Wide Receiver Train Full Speed Ahead- CHOO CHOO!
WhitewalkerInPhilly replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
I know this would cost an arm and a leg but Higgins would be the final piece of a Coleman and Shakir trio. -
I'm thrilled to have him back but at this point I honestly think it's the right thing for him personally. I could maybe see the Bears with a young QB to mentor, cap space and picks. Heck I hate the Cowboys but competent HC work with a mid-tier starting QB could have worked. But if the last seat is the Saints? They are $50 million over the cap with Derek Carr as their QB. That is, at best, a multi-year project. Next year has looming questions for the Colts, Browns, Seahawks, Cardinals, Panthers and Falcons. I think he'd have better luck there.

Censorship in twobills drive
WhitewalkerInPhilly replied to USCGBILLSFAN's topic in The Stadium Wall
To be fair, he's not ashamed. He's ass-shamed. Maybe he just has a undesirable rear end -
To me this is what Brady does that Dorsey never did. If he sees a tendency that he thinks can be exploited he builds the gameplan around that. If winning means Josh has less than 200 combined yards he does it and Josh has bought in enough that he is fine with that. I wanted us to keep Diggs. We do not have this offense had he remained.

He's not wrong. If the Bills were playing from behind I expect they would have turned it on. Josh threw it deep on that first drive. But that was followed by two Ravens turnovers with the run and short pass game productive and clicking up until halftime at which point clock management and avoiding the big turnover becomes a thing. If Andrews catches that 2 point conversions I suspect the limits would have come off

Anything that has a higher chance of Joe Brady staying another year

So we're moving on from Harbaugh right?
WhitewalkerInPhilly replied to section122's topic in The Stadium Wall
I saw a Ravens fan reaction video today and his question was simple: What on Earth can we do from a roster perspective that leads to a different result? They have a 2 time, likely 3 time MVP under center (leaving aside whether those are deserved). They have a HoF running back and an All Pro Fullback. They have a Pro Bowl WR1 and TE1s. They have 2 more All Pros on defense. If the coaching staff can't get to the Conference Finals with that roster, what else can they do? Ownership might decide that a decent HC is easier to find than another QB -
AFC Championship Game Week Thread - Bills at Chiefs
WhitewalkerInPhilly replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
He is available IIRC. I think it's telling that he has never been elevated shows that McDermott would have rather taken the chance on playing Cole Bishop. But if Rapp is hard out, I can see a chance. -
AFC Championship Game Week Thread - Bills at Chiefs

Whew yesterday was a great win. I'm ready for the next round. Let's get the monkey off our back. If there is a year to do it, are we getting a better year? -
Believe me, I would much rather have it this way than the other way around but the doublethink on some of these guys is incredible. It's stunning that the Ravens lost because their roster is so amazing that the media voted them into the Pro Bowl and All Pro lists...but somehow the guy who blew out so many wins that he effectively sat for two games doing so with an inferior squad is less impressive?

Let's be completely honest, if the positions were reversed we wouldn't hear the end of the narrative about Josh Allen turnovers

I was thinking earlier today "Man, if the Bills win this would be the first time I am actually looking forward to Nick Wright be a condescending prick." Though I feel dirty saying this...I think Nick Wright has had the most reasonable Bills takes this season. He still sees them on a tier lower than KC, but everyone else has been talking about how the Ravens were expected to "impose their will"
