  1. That's not a serious response; that's a cop out (though admittedly it's a rather predictable one). Oh, and it might be prudent not to call someone else ignorant when you cannot manage to properly use the phrase "ad nauseum" Now if you don't mind, any type of reference to someone saying that passing yards don't matter would be appreciated.
  2. No, the topic is the worst 1st round picks that the team has ever made. The Bills have been a franchise for nearly 60 years, so you're ostensibly classifying everyone that's in the bottom 1/3 as the "worst", and I don't exactly think that that's the crux of the discussion. Moreover, does a guy with one very good season belong in the bottom 20?
  3. Serious question: can you show me a single post where someone says that passing yards don't matter at all? I've seen many that say that they'd like the passing yards to be more substantial, but that they're okay as long as the team keeps scoring like a top-10 offense.
  4. Do folks really not remember that CJ Spiller had a 1,200-yard season where he averaged 6.0 YPC, and added 43 receptions for 459 yards, and scored 8 TDs? To include him with the likes of Aaron Maybin and Tom Cousineau is sheer lunacy.
  5. Whether trading up for him was a good decision is entirely separate from whether or not he's a bad draft pick. You're right, he's a top 5 WR when he's on the field; no question. He actually played 8 games last year, though admittedly he couldn't move in the first 2.
  6. The footsie-wootsie that he played on for the final 9 games of 2015 and scorched most of the NFL? People sure do have their daggers.
  7. Yeah, but we both have more rushing yards in our respective Bills careers than Reggie Bush
  8. Has to be one of these two Spiller cannot possibly be the answer; he had a 1,000-yard season. Many others were utterly useless
  9. He's probably an undrafted free agent I would take him in R6
  10. I don't know...I'd have to get a bit more comfortable with him. I think, if he's healthy, he's probably a top-15 talent. I just don't know that he does any one thing exceptionally well--he seems like a prototype WR2 to me, and I'm not 100% sure that I want to spend a top-10 pick on that.
  11. Unless he blows scouts away with a private workout, I don't see Davis going in the top 9.
  12. I'm going to guess that--at worst--only Johnson counts as a CFA: "In order to qualify for the comp equation, a player must have been a true Unrestricted Free Agent whose contract had expired or was voided after the previous season (i.e., he cannot have been released by his old team); he must sign during the UFA signing period (which ended July 27 last year); if he signs after June 1[*], he must have been tendered a June 1 qualifying offer by his old team; his compensatory value or contract value must be above a specific minimum amount; and he cannot have been permanently released by his new team before a certain point in the season (which seems to be after Week 10) or, possibly, before getting a certain amount of playing time, unless he was claimed off waivers by another team." http://overthecap.com/the-basics-and-methodology-of-projecting-the-nfls-compensatory-draft-picks/ Most likely, none of them count.
  13. And I'd give Buffalo's 2014 roster the edge over Carolina's 2015...that's probably why each unit's performance dipped Neither of those comments reflects the talent on this roster right now.
  14. I would call Buffalo's defensive talent, from top-to-bottom, about on-par with Carolina. DL's are about even, though I think Buffalo has better pass rushers LB's are clearly better in Carolina by a sizeable margin DB's are probably close to a wash, but the presence of Darby and addition of Hyde has me leaning Buffalo
  15. Lotuleilei is not an elite talent, and I don't think I'd call Davis elite either, but Short and Kuechly for certain.
  16. Did you pay the royalties???
  17. That you can post these two statements back-to-back tells me that you have no idea what you're talking about...restructuring those three makes what is a very promising 2018 cap situation much less palatable.
  18. Used the ITP board and ignored guys that I was fairly certain would be gone...I have to say the ITP board was very realistic IMO: YOUR PICKS 1: R1P10 WR COREY DAVIS WESTERN MICHIGAN 2: R2P12 CB FABIAN MOREAU UCLA 3: R3P11 S JUSTIN EVANS TEXAS A&M 4: R5P12 LB JAYON BROWN UCLA 5: R5P27 CB BRENDAN LANGLEY LAMAR 6: R6P11 QB CHAD KELLY MISSISSIPPI
  19. I'm in between you guys on Thompson--I have him as a R3 guy. Great range and instincts...overly aggressive and very susceptible to PA fakes; also not my cup of tea as a tackler.
  20. No worries, I was fooled as well. Apparently my brain is already celebrating St. Patty's Day
  21. It's...a...trade. He doesn't get to choose where he goes; he gets to choose retirement over football. If a team is that worried about it, then they simply make it part of the trade terms; the compensation voids if he retires without playing a game. And again I cite McCoy as the example: he wasn't happy about coming here, and now he loves it. My bad...I didn't realize you were joking. Apologies.
  22. First off, if he's being traded, then he doesn't have a choice. He can play where he's traded or he can retire. Secondly, why wouldn't he consider playing here instead of retiring? McCoy didn't have the best reaction to coming here, yet he loves it here now. Third, have you called the Pegulas and told them that he won't consider it?
