best. He's an easy fit as a situational pass rusher as a rookie, and if a solid DL coach (like a Jim Washburn) can get his hands on him, he could become a Damon Harrison-type NT. The others I have to do more digging into, but I've heard really good things about Glen Antoine. He's a JuCo transfer who has the ideal build for a NT--short, squatty, serious bubble, and very solid athlete. I've seen very little of his tape though...only highlights. No idea on Ricard...not on my radar in any way/shape/form.
  2. If you don't see this guy taking a beating, then you aren't paying attention. Believe me, we're equal-opportunity smackdownians
  3. Careful...I was told by another poster that I should never point this out.
  4. Be careful of that... http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/index.php?app=forums&module=extras&section=boardrules "Hard Rules: Posts that contain the following material will not be tolerated and will be removed promptly (and depending on the nature of the offense - your ISP may be notified of these violations): Do NOT post: Advertisements (We sell ad space to anyone who wants to get their website noticed). Obscene material Links to obscene material Foul language Personal or harassing threats Libelous or defamatory information Spam Messages Personal "crusades" (posting the same information/opinion in an excessively repetitive manner. We want posters to share opinions not bludgeon others to death with them.)" Makes sense on Mahomes; I just can't get there with Kizer. I guess I'll just repeat my evaluation of him, which sums it up for me: He does some critical things really well: his timing passes are excellent, his ability to scan the field is solid, and he’s got good power in his throws. There are also some real red flags for me in that he can’t seem to take a snap from under center, and his accuracy seems to drop precipitously beyond 20 yards. Moreover, I don’t like that he seems to go long stretches without challenging the deep secondary, and he also doesn’t appear to work the boundary down the field. Right now, he’s a R2 guy for me, but I think there will be a team that drools over his measurables enough to take him much higher than that.
  5. When I managed a restaurant, we didn't have much of an issue. However, we did kindly ask folks to excuse themselves from the table before placing/accepting a phone call. So, in other words, you actually parent your child? Seriously though, IMO, this is the correct approach. Give the kids a chance to develop table manners and to conduct themselves appropriately in public, while not being afraid to yank them outta there if it doesn't go well.
  6. 1) how many folks are actually "non believers" with regard to Mahomes? You're in an echo-chamber here dude. 2) stop spamming the board with your opinion--we get it.
  7. You should seriously keep posting this same rant...it gets more effective each time. He's still my QB1...though I do believe that he's probably 3rd in terms of pro-readiness.
  8. Also, for the record, I did a quick search, and the earliest I see any mention of Mahomes from you is mid-February...so "for months" seems like quite the exaggeration Hey, in all seriousness, the more folks that jump on the Mahomes bandwagon that Blokes and I have been driving since June, the better.
  9. As a parent of twin 4-year-olds, I have absolutely no problem with this... We are proud that our children behave well-enough and have good enough table manners that we feel comfortable taking them to any restaurant (including fine-dining establishments), but a business has the right to set the rules.
  10. The 1%? Not even close. I can absolutely guarantee you that not a single one of the folks in my group of 20+ year season ticket holders are in the top 1% (or even in the top 10%) income bracket in WNY...and every single one of us could afford to pay the PSL, the increased ticket prices, parking, etc. I'm not saying that to sound uppity, so I truly hope it does not come off that way. It's merely a statement that there's absolutely no reason to suspect that they couldn't quite easily fill a 65k seat stadium with relative ease as long as the product is worth watching live.
  11. Check the 2017 draft prospects thread that started last June. Where were you back then?
  12. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/03/30/report-sharrif-floyd-knee-injury-could-be-career-ending/ Crazy...
  13. If a team is looking for a NT, there are two that have exceptional measurables: Albany's Grover Stewart goes a cool 340 lbs, benches 30+ reps, and touched 26" in the vertical Idaho's Glen Antoine is possibly an ever greater freak, as he pushed up 37 reps and touched 31" in the vertical...at 337 lbs!!!!
  14. Wow...I hadn't heard about this: Maine Underrated defensive line prospect Pat Ricard put on a show for scouts at the Maine pro day. He measured 6033 and 300 pounds, completed 33 reps on the bench and touched 33.5 inches in the vertical jump. He timed 5.00 in the 40 (including an amazing 10-yard split of 1.48s according to the APT report), 4.50s in the short shuttle and 7.50s in the three-cone.
  15. There were whispers a ways back that the Steelers liked him quite a bit. Not sure the status of that at this time though...
  16. Yep... http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/0ap3000000742686/Tyler-Eifert-somehow-hangs-on-after-huge-hit-for-21-yards He also lit up Gronk to break up a TD his rookie season: http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-videos/0ap2000000219168/Stephon-Gilmore-breaks-up-long-pass-to-Gronkowski
  17. You have definitely been consistent on Watson in general, and what you're saying wouldn't surprise me.
  18. The mutton chop at Keen's steakhouse in NYC is one of the finest cuts of meat I've ever tasted.
  19. Just reported this morning: http://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/football/news/saints-drew-brees-plans-to-play-at-least-a-few-more-years/
  20. We can definitely afford it...the tax load is actually quite low (a grand total of $300 per county resident, which would probably be broken out over a decade). From there, we're pulling from 3 million people in Buffalo/Rochester/Southern Ontario, so the odds that 65k of them (around 2%) can afford PSLs, tickets, parking, etc. are incredibly high.
  21. Here's the thought process with Watson: - I don't see SF going QB. I think with Solomon Thomas, Jamal Adams, Malik Hooker, and Marshon Lattimore on the board, there's too much elite defensive talent to pass. If they did take a QB, I think it would be Trubisky, because he fits what Shanahan likes to do. - Chicago could go Watson, but since they've got Glennon in the fold, it would make the most sense to me that they'd pick the guy with the elite measurables and try to groom him to start - Caldwell in Jax probably needs to win quickly, so adding a QB when they already have Bortles is likely a non-starter - Tennesse has Mariota - Jets are probably another team who's HC needs to win quickly, and having spent picks on Petty and Hackenberg, I figured they'd try to get an elite defensive playmaker at 6. Honestly, if there's a landing spot for Watson in the top 10, this is it IMO. - SD would most likely take one of the safeties over a QB - Carolina has Cam - Cincinnati has Dalton and would probably pass - Whaley has typically looked for bigger QBs, so if they chose to take one, it's likely either Kizer or Mahomes - NO is running out of time with Brees and continues to bleed on defense - Cleveland leans toward the local guy with Trubisky - Arizona takes the guy with the most upside in Mahomes Then I couldn't find a landing spot for Watson in any of Philly, Indy, Baltimore, Washington, Tennessee, Tampa Bay, Denver, Detroit, or Miami, and I also couldn't find a team that Houston obviously needed to jump to get Watson. The closest that could potentially qualify would be NYG at 23.
  22. Right now, QB-wise, I have: Kizer to Chicago at 3 Trubisky to Cleveland at 12 Mahomes to Arizona at 13 Watson to Houston at 25
  23. I told you before: feel free to carry on your conspiracy theory. I deal in facts, which means I'm done with you (at least on this topic--I suppose there's always the chance that, in another topic, you'll deal in reality).
