  1. The problem, for me, is that the chosen priorities do not bode well for fielding a competitive roster.
  2. Honestly, this is the first FA period in a while where I don't understand the approach. I get not making splash signings, but there's volume and quality to be had that the team is simply choosing to pass on in favor of FBs, STs, and 7th-at-best OLman. Confusing to say the least.
  3. Yep...that 0.5 penalty per game he's averaging is a major boon for this franchise!
  4. I hope you're right... You're not...but hey, there's always a chance that he packs it in after getting his pay day.
  5. Yes, but it's not as though they weren't prepared for this...they drafted Jake Fisher and Cedric Ogbuehi in 2015, and they drafted Christian Westerman last year, so I'd expect all 3 will start for them this year.
  6. Generally, he's been bad everywhere.
  7. No, they won't. They'll just have to find a RT either in this year's draft or next year's draft.

  10. I actually wondered that myself...didn't Groy play some T at Wisconsin?
  11. And I would tell his agent that he's in the 2nd year of a 5-year contract, that he'll be moved back to LT next season, and to perhaps focus on one of his other clients that is at least somewhere closer than a half-decade away from his next shot at FA.
  12. This is hardly as complicated a situation as you're making it. It really means absolutely nothing whether Glenn plays RT or LT; the point you seem to be making is that your RT shouldn't ever be making more than your LT. That doesn't mean a thing on the field; what's important is getting your 2 best tackles on the field. Kouandjio clearly doesn't feel comfortable using his left leg as his push-off leg in pass protection, so he needs to play the left side to be effective. The point is really, really simple: if you can put together a solid 5 with the guys on your roster, do it. The bonus is that you don't have to go out and find a LT if/when Kouandjio gets LT money in FA next offseason--in fact, he'd probably bring a whopper of a compensatory pick. It also gives you an entire season to find a groom someone to take the RT job next year.
  13. Um, because it would get their best 5 on the field? Cyrus acquitted himself nicely at LT last year...if Glenn needs to move for a year because (a) he's capable of it and (b) it gets their two best tackles on the field, what's the big deal?
  14. Not at all. The guy is getting paid like a LT, so why on earth would he care about kicking to the other side for a year? That makes no sense.
  15. As I just said in the Shoutbox: I'm in the minority in that I didn't really want Klein, If I get to pick my MLB, then I'm trading a late-round pick to Philly for Mychal Kendricks
  16. It was $80/8, but in reality it was $64/7. His final 9 games as a Bill were unbelievable, but he didn't follow up very well in SF
  17. You can't even name a handful of plays out of the 50 you referred to, but you have time to take from your job to post in this thread? It's just easier to say that you aren't interested in backing up your opinion--and it's more honest.
  18. From an experience perspective, that's possible, but he's never played the boundary full-time, and is only 1 year younger than Gilmore.
  19. I doubt it...Schefter indicated he'd be staying in the AFC South. Also, if they pay that guy big money when he (a) wasn't even a boundary corner, and (b) has 1 season of solid play, I'll be very unhappy.
  20. Nope...he had his best game as a pro the very next game against SD. The idea that a concussion ruined him is a myth--it was a simple fact of opposing DCs taking away the few things he did well.
  21. If you have them, yes. That would bolster your opinion. Or, in the very least, name a handful...should be remarkably easy given that there were 50 according to you...then tell me why those few plays should marginalize an entire season of excellent statistical play, let alone 5 years worth of top-level corner play. You're cherry-picking at best. I'm viewing a 5-year career as a body of work.
  22. Adam Schefter‏Verified account @AdamSchefter 5m5 minutes ago More Barring any snags, Robert Woods intends to sign a 5-year, $39 million deal, including $15 million guaranteed, with Rams, per sources.
  23. "Always" as in, what, twice that you can remember in 2017? Your questioning his willingness to be physical is absolutely hilarious considering he separated his shoulder in 2016 diving shoulder-first into a RB. Also, this: And this: And this: http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-videos/0ap2000000219168/Stephon-Gilmore-breaks-up-long-pass-to-Gronkowski And...well...sometimes it's just easier to say you're wrong. Because, well, you're wrong. Like I said, it's ill-advised on my part. Nice to know...thanks
