  1. I'm not a big trade-down guy, especially when you're in the top 10 in a draft that is loaded with top-5 type talent at a position as critical as pass rusher (be it interior or EDGE). I'm of the opinion that the team has enough picks, and that what they really need is to stock the roster elite prospects whenever possible.
  2. IDL and EDGE are easily the best positions, but yes, I agree that the OT class isn't far behind. Which is great news for the Bills. They can stay at 9, grab an elite prospect at IDL or EDGE, let the rest of the first round fill in with IDL, EDGE, and skill-position players, and still feel really good about getting a potential starting-quality OT in round 2 if they want. Of course, knowing Beane, he'd probably use some of his 10 picks to move back into the end of round 1 to get an OT he really liked instead of waiting around.
  3. Elmo's and Caputi's They are the only places that fry, sauce, and then grill the wings. It makes them the perfect combination of saucy and crispy.
  4. Saffold could certainly re-sign. The guard that's almost certain to hit the market is Foster, and I think he'd be a great target for lesser money. The position I think will be the toughest to fill is center; have to figure Paradis re-signs in Denver, which means it's basically down to Morse as the only established starter on the market. I almost wonder if it wouldn't be a good idea to take a shot at a RFA like Boehm or Finney, knowing that Bodine would be the team's worst-case scenario as a starter. Overpay. Do it. In 2 years, it won't look like overpaying...plus, this team has very few (if any) players that will need big-money deals in the next 2 offseasons.
  5. I'm relieved to see that he didn't get serious money; that makes me think that the OG market won't be utterly absurd money-wise...and I'd be happier with any of Saffold, Spain, or Foster than I'd have been with Glowinski.
  6. Mario Williams and it ain't close. Nearly 40 sacks in 3 years pre-Rex. But Schobel was a good player
  7. Oh I agree. I just meant that we weren't talking about a big shift from a team that was 2018 Bears-like in their ability to score on defense to a team that doesn't score on D. Some great Ds aren't the scoring type. The Seattle teams weren't known for scoring on D, but they routinely finished near the top of the league in PPG allowed, sacks, and turnovers.
  8. I'm absolutely open to a pass rusher, but there's too many other good ones out there to toss big money at Ziggy. Just not consistent enough for me. If I'm going pass rusher in FA, I'm looking at Clowney, Lawrence, Graham, etc. That said, I think this is a great year to be drafting pass rushers in round 1 (interior or EDGE).
  9. Should we really be surprised that a 2nd year tackle regressed when the perennial pro bowl guard playing next to him left? Regardless, I've always felt that Dawkins was a decent tackle prospect and outstanding guard prospect, so if I can get a pro bowl LT and fill 2 needs I'm doing it all day
  10. I don't think it's a huge difference from 2017. From what I recall they had 2 defensive TDs and zero ST TDs
  11. OMG yes. Dawkins to LG and we can run left all day long
  12. The Bills don't need to save cap room. They could spend $70M in up front money and still have plenty to sign draft picks and operate their in-season roster with plenty of flexibility to acquire players via trade
  13. I have Daryl at $10M AAV. James may come it 0.5-1M more per
  14. Change the OT to Cajuste or my boy Tytus Howard and I'm all in, though I honestly believe that the teams in the top-15 that aren't taking QBs will kick themselves down the road if they don't pick from DL talent in round 1.
  15. Get to know Julian Love - CB/Notre Dame. Because I said so.
  16. I'd take Henry Jones over Gazoo any day
  17. I love that he's got my boy Tytus Howard on his list...he's my sleeper choice as a 1st round pick that most of America has never heard of
  18. I have no idea. Only thing that I can say is that through our experiences (which encompassed multiple losses over 2 years), we learned how enormously blessed we are for everything we have. It's weird, but it feels like if we can make it through the difficult times together, we gain perspective, and our gratitude increases. I have my own belief about that, but in general, I think bad things happen to the people that can learn from the experience, who will then be in a position to use what they've learned to help others. Or something
  19. Mrs Bandit and I went through the same thing before baby #3. It's horrible. Just one more name to add to the prayer list
  20. He's a good short-area route runner, but I think that the short-area stuff to Edelman and White isn't sustainable against press-man for a whole game provided that your offense is scoring points the way the Chiefs can score. You may be right, however, that they have plays in the tank. I'd be a lot more worried about Gronk if I didn't feel that KC's pass rush could keep NE in max protect fairly reliably.
  21. He can still operate an offense at an efficient clip. I'm always reminded of an early episode of Boston Legal when discussing 2018 Brady: --------------------------- Denny Crane: I’m still a good lawyer. Paul Lewiston: Yes. You are. You remember Muhammad Ali’s last fight? We had ringside seats. He lost so pathetically to Larry Holmes. We were so crushed. The tragedy that night, Denny, wasn’t that he couldn’t still box. He could. The tragedy was that he still thought he was Ali. You’re a good lawyer, my friend. You’re just not Denny Crane. --------------------------- The reality that many fans still don't see is this: It's not that Brady can't still play QB. He can. He's a good QB; he's just not Tom Brady anymore. And if you force him to beat you by loading up against the run and denying him the easy, underneath stuff, he can't beat you by himself anymore.
  22. Probably because Coach D took the job thinking he was working for McDaniels, and he wants the chance to know who he's going to work for
