  1. Josh Allen playing dodgeball would be must see TV but I suspect he comes up with a reason to opt out.
  2. If the Bills aren't in the Super Bowl, I think Josh would rather play golf that week.
  3. I agree with you. The streak is not nothing. I think about Andrew Luck and his early retirement. Seemed to be that he grew weary of the constant cycle of injury, pain, rehab and the effect it had on the quality of his life. I think about Brett Favre's 321 consecutive games and his addiction to pain medications that helped make it possible but also could have killed him. The NFL version of football is brutal to the human body which, paraphrasing Doug Whaley, it wasn't designed to play. I would not begrudge Josh one bit for taking pride in his streak because we have no clue what he has gone through to make his 120 consecutive starts so there is no reason to trivialize his not not wanting to just arbitrarily end it. He plays like he is indestructible but we know that can't be true.🤞
  4. voting ends days after the season. Results announced before Super Bowl.
  5. I don't care whether a TD is by running or passing but the NFL's passer rating formula cares. Total QBR is a better measure, imo, and they have been trading places at the top of that ranking all season long. Elo, DVOA whatever. I would expect Aaron Schatz to vote for Lamar though as that would be consistent with his lone vote for Josh last year.
  6. This is right. Prime Cam Newton did not last long and Josh will have many more seasons on par with that. They do similarly rare things but Josh is slightly to solidly better at almost all QB things.
  7. I picked the throw to Cook. Some QBs would need to come to more of a stop and square their hips to make that throw to even a stationary target. That lets the pursuing defender close and maybe affect the play. Josh makes that throw without slowing down, side arms it like a shortstop to first base but Cook is moving to the right and Josh hits him in his chest. Don't see many throws like that even attempted.
  8. Add ball security to the mix.
  9. No point to doing that unless they were to keep 3 QBs on the 53. No late round rookie is going to be Josh's primary backup, imo.
  10. Except if there is a strong prevailing wind and you want it for the fourth quarter.
  11. Rookie year @ Minnesota vibes.
  12. So many times a great player is capable of doing something that a defender can't anticipate. It was an overthrow for most all NFL WRs. A DB with eyes on the ball would not even read Jefferson getting a hand to it. It's like all those defenders taking bad angles on Josh and whiffing on the tackle. They misread the threat.
  13. Watch Mack Hollins on the play. Looks like he is calling a TD when Josh hits the 15.
  14. Both recent losses to the Bengals were more about their defense, imo.
  15. A classic from other years: Tua needs an "n" to make his name aquatic squish the Tuna fish Now an attempted rework: Tua needs an "h" to give his name more meaning Bills ballhawk Tuah
  16. Ok. Entering the draft as a premium talent and play well in your rookie NFL season in a major sports media market vs. being an under the radar, day 2 or 3 pick that makes the starting lineup in year 2 or 3. Which brings to mind the Mark Twain quote often used by Marv Levy:
  17. Sorry, but this is right up there with "the Bills need to lose more often to NFC teams" to improve their playoff seeding.
  18. I like how Josh slipped in the fact that he made the tackle after the interception. I saw you Josh and I bet you will point that out loudly in the film review too. Flashback to rookie year Josh Allen week 17 vs. the Dolphins. Josh had a 5 TD game, Kyle Williams got to catch a pass and Josh got fooled by a robber coverage for a pick 6 TD just before halftime, one of two for his career (can't remember the other one.) The thing about it was that Josh made the tackle attempt on that play with an all too serious karate chop at the ball. He does those moves in practices too and I think he will get one out at some point in his career or damage the defender trying, ala Jim Kelly. The fastest I ever saw Jim move was when he was chasing down an interception return.
  19. That's 5 road games out of their 8 played too.
  20. Gary Anderson was drafted by the Bills. He had played at Syracuse and I read a story somewhere, likely at TBD, that he had missed his preseason kicks on purpose to get the Bills to release him and then he could find his own career opportunity. That's a power move if true and it fits that agents often tell their clients that it is better to be a UDFA where you can pick the situation you think is best for your career even though being drafted is an ego boost.
  21. In a desperation move, Tyler should have his vision checked, ala Ricky Vaughn. I was developing astigmatism in my later teens and did not know it. Regular vision checks were not a thing then and maybe not now. I could hit fastballs again with corrected vision. Maybe Tyler is randomly missing the sweet spot between foot and ball.
  22. An official was standing over the ball waiting for a ready signal from the referee as the play clock expired. Shades of Rex Ryan Bills in Seattle.
  23. Nice. I am waiting for the day when Josh over with these. Over with what you might ask? Deez nuts are over Rated!
  24. I think this group of pass catchers will have a lower drop% and more RAC yards than any Josh has played with before. But, they will not get much credit for being better as there won't be any pushing for league wide accolades. Our world is conditioned to respect greatness and to connect it with stardom.
  25. Not likely an underhanded spiraling pass could look like an NFL punt. I've seen many high school games and many punts in them that looked like that throw.
