  1. He is a baby with a diaper rash. For a guy to play that awful when the Franchise placed so much hope on his signing is just so inexcusable. To make matters worse, I just read he graded out as the worse performer on the entire front line. He should have kept his mouth shut and simply threatened the life of that Offensive Tackle.
  2. Wa Wa Wa, that big un-drafted rookie from last weeks Practice Squad kept on punching me in the face. Wa Wa Wa.
  3. A colossal disgrace. An unforgettable, embarrassing opening game. No words can describe just how insulting this first game was. People get fired over something like this.
  4. Rookie Undrafted Tackle. A Major disgrace.
  5. Team, If this is a duplicate topic, my apologies. In prep for 1st weekend of football, found an interesting statistic. From 2006 - 2010, QB's who either led or were tied for the league lead in INT's thrown, all have something in common during their next season. What is that you ask? Each QB made it to the playoff's: 2006 - Ben Roethlisberger Pitt -> 2007 playoffs 2007 - Eli Manning GMEN -> 2008 playoffs 2008 - Brett Favre JETS -> 2009 playoffs with Vikings 2009 - Jay Cutler Bears -> 2010 playoffs 2010 - Eli Manning GMEN -> 2011 playoffs Who led the league in INT's in 2011? Ryan Fitzpatrick Bills. This post is not with the intent of comparing Fitz to those 5 QB's, just leading the league in INT's then what happened the following year. What's this mean for the Buffalo Bills in 2012????? Go Bills.
  6. Invest in Satellite Radio. The NFL Channel is wicked awesome. As is NHL / College Sports / Boneyard / etc. I live in Philly and the sports radio talk show station I am not a fan of.
  7. In my humble opinion, Marv set this franchise back about 4 - 5 years when he was GM. He should have turned down Ralph for the GM spot. The countless draft blunders still make me sick to my stomach - 2006 Donte Whitner when Haloti Ngata was available; trading up to draft the DT from NC State (Forgot his name already); 2007 not trading up to draft either Adrian Peterson or Patrick Willis. Just awful. We can say what we want with Buddy's 2010 draft, but Marv Levy tarnished his career with the GM job he did.
  8. Sure this all great and all. But Mario, please don't take snaps off and decide to nap a little during games. You are too good and the whole world called "Bills Country" is watching and counting on you to be the Super Man you are. You do your thing EVERY PLAY, Good Lord how good and nasty will Kyle and Marcel be up the middle. 9/9/12 cant get here soon enough!
  9. Physically he is. No question. He is a typical mid draft DT that takes time to develop. Look across rosters and you find mid draft DT's that don't become solid right away. I am not upset the Bills stuck with him. This is only his 3rd year. Maybe we will start to see the light bulb click on more often this season, especially watching the 4 starters play. Keping my fingers crossed that he makes a bigger impact this season.
  10. Call me whatever you want after reading my response. I have a hunch we will release Thigpen after the JETS game. Maybe we kept him around with the idea of blocking the JETS from picking him up prior to game 1. JETS realize opening day is huge vs the Bills. JETS have been known to rent players for a few weeks. Having 4 WR's on the roster I don't think is a big deal, not at this point in the season. If we review last year, how often did we actually have 4 WR's on the field? A combo of 2 out of CJ, Chandler, Dickerson will most probably be on the field if we go 5 wide. Another suspicion I have is I don't think we will go 5 wide a lot until Eric Wood is 100% both physically and mentally. I think Eric being rusty in the pre season with blitz pick up calls led to the blitzing Fitz had trouble with when we went 5 wide in pre season. Regardless, I am not convinced Buddy and Whaley are not kicking the tires to bring another WR off waivers or even trade.
  11. Obviously disappointed with how the Bills D did not respond like a potential top 5 D would in stuffing the Steelers within their own 2 yard line under 2 minutes. Completely inexcusable. Extremely concerning. For most of the first half, yes the D played well. However: Tackling was average to less than average. Why is Mario diving trying to tackle the RB instead of manning up and going shoulder to shoulder? To add to that, our LB's are giving me heart burn. Pittsburgh's Big Backs had the ability to move the pile forward, not by chunks, but still move forward. Opposing WR Speed may be a serious issue for our DB's. Wow is Pittsburgh's fleet of Wide Receivers fast, or what? I will have more in the next couple days. However, I am not seeing the steps forward as a team I thought I would have saw by now. This team has a lot of work to do. Hopefully, they can clean things up before it is to late. Thank goodness the Jets are not looking good either.
  12. Not applauding injuries. Not doing that. But I cant agree more. During the first half, up until the D Line went Night Night (which put me close to the cliff) with the 99 yard brain fart, they where getting good push. Not only did Decastro get injured, Pittsburgh lost another lineman as well and it was because of how, for 10 minutes maybe, intense the Bills Defense was.
  13. There is a big difference with what you say here. Don't disagree with your point about Free Agents. Buddy has a good eye for Free Agents - both College and Pro. However, folks are right, 2010 was a less than stellar draft. Brian Bulaga OT was there for the taking, we chose CJ instead. And there are some picks in these last two drafts that are starting to look like misses - maybe Kelvin Sheppard. I am of the mind set that as soon as Buddy hands of the keys to Doug Whaley, the better off the Bills as a collector of college talent will be. Not diminishing anything that Buddy has done. If we have to assess the overall performance of Buddy Nix, then, yeah, he could have hit better on the 2010 draft and in later rounds of 2011. However, this is also us as Bills fans turning over rocks to uncover mistakes and problems. Not every team every year hits with an A class in the draft. The Entire draft class of 2007 for the Pats are gone. Class of 2008 is almost gone as well. The 2008 NY JETS #1, the 4th overall Vernon Gholston, never panned out. You could say Miami set themselves back 10 years by not drafting Matt Ryan #1 overall in 2008, instead drafting Jake Long at Tackle. If I have to compare how the Bills are getting built draft / waiver wire / college free agent / pro free agent, just me and not saying I am predicting a Super Bowl win, except for drafting a QB in round 1 (although I think next year's #1 is our franchise QB), the Bills are being built very similar to Pittsburgh (surprise) and Green Bay as they were builidng in the early and mid 2000 decade.
  14. I know its preseason. But in preseason you will still get the feel for what your team will look like in the regular season. Right now, very concerned. People want to point to Detroit's 4 - 0 2008 preseason, that's OK. The same can be said for New Orleans in 2009. Record was 3 - 1, first three games they outscored opponents 100 - 28 and looked good doing it. They then want on the win the super bowl (well Indy lost the bowl more than the Saints won it). So yes, very concerned about the Bills rightnow.
  15. 1980 Opener vs Miami. A defensive stalemate with Miami leading 7 - 3 into the 4th quarter. Bills with about 8 minutes left marched down to take a 10 - 7 lead, then put Miami away with about 3 minutes left. Introduction to goal posts coming down.
  16. These two studs will be resigned, no wquestion. Doesnt the salary cap take a nice % jump next year in 2013 when the renewed TV contracts go in to affect? I could be wrong, but I thought I remembered reading this some where, maybe even here on twobillsdrive.
  17. One of my disfavored football players of all time.
  18. You should check in with your sponsor before posting. However, as cryptic as the message is, I understand where you are going, get it and agree. Gailey has done marvelous things with QB's of less than average talent - Kordell Stewart and Jay Fiedler come to mind. No saying Fitz is less than average, he is not. Fitz is fine. ANY QB would have been challenged in the 2nd half of last season with no comfortable #2, injuries to two spots on the O Line, losing Fred Ex and having broken ribs. We are good to go with Fitz as our QB.
  19. Agree on Rypien. He has one great year and one once in a lifetime game. Jim McMahon could be lumped in this group. So could Doug Williams.
  20. Posted last week. This is Gil Brandt's power ranking, right? Yeah this was in the Buffalo News as well.
  21. It is great and all how excited Marcel. Lets earn some good, nasty success on the field and win games before we throw out warnings. Not saying I don't think the Bills Defense will become a strength of the team, like the O Line did was last year. Just saying lets produce and win games first, then issue warnings all you want.
