Toad's Place really isnt anything special, really. The 3 places I would recommend the most is Alpine Valley in East Troy, WI, Tower Theater in Upper Darby, PA (Philly), and Benaroya Hall in Seattle. Oh yeah, the Theater for the Performing Arts in Philly is an amazing place to see a show! I really want to go to the Gorge sometime

here is another shot of it. Strange the Pegulas would stamp a giant "Los Angeles" right outside the stadium. I wonder what that means -

I would love, love love for Buffalo to get an MLB team. Would require a multi-purpose retractable facility IMO. Also highly doubtful as long as the MLB caters to the big markets and the MLBPA. But man, talk about getting a ton of people downtown 80+ nights a Summer? As far as the Bills stadium, I would be fine if they just took Seattle's taco/burrito design and transplanted it here. Would be comfortable enough from the elements, yet outdoors. I really do not know what events an enclosed stadium would attract that an outdoor stadium will not. Best case is Pegula and Jacobs privately fund an outdoor stadium, ask the public for infastructure downtown, and with that, the public along with maybe a private developer builds a really nice convention center. -

Happy to see I was on the side that wanted him. Reading that brought me back to the moment I was convinced we needed this guy. The look on his face walking to the middle of the field to shake Belichick's hand was something else. He looked like he would rather be dead than congratulate BB in beating him. -
To me, the Roman hire puts all this over the top and makes me almost giddy. He is top shelf. He knows qbs. I would trust him to identify a qb who maybe would have been overlooked by everyone else. If we get Callahan to coach the oline... oh man

that makes sense. He wasnt the same guy in the last quarter of the season and yesterday. Like completely different -
NEW HEAD COACH: Rex Ryan! It's Official!

Andrew Luck, Alex Smith (who was an apparent bust before Roman) and Kaepernick. Then add in the possibility of Bill Callahan for the OL. -

I love this hire. He was my first choice. When he first got to the Jets, I was highly irritated by him and wanted him to fail. I also remember admitting to Jets friends that "I wish we had him". He has learned and grown up a bit since then. He isnt a loose cannon anymore. So he knows how to play the Pats, Belichick, and Brady no matter the talent gap. We may have a team with more talent than the Pats right now. The coaching gap that perpetually exists between these 2 teams has closed a great deal. He also seems to be driven to be and beat Belichick. Which other of these coordinators being interviewed has as much experience against our #1 rival/threat as well as vested interest in overcoming the rival. You can also add the Jets there. I am sure on a very personal level he is going to want to beat his old team and prove to them they made a mistake. He also knows the current personnel. He knows the Dolphins as well and has prepared for Philbon and Tannehill a number of times now. He is a defensive coach. That plays into our strength. Maybe some of those guys will really dig him. He seems to be popular with players and perhaps that will be the glue that can keep the bones of the unit together. Keeping Schwartz is awesome and will provide continuity, players seem to like him, and they will maintain that hard hitting, almost undisciplined "edge" Then add in Roman and Callahan as offensive coaches. Cant get much better than that. Roman was awesome at Stanford in assisting Harbough turn that program around, and also did the same with the 49ers. Salvaged Alex Smith's career or at least had a hand in it. Probably had a lot to do with Kaepernick's success as an NFL QB. If you look at Stanford too, even though Harbough was on the scene already, they didnt become good until Roman got there as well as a QB called Andrew Luck, who Roman helped groom. It certainly doesnt guarantee success, but Rex Ryan, along with these coordinators checks so many boxes, and provide so much that a leap of faith into a coordinator does not provide. -
To me, its deception, a bit cowardly, and altered the result of the game which was going to be won by the better team. Its like Bill Belichick is Dick Dastardly and Brady is Muttley the dog. Im sick of them. Sick of these stupid tricks that keep them going to AFC Championship games and Superbowls. I really want them and their ugly elvis-head uniforms to go away.

Smoke and mirrors. They continue to do it. Baltimore was so much better

Not too worried about the shanahan rumor. Even within the organization I'm sure not many people really know exactly whats up, and that's if ownership and Whaley even know at this point. -

Way too many guys make the NFL HOF. That is how. It is a watered-down achievement. People complain, but MLB has it pretty correct. If nobody that year is deserving, nobody gets in. This year, cant argue with any of the 4 choices. All rock solid. -
you need to get the fans, local, and national media in on the deal as well

PSL prices for Falcons new stadium approved

these are only 11% of their seats. My current seats are probably in the bottom 11% Buffalo cant sustain PSLs and high ticket prices. At least for "common" seats. Im sure its well known in the sports business community nationally and locally. Their best bet is to strike hot like the Sabres. A few good seasons. Prime a season ticket holder cap with a waiting list. Keep the perceived demand and inch up the ticket prices. -
If Carolina advances further - playoff expansion.
May Day 10 replied to Talley56's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
the new format is designed to limit the power of the weak division winners as they will be seeded differently and not have a home game. If anything, how the NFC has shaken out will strengthen opinions in favor of the new format. NFC would be Seattle - bye and Home field Green Bay Dallas Arizona Detroit Philadelphia Carolina So Carolina would be @ Green Bay to start the playoffs, if they won, would need to go to Seattle. Philadelphia, who had a better record than Carolina would have gotten in and played Dallas. Arizona would have hosted Detroit. Sounds fair to me. AFC would have been New England - Bye and Home Field Denver Pittsburgh Indianapolis Cincinnati Baltimore Houston (I think) Wouldnt have made too much difference in the AFC, really. Other than letting Houston in and taking the bye from Denver.
