  1. Bandwagon fans either a) root for a different team during bad times or b) know virtually nothing about their team during bad times. I have a feeling that you were neither in your time of abandonment. Welcome back to Hardcore Town though.
  2. My call: Bills do not make a first round pick. Instead, they trade it, Stevie Johnson, and a 2rd round pick next season for Sammy Watkins who was selected by the Cleveland Browns. This is only possible since Manziel is still available at 9 when we are on the clock. The deal was made pre draft that if Cleveland was able to take Watkins and Manziel was still there at 9 the deal would be done. As both teams wanted to ensure that they would get their guy in the deal, the deal was not officially made until the Bills were actually on the clock. A. Spikes is on a one year deal. B. Many feel that Mosley is a much more versatile LB than Spikes who is primarily just a run stopper specialist. C. Mosley would potentially be played as an OLB with Kiko and Spikes D. See SF linebackers, if you think you can have two elite LBs, you do it. Spikes is not an elite LB, many are saying Mosley is going to be a perennial probowler. This would be a fantastic draft in my opinion.
  3. Clowney - "Damn it Feels Good to be a Gangsta" - Geto Boys Mack - "rooster the Hammer" - Cypress Hill Manziel - "I'm Gone" - Kanye West Watkins - "Put it On" - Big L Mosley - "Ruff Ryders" - DMX Matthews - "Old Man" - Neil Young
  4. Just answered the question guy. Said nothing about Mack or it's relevance to taking him #1.
  5. Jarvis Landry will be a good / great WR and the best WR value in the draft.
  6. Aundray Bruce 1988. How did that work out? Oh, and the time before that? 1979, Tom Cousineau to the...Buffalo Bills.
  7. Nice job, better than most "expert" mocks. Would be helpful if you posted all of the original teams from the traded slots (some are there) and maybe what the trade was to see if it makes sense. I can't imagine St. Louis not taking an OL, just can't do it. I really like your Donald pick to Minn. I also am not a Barr fan at all. I said a few months ago (http://forums.twobil...80#entry3048425 post #11) that he was falling when he was rated top 5 by many and got called out by numerous people (just like I did last year with Geno when he skipped the Senior Bowl - http://forums.twobil...r bowl__st__40 post #42, 44, 51). Well, guess what fellas? He's a fallen! I don't think he'll go in the top 20 and if he does, they are going to be very disappointed in what they get. With that being said, I've been saying Mosley is the second best LB for a while now. I think he goes higher than you project and I really like the Ravens grabbing him and loving the guy for 8 or so years.
  8. At this point I'd be more surprised if he were there at #9 than I would be if he was drafted before we even had a chance to take him.
  9. Sorry, but the Big 10 just isn't what it used to be. 4th or 5th best football conference now. I'm just not in love with the talent on a middle of the road program in the rapidly declining talent pool of the Big 10. Unless they are OL, I'd stick to the SEC, Pac 10, Big 12, and ACC.
  10. Bills make round 1 selection. Both ESPN and NFL Network cut to commercial immediately. Return from break, next team selects.
  11. They have basically said they could trade up, they could trade down, or they could stay put. In a nutshell, they basically haven't said anything at all. And you know what? I believe them. If there is a player available that they want to trade up for and they think the asking price to do so is right, they'll do it. If they are sitting at 9 and like someone there without having any offers that are too good to pass up, they'll draft there. If they are sitting on the clock and someone sees their player has fallen and they must trade up for him (Donald? Barr? Evans? Ebron?), well maybe they'll offer a great package and we trade down. I believe any scenario is equally as likely to happen at this point and I'm ok with all of them.
  12. It's not that it was too long, it was impossible to follow. I think comparing Marge Schott is not the thing to do here. She made her comments roughly 25 years ago. Totally different era. Comments like that, while certainly frowned upon, we're not as big of a deal as they are today. Things like that were simply not thought of as harshly 25 years ago. Add to that the impact of social media where the league / players / figures can see directly the fans opinions on the matter in their voices, thousands of times over and over, ad neaseum basically. Previously it really only came from the media (who used to move on after a day or two, now they linger for weeks and months on certain stories.) Finally, what Marge said was not about 90% of her players like it is in this case. Quite simply, you have to be much smarter than that these days regardless of your "right" to feel how you want to feel and say what you want to say.
  13. I would love to know how he came up with $40M in actual damages. I would assume it's business related...would have earned $40M in revenues if he was able to wine and dine certain clients at the game. I don't know. Seems like an awfully big number there. Smaller actual damages and larger punitive damages would have been the way I would have attacked this.
  14. I must say, I'm a bit surprised that there are some of you who like Evans over Watkins. Interesting. I thought it was a given that Watkins was the WR of choice for everyone, guess not.
  15. Simple, assuming we stay at 9, who do you think are the top 9 on the Bills Big Board and who are the top 9 on Your Big Board for the Bills? We would be selecting the highest player remaining on the Board when we draft. BILLS Board: 1. Clowney 2. Mack 3. Watkins 4. Robinson 5. Lewan 6. Mathews 7. Mosley 8. Ebron 9. Evans My Board for the BILLS: 1. Clowney 2. Watkins 3. Mack 4. Manziel 5. Robinson 6. Ebron 7. Mosley 8. Donald 9. Mathews
  16. Uhhh....did you watch him play last season? He is one of the best.
  17. CJ depends on being completely healthy (which he was not last season hampered by a bad ankle) and a good OL (which we did not have last year). With a good OL and good health, he is better than FJ in my opinion. Freddy is Freddy regardless of his health and how good or bad our line is. Solid runner that will get you solid yards on every carry and heart that just don't find on every team. Spiller was healthy in 2012 and we had a better line that year as well, result: much better performance. Huge plays every game, very few negative or 0 yard runs. He was sliding though holes and making cuts that he just couldn't do last year. Also, we had a pretty conservative playbook last year with EJ et. all at the helm, this allowed Ds to play more run D than before IMO. Spiller is a special talent, Freddy is a special all around person / leader / player. Hope we have them both for a few more years at least.
  18. He's only asking if it's legal. Obviously it would never happen, but it is legal if the trust allows it.
  19. It would depend on what the Trust says. That's the legally binding document you'd have to follow here first. Generally speaking, if you own something, regardless of how valuable it is, and you want to give it away for free or for much less than it is worth, you can do it. This is America after all.
  20. Well, if Evans is taken by anyone other than Tampa it looks like no one is winning this year! Only a small few have him going anywhere else.
  21. There's only one sheltered person here...32 NFL GMs who won't go near this guy are sheltered too I suppose?
  22. I think you are severely overestimating the value of the 4th compared to the 9th overall pick.
  23. This would be just about his 10th chance. There's a reason St. Louis and the Bills didn't want him before the scandal and there's a reason why he's still a free agent right now. Not to mention bringing in a guy like this on a young, impressionable team is just not what you want to do. On some occasions, talent just isn't enough.
  24. Well, they always say DBs are just WRs that can't catch and he can make some tackles. Not a horrible thought to take a look at him there. He's obviously not going to amount to anything as a WR at this point to me.
  25. I don't like any of the BPA or Value picking mentality at all. If I were running things I'd grade out my entire team and grade out the draft class. If I have a offensive or defensive starting position graded out at say a 65 Guard (on a 0-100 scale for instance) and there was a guard on the board who I rated as a 90, I would take him over a 95 RT when I already have a 80 RT on the roster. 90-65=25 95-80=15. 25>15. You would improve your team more this way. Draft the player that will provide the biggest impact on your squad and build around what you already have. This is a win now league for the most part, and this is the best way to win now. Obviously not a perfect system as some positions are more valuable (namely QB) but I think you get the jist of what I'm trying to say.
