All I can say in response to all you folks who left WNY is "that's fine...more room for me." You guys are why I live in the suburbs and yet have a ten-minute commute to work downtown.

This list came out over a year ago. I have only had the pleasure of seeing #'s 13, 28, 40, 50, 70, 72 and 88 play live.

The difference there was that Bruce had already played Rochester six months before that and Buffalo (HSBC) within the past year, plus just about every other venue in the Northeast during that time span (including Albany). By that time the upstate market had been saturated. I think the Stones won't face that problem. Incidentally, I went to all three of those shows plus one at the Razor when I happened to be in Boston that particular weekend. As a result I got to see him in a stadium (the Razor), a large arena (HSBC), a small arena (the War Memorial), and an outdoor amphitheatre (Darien Lake). Each had its own particular energy, charm and high points (Lost in the Flood and Tougher Than the Rest at HSBC, Blinded By The Light and Backstreets in Rochester, Racing In The Street and Adam Raised A Cain in Foxboro, and Tunnel of Love and County Fair at Darien Lake, just for example).

I personally think GNR was one of the best cover bands of all time. Paradise City, Knockin' on Heaven's Door, Sympathy for the Devil... all great remakes.

Actually I'm referring more to stories that I've heard here and elsewhere that he was the kind of parent who would scream at players and officials from the stands and loudly second-guess the decisions of his sons' coaches. Sometimes I think the hardest thing for a father who is also a coach to do is to leave other coaches alone when they're coaching his son.

Sir, I strenuously object! The Bills drafted Willis because (1) there was no defensive lineman worth taking at #23 after the earlier run on DLs, and (2) they had a chance to get a TOP 2 PICK with the 23rd selection. Travis was replaced in the starting lineup last season because he was underperforming, I can accept that. But the Bills didn't draft Willis because Travis was underperforming.

For every Archie Manning, Anthony Munoz and Jack Elway, there's a Marv Marinovich, Kellen Winslow or Bob Johnson.

What is this activity called "soccer" of which you speak?

I weighed 125 when I graduated high school. And I'm 5'11" (and was then, too). 155 when I graduated college; now I'm about 180. In sixth grade I think I was about 4'9 and 80 pounds.

Is it possible that part of the reason TD is holding on to TH is that as long as he is here, TD has at least some bargaining leverage against Drew Rosenhaus? Think for a second. The minute TH leaves, what's to stop Rosenhaus from bellying up to the bar and saying "Pardon me, but I couldn't help but notice that you only have one starting-caliber running back on your roster. Wouldn't you therefore agree with me that he's a tad underpaid?" I don't think anyone believes that TH could beat out Willis. But at the very least, right now Rosenhaus knows that TD's response to a demand for renegotiation would at least start along the lines of "You want to hold out? Fine. We've got a running back behind you who's rushed for over 1,300 yards in this league and is just dying to show everybody what he's worth."

What do I make of it? Well, I can make a hat... or a brooch... or a pterodactyl...

A lot of the actors today who are in their 30's, like me (especially Black, Stiller, Vaughn, the Wilsons, Ferrell, Affleck, Damon, etc.) grew up on the TV shows, movies and comic books they're recreating and remaking these days. So it's a bit of a labor of love for them. For example, you can easily see just how much fun Stiller and Wilson had making "Starsky & Hutch," and there are plenty of other examples. Me, I grew up on that stuff as well, and so I don't mind these movies. Nothing wrong with a little nostalgia now and then.

All the Ivies provide financial aid on the basis of need. You take out the maximum in loans, you work a work-study job during the year, the school figures out what your parents can pay, and then the school makes up the difference. Then you pay your share back with your earnings after graduation. That's what I did. Saying you didn't go because you couldn't afford the tuition isn't quite accurate. It's more accurate to say that you didn't APPLY because you didn't want to incur long-term debt, or your parents thought college should cost less than what the schools thought they could pay, or both. I'm not saying those aren't valid considerations. They are. But nobody who is willing to make those sacrifices can say they "couldn't afford the tuition" after financial aid comes into play. Incidentally, and this is just to pick a nit, every Ivy could just about fill its incoming class with 4.0's and 1600 SATs. They don't, because grades are only one part of the admissions criteria. So saying you "had the grades" to get into Harvard or Yale just puts you on the same footing with the 12,000 people who apply to Harvard and Yale each year -- only 2,000 or so of whom are actually accepted.

The question is, which finger is he using to describe his pecker?

Gonna be awhile before you get invited to break bread with these folks again, I suspect.
