  1. That's really what I was looking at. Rapp is a bruiser, we needed a center fielder. I agree that I think safety is on the docket to draft. The Bills had combine visits from DeJean, Bullock and Bullard, and any of those three sound like they could compete for a starting job and it's not crazy to think they would be available into round 3. I know the Bills don't have a pick there, but with all their 5th rounders, I think they could package one of those 4ths to move it.
  2. I had a lot of time to parse this last season. I don't hate the Jets. Oh, I certainly dislike them, but they haven't done enough to the Bills to make me dislike them the way I will forever hate Tom Brady, Teddy Bruschi and the Hoodie. What I have come to loath is the amount of attention they get because the team is located at the largest media market of the country. The Jets are the little cousin to the Giants in their own city, the longest current playoff drought in the league, and are betting it all on a 41 year old QB coming off of what is a career ending injury to some players. So, of course, they are the favorites.
  3. Again, Simmons is on the market. I would like Blackmon, I am not panicking yet
  4. Hey, analytics tells us that 100% of games are won by the team that had the most points
  5. You pick your depth in rounds 3-5.
  6. When we first signed Poyer! Thanks for pointing that out, I'll fix it
  7. At the top end are Justin Simmons and Jamal Adams, so there is absolutely still a top end of the market. That said, while Simmons and Adams have the better resume (All Pro and Pro Bowls), Simmons is 30 and Adams has an even worse injury history than Blackmon. Blackmon is 25, which makes him about Poyer's age when he first came to Buffalo. Getting him cheap could the the start of another run.
  8. It's hard for me to hate on the possibility of another Eric Wood anchoring the O-line for another decade. I'd prefer WR or S, but we can get decent fits there in rounds 2-3 and a center would let McGovern stay at LG.
  9. Pretty much. A solid (not necessarily spectacular) starting safety to pair with Rapp gets the Bills a starting roster that I think can win the division while overall having gotten younger. Hope that you get some incredible play out of your new rookies.
  10. Completely agree. Do I want the Bills to draft alternatives? Absolutely. But Blackmon and Rapp are complementary to each other and a tandem like that would mean that the Bills are not forced into overdrafting or rushing in someone who isn't ready.
  11. Pretty much what I think. Someone is going to lose at musical chairs and take a bridge to a year where the market isn't so flooded. Simmons or Adams might be one, but even a budget FA would let us develop a guy.
  12. I'd call that plan A, but considering some of the holes, I am not against taking the Floyd route: if a fantastic S is not seeing the money he wants, offer him a one year rental and draft a safety (or two) in rounds 1-4. I'd not sneeze at Cooper DeJean, Bullard or Bullock somewhere in there.
  13. People are giving you business for this, but if the season started today that is exactly what I would do. Tell me who on this roster is a better Hyde style center-fielder? I've heard people say Taron hits harder than some linebackers, and he clearly has the speed, instinct and ball skills. Now, I want (and suspect) another safety in FA and one in the draft to keep our scheme, but I honestly think the Bills could play a bit heavier without giving up too much in pass coverage (Milano, Bernard and Williams are generally excellent in coverage) To prove it LOOK AT THIS PHOTOGRAPH!
  14. Would be happy enough if he falls to 28
  15. Why have one starting QB washout when you can have two?!?
  16. Look, he's a good player but that looks like it's going to be the last of their salary cap before rookies on a one year deal and they are probably going to need to add some void years to fit him. Rodger's contact is a ticking bomb
  17. Believe me, I am hearing that. They effectively fired his choice of OCs after the season and brought in Kellen Moore and Vic Fangio which...to be fair, are fairly objective upgrades, but the message the local tea readers get is that the leash is short. To really hammer home how much they used him as a battering ram, they used the Brotherly Shove all season while Dorsey held off the planned runs and Josh and Hurts still tied for Rushing TDs. I took a quick watch of all Allen TDs in 2023 and by my count 5 were Schnowplow, two were rugby scrums and the remaining 9 were josh taking a snap reading the coverage and going in untouched.
  18. I love the full quote But yes, I don't think Samuel is going to break any solo historic NFL records while he's here. But that he can be used in so many ways means that Brady has more options on matchups while using similar personnel groups and run similar plays with different groups
  19. That's where I am. I think he is *better* than what we had for a WR2, but his true value will be slot and backfield.
  20. 3/10 not cryptic enough and too positive. I need to panic The bills get a little bit more total this year, and that amount is enough to sign out draft picks and have a bit more left over for in season street free agent acquisitions
  21. Aaron Donald would like to thank Josh Allen for not killing him with that stiffarm
  22. Not going to lie, when I first saw this I thought it meant Pickens, which would really be an insane move
  23. *Raises hand from Eagleland* From the bits I have heard in local talk radio, there has been some concern about Jaylen Hurts' ability to stay healthy. He missed a bunch of games near the end of the regular season in their SB run and they are conjecturing whether the fall off at the end of 2023 was an unreported injury because the Eagles OC at the time (Brian Johnson) simply could not develop a blitz beater package so Hurts started taking a lot of hits. Plus, they were running Hurts a ton in goalline situations: he was tied with Josh for QB rushing TDs despite Josh having 10 pounds and 4 inches on him. Talk show hosts were considering trading for Justin Fields
  24. Hey I put NOTHING by Spanos
