Best Actor/Actress Of All Time?
Mark80 replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Mentioned him earlier as a "when did he become such a great actor" referencing his performance on True Detective. But looking back at him, he's been good for quite a while. Greatest ever, hell no, but damn good, hell yes. -
It's on like a mofo: NBA edition...Lebron opts out of Miami

I think it's on like a mofo in Houston and Chicago too. My favorites to land him in order right now: Heat, Cavs, Houston, Chicago, LAC. I think Dirk's age scares him away from Dallas. Carmelo, that's a different story there though. -
And don't get me wrong, fellas, I do think he should have received a Red card and a suspension for the bite, I was just saying that I didn't think he should have received a lifetime ban or a one or two year suspension like some of the guys on ESPN and a lot of people who put comments on the bottom of various articles were trying to say he should. I would have put it at 10 games for this (after I would have done 3 for the first and 7 for the second). Ohhh, I didn't catch that part of it. That will be a significant number of total games then. And as a LIverpool supporter I'm now pretty pissed (at Suarez for being so stupid).

I'm on the record as saying I don't think this is such a big deal. However, considering he got suspended 10 games for his last biting incident it doesn't make any sense that he was suspended less games for his third offense. FIFA is so messed up.

I think we are closer than we have been in years

I believe that Hackett's development as a play caller and schemer is just as, if not more, important than EJ. He must be put in a position to succeed before he can succeed. -
Personally, I don't think a bite is really that big of a deal. It's much better than some of the leg sweeping that goes on that can end guys careers and leading into a tackle with cleats up which basically can act as daggers. Sure it hurts and is a bit weird, but hearing guys clamor for a lifetime ban or a two year ban is a bit ridiculous to me. Additionally, we've all heard rumors of what goes on in the bottom of an NFL / College football pile. Just look at that video of Spikes from Florida basically trying to gauge a guys eyes out. That too, is much worse in my opinion.

Didn't you guys hear? The bite mark was photoshopped! Funniest explanation I've ever heard!
-
Wow man, you are exceedingly cruel.

He's won 4 of the last 5 soccer player of the year awards (now Ballon d'Or Award) and finished 2nd the other time. I'd say he's been the real thing for some time now.

Just because you didn't hear about it, doesn't mean it didn't happen with MJ. I can pretty much guarantee you that with the history of the PIstons v Bulls Michael was approached about bringing Rodman to the Bulls. We just get way too much info these days with the sports paparrazish media and social medial. -
Best Actor/Actress Of All Time?

She was the cutest actress of her time, adorable really...then she destroyed herself with plastic surgery. Such a shame, same with Melanie Griffith. -
I always find myself swearing at people who are on the interstate going 45 or 50 when traffic is going 60+. It is a driving hazard just as, if not more dangerous than speeding yet I've never heard of anyone pulled over for going too slow (i'm sure it's happened but probably only on more extreme cases than 10 MPH below). Can't imagine how surprising it was to see a car completely stopped in the middle of a lane. Terrible accident.

Al is good and often great, no doubt. But, he has just as many roles where he is annoying as hell as he does when he's fantastic. Carlito's Way, Any Given Sunday, and Insomnia for example. -
For the love of god please tell me you didn't just compare Robert Plant to the Hanson brothers.

Actor - Jack NIcholson, Leonardo DiCaprio, Matthew McConaughey, Paul Newman, Marlon Brando. Leo and McConaughey...see The Departed, Django Unchained, Inception and True Detective, A Time to Kill, and Dazed and Confused as tremendous examples of their talent. Also, probably not a greatest of all time or anything, but speaking of True Detective...when did Woody Harleson become such a great actor? Actress - Hands down Meryl Streep. She's amazing in everything she does. -
I think Columbia has been the most impressive so far. But really, anyone that advances has a legit shot. I'm going South America though, Columbia, Brazil, Argentina are my 3 picks.

That's great. "What the hell is this crap." What a way to start it off. On the flip side, this one is awesome on the other end of the spectrum (but 80s so can't go in the other thread). Love how he doesn't know who it is at first even though he wears their T-shirt. Classic. http://youtu.be/GQb0gr8Y82Y

I'm looking beyond the stats here man (which is strange for me because I'm typically a very big numbers guy). The shots he takes now are pretty much always wide open shots. Shooting .516 overall and .339 3 pointers as an NBA player is NOT impressive to me when all you take are open shots. LeBron shot .567 / .370 last season. Pretty much every shot he takes is contested (unless he blows by a guy and dunks it). I'm sure you aren't saying Bosh is even close to the level of LeBron, but hopefully you get my point a little bit. -
It's really the Orchestral cover of that song done by their Manager at the time. It's really obvious in it.
-
Well, that's dumb. It would be like Texas and New York fielding their own squads. They need to look themselves in the face, see that they can't really compete with the status quo and start a new tradition...one of winning.
-
And speaking of Bale, why doesn't England play as Great Britain so they could take advantage of player like him? Burying him and Ramsey on the Welch squad is such a shame. They play as Great Britain in the Olympics and most other international sport competitions. Edit: Oh, guess they don't in most other international sports then huh?
-
I understand Bale, Tottenham is not as flush with cash as the others and I didn't know Man U was in debt when they sold Ronaldo so I can understand that now, but LIverpool has tons of cash and so does Arsenal and they sold Van Persie to a big time rival?
-
I don't get it. Didn't they just re-sign him to an extension this year? Yep: http://www.forbes.com/sites/kurtbadenhausen/2013/12/20/liverpool-signs-controversial-luis-suarez-to-75-million-contract/ I don't understand why clubs like Liverpool would sell a player like this (well, at least before yesterday's game when this article was published). Arsenal selling Van Persie to Man U? Man U selling Renaldo to Real Madrid? It's not like these teams can't afford these guys, just doesn't make sense to me sometimes. It would be like the Patriots selling Brady to the Jets in 2005. Craziness.
