I've never truly considered the Jets a true rival in the same regard as I did the Dolphins in the old days, but I've always hated the Jets more than almost any other team. Part of it is the NY aspect where the players, fan base and media all hype them up far beyond is appropriate due to the market. They aren't now nor have they ever been the NY Yankees, but you wouldn't know it listening to their fans' sense of entitlement. We saw the media hype ramp up when Rodgers was a Jet, though it was proven to be completely unwarranted. They were competitive and entertaining during the Rex Ryan years, but during my lifetime, they've almost exclusively been pretenders. The Jets haven't been to the Super Bowl since Joe Willie Namath, for crying out loud.

9/7/25 2nd Half Game Thread - Bills vs Ravens SNF
Punch replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
It went from a 2 score game to a 2 score game (crosses fingers, rubs rabbits foot, searches for a 4 leaf clover.. ). -

They dismissed that it mattered at all, not that it was a secret. I'm not sure I understand why it would be reasonable for them to dismiss the caller's point when you confirm the Bills clearly should've adjusted in game. Jeremy and Nate refused to acknowledge the tendency, which was then exploited by the Chiefs, much to our chagrin.

Hard to beat the Chiefs and the refs every post-season
Punch replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
I've lived in Northern Virginia for 15 years, and although I know a handful of Bills fans in the area, I'm primarily surrounded by fans of other teams. Unequivocally, the feeling amongst those fans and as far as I can tell, commenter's online and on TV is that the Bills didn't get a fair shot. That's as even keeled as I can put it, but regardless, the sentiment doesn't help... at all. -
I mentioned this before, but on Sunday afternoon, a caller into WGR told Jeremy and Nate that he noticed Allen always tush pushes/sneaks to the left pushing off his right foot. He mentioned the Chiefs would certainly be aware of this and be prepared, although Jeremy and Nate more or less dismissed him. I keep thinking about that caller.

Lost in the sauce: Outstanding Performances vs KC
Punch replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
I remember the feeling after the 2021 Divisional Round at Arrowhead that it was a shame the 2nd half performance would likely be lost to history. That hasn't really happened, but it's difficult to celebrate it the same way we would if they'd won the game. I don't know what to make of all these ultimately fruitless albeit heroic efforts. James Cook's game should go down as an all-time great postseason performance, but I can't imagine ever wanting to watch it again. Its such a sad, melancholy feeling. Like a funeral. Go Bills. -
Kurt Warner breaks down the 4th down. Allen error?

This is an interesting take on how well disguised the CB was: -
I'm vacilating back and forth between feeling fine and feeling like I'm being tortured.

Kurt Warner breaks down the 4th down. Allen error?

If the teams were reversed in this situation, is there any doubt Kelce catches it and all anybody talks about is the greatness of Mahomes? It wasn't an "easy" catch to make, especially if Kincaid was really playing on torn ligaments, but he had time to adjust and wait for it to him in the hands, unmolested. -

I'm reminded of when the Sabres beat Ottawa in 5 games in 2005-06 to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals. The Senators' flagship radio station took calls for hours after the elimination game which they dubbed the "annual all night wake". I experienced true schadenfreude, friends. It was short lived. Being a Buffalo sports fan is a non stop wake and there is no release from the torment. Go Bills.
